I dont think there is anything wrong with coinmarketcap, though I dont like their new coin listing process but most of the time it is the updated stat about any coin present.

I think is fine with coinmarketcap. I also still see frequent updates of the new coin entry. If it does not exist in coinmarketcap, means the coin indeed may yet dimarket listings. Be patient, wait and do not be too hasty.

Their is nothing wrong with coinmarketcap, it's just a lot of new coins are released and I think maybe they have a team that is not solid and inexperienced and does not have a good business partner to support the ICO, because an ICO when launched it will have a coin and a clear website, because of course investors will see their website to analyze and read the white paper and ICO roadmap before investing.

all this time and set me to enroll in coinmarketcap is very difficult and they are very selective to register coins, because only coins that look serious with the project, but also sometimes can enter bad coins that after registered in coinmarketcap they do a scam in the project

This question has already been raised many times on the forum, why such a large number of dead coins. The answer has already been given, the coin that currently has a weak capitalization, or small sales turnover, is not dead, the seasonal trend is difficult to distinguish from the death of the project, if earlier there were millions of turns.

it's bit confusing, before taking any initiative or investing money we should gather knowledge as much as we can, if we see any suspaciosue things about any currency we shoud be aware, and learn more about it.
this is so true
we have to gather all information as much as we can

coinmarketcap is a great tool but also has a lot of flaws.
In the past there werent any requirements to get listed so there are a lot of coins that are literally dead that are still on there (with very old data).
Once they get listed they stay there.

Now, there is a small requirement that a coin needs to have at least 100,000 in trading volume to get listed, but that's it.

another problem is that, for some reason, some coins just don't get updated frequently.
There have been many theories for this, ranging from conspiracy theories (cmc does it on purpose to manipulate prices) to technical problems (they don't have automated systems for certain low volume exchanges).

Taking all of this into account, you should be very careful when speculating on buy/sell points when looking at cmc because it is often innacurate.
The actual movement and price on the exchange itself is the real price.

I checked it out, there are a lot of coins that don't even have a website,

is anyone here that is part of that websites managment?

Why is their website so badly managed, and how can a new coin get listed? is this website dead?

regards

Coinmarketcap is just a tool to help people in checking the prices, information of coins. So it's not hard to add any coins to this website. (They have the criteria for this: https://coinmarketcap.com/faq/ ). They don't do anything wrong and they have no obligation to verify the quality of coins.

The problem in the coinmarketcap is that there are lots of complaints regarding poor services and there are some cases that there investment is slowly decreasing without any withdrawals of their money.

They have now integrated updates that update not every 5 minutes, and quotes update now occurs every minute, as there were a lot of opinions about the fact that many people noticed the involvement of the CMC in the cartel.

i think deleted coins is not real time updated on coin market caps, they only real time updated the price and volume.
This is normal i think because the worker of the websites is human and they need time to do it

It's not so hard for developers to get to the list of CoinmarketCap. Maybe the site does not work for your chosen coin, since the project was closed after adding to coinmarketcap and now it should take a little time to be removed from the list.

Thats is not coinmarketcap problem, I think is the fault of the coins that has refused to add a website or update it. Coinmarket only list coins that has reached the minimum volume it required on an exchange . There are different entity from the coins listed there

As far as i know , Coinmarketcap is a dictionary that contains information about all types of digital money. The above statistics are updated continuously for you to follow. With Coinmarketcap you will see a wide variety of information such as: Coinmarket price fluctuations, reserves, transaction volume at intervals, rates, official website visits, or on-line activities. Assembly of coin coin ...
In addition to providing detailed metrics, Coinmarketcap does not encourage you to buy this coin or sell another coin, which only gives you a partial view of the market, making comparisons, measurements, to make the right investment strategy profitable.

I never observed any sort of issues with coinmarketcap so far which is why I don't understand what you are trying to state op. Shitcoins will always be excluded from this site. You can always google the coin that you are searching for and find out if it is being traded on any particular exchange. Coinmarketcap has always been reliable so far and I am confident that it will stay that way in the future.

Coinmarketcap looks for coins in the exchanges listed in it's directory and any coin that crosses the minimum limit for daily volume, the coin is added on coinmarketcap. People often gets confused with the price change percentage on front page of coinmarketcap, it's just a measure of change now and exact 24 hours ago.

As far as I know, they carefully check coins before placing on their own resources. So that they can be trusted.
