All the worst experiences usually happen when we are newcomers and we are still learning about cryptocurrency.

I once showed off my total assets on social media when I started learning cryptocurrency in the hope of getting attention and getting good reputation from my friends. But the worst thing happened, where all of my assets were suddenly stolen by unknown people and I felt frustrated about it. The total is around $ 200 USD, besides that I also bear the shame which turns out that my friend who has assets above $ 10k prefers to be quiet and not share it on social media.
This incident happened when I was 18 years old and my family's economic condition was in poor condition.

My bad experience is almost the same as yours, which is too greedy and Not exit at the correct time, because at that time I still didn't have much experience, but luckily I didn't send anything to the scammers
But the one that I think is the worst is trading on the "coinsmarkets" exchange which suddenly turned into a scam and I lost a lot of money there.
but that's all just a story and from there I got a lot of lessons, especially "don't hold assets in exchange"

My worst experience is my Ethereum wallet getting hacked, this set me back a lot, thanks goodness we are seeing better security measures and I still believe we will continue to see more hacks in the space as new entrants enter the space, people always take security with levity until their account is hacked

What are your next steps to anticipate what you have experienced, it's the worst experience for those who feel it. The results of your hard work do not leave a mark if hackers take it. It's time to be more careful about taking careless actions and making big bad things happen.
Careful in a way that you'll be more responsible in keeping your balances.

You'll be careful and won't be confident that you will keep your assets onto the exchanges just as what's most of the newbies are confident to do. You don't stay your assets on exchanges.

And, you will always be vigilant and careful with the websites you visit and online forms that you fill up.

Learned from it and start imporving your knowledge, with the setup of this industry where there are many hackers and scammers around, you really need to be more furios, experienced dictates what are the next moves to take.

If you want to avoid another hack to happened to you, be more vigilant and always update yourself with good securities to use.

It's your money and it's your responsibilites to keep it safe and aways from thos intruders who loves bypassing securities and sucking  others fund.

As I'm being part of crypto currency way back 2017, I earned a lot of money as much as $4000 all in all but it's doesn't mean I have it all in one time. During does golden year, I support my financial stability and will able to buy things that I want. After, that my worst experience is that I was scammed more or less $200 as I try to invest a project but in the end doesn't response after I transfer. Well, this kind of doing here is not as permanent as it we try to risk and I learned my mistakes that having a money needs to invest a business that can be sure in the end even does not huge income as long as it's profitable.

Cryptocurrency is a miracle of the world in this century, in a short time we can be rich or poor. My bad experience happened in 2017, at that time I tried to invest a small amount and it turned out that I was losing. Then I raised about $1000 in capital to buy a few altcoins, and the results were far from being expected.
My biggest mistake was that I jumped into the world of cryptocurrency without the slightest experience.
The bad experience I had is the best teacher for me, learning from experience sometimes exceeds the lessons we get in school.  So never invest if you are not readying to lose.

You know, the worst thing that could happen to anyone is to see this in your inbox.

That's something that could make you experience that "mini" heart attack. I think that's more hurtful than being scammed, TBH.

My experience is much similar to yours in Jan 2018 My portfolio was 23000$ but I became greedy for more and did not exit by selling my coins. Later on, I was waiting for the rise back of my coins but I was wrong and still holding my coins, and slowly-slowly in 2 years, it remains only 4000$. Whenever I thought about this I feel very frustrated but I learned a lesson not to make the same mistake again. Now in the previous 2-3 months, I sold my some coins with good profit and I am satisfied I made a good profit but after the bitter experience of huge loss.
We sometimes overly think that the market will keep growing and neglect to think about the possibility of drops which is how the volatility affects. Being greedy isn't totally a bad thing but sometimes this also a reason why we fail. I didn't have that kind of experience but I learn that because of my friend and it serves me as an awareness. I'd come not to hold for a long period of time, I'm just observing the market flow and I won't hesitate to sell my coins if the profit is already good and enough for me.

3. Lost due to invest to scam ICO, thats why you need to choose and dio research about ICO.
There are a lot of people who lose money on scam ICOs, it was a really bad experience.
I also used to lose money with scam ICOs, after attracting the investor's money the ICO development team was gone and never came back.

I never lost any money in scam ICOs, but I participated in some of the bounty projects of these ICOs and never got my salary for the same. I spent a lot of time and effort in them, so it really hurts a lot. And there are thousands of users like me, who worked hard on various bounty projects, only to be scammed later. Anyway, I was fortunate to find a slot in one of the signature campaigns which makes the payment in Bitcoin.

what is worse than selling your coin cheaply for a meager profit while a few days later it shot up 150x from your initial capital?
it just happened with me a few days ago, bought something called unity token and sold it for 18x profit.
with only 3$ I made it into 56$ but then if I were to sell it a few days later I would have gotten it around 4000$.
literally I could not sleep peacefully in the night and feeling grieved over it.

On the bright side, you made 18 times more profit, which is a really huge amount of profit a transaction can take.
So instead of regret you should continue to research and invest, it is likely that you will come across another similar currency.

Maybe in 2017 many people were in the same situation as you, it was a time of ICO hype and people often hold back to wait for it to continue to rise in price.
In 2017 I also spent $ 10k on a trash project, it was truly an unforgettable experience.

from all your statements it seems that you can make it as an experience, I still want to hear from you how you can lose $ 200 from a scammer. because of that there must be one reason that I don't think is good.
right now I think experience in losses can provide a good option for getting bigger profits.

Well if almost got baited in phishing sites would count, my experience was that I joined an airdrop randomly without expecting any email reply from the airdrop I joined.
The next day, I received an email that claims to be part of the project and it wants me to collect the tokens in their site. The site claims that they're in partnership with MyEtherWallet because that's the wallet I used back in the days.
At that point, I smell something fishy already so I closed it and cleared my browser like everything. The thread went dead the other day.
That was my one and only worst crypto experience so far.

I wouldn't count the 2018 crash of Bitcoin because that was an opportunity for me to buy more.

Sorry for the loss by the way, OP.

I don't know if someone have same experienced with pancakeswap. I'm brought have of my asset at pancakeswap with CBIX then I tried liquidity pool so that I can stake my CBIX. After a hour of staking, I cancelled it, then suddenly I could not get back my total CBIX.
I just experienced what they called impermanent loss in pancakeswap and from that moment I started not to used pancakeswap again.
Many people tried to help me but at the end they are all scammers.

i got scammed by cloud mining sites promising huge earnings in Dogecoin and then turned out to be ponzi schemes.
that was my first lesson, before making any decisions do your research and if something is too good to be true it simply isn't.

My worst experience is selling altcoins with potential so I can sell early because the admin wasn't active and there weren't very good updates on their project but that was a lesson to me and I didn't become a strong holder of my altcoins so I should be patient and also don't be greedy especially in investing.
