I checked it out, there are a lot of coins that don't even have a website,

is anyone here that is part of that websites managment?

Why is their website so badly managed, and how can a new coin get listed? is this website dead?

regards

If the coin is having significant trade volumes, then they will put it in their website. And it doesn't matter whether it is having a website or not. The last time I checked, they had listed more than 1,500 different coins and tokens, out of around 10,000 in existence right now.

CoinMarketCap is just a service that enables you to monitor coins, the problems are in the side of developers and coin's team members, they might update their informations but they wont, because they had earned alot of fiat and they doesn't have attention to do more efforts.
Sometimes, they doesn't know about these issues.

We know that lack more commitment of the site and we know of the information breakdown through some currencies, but we can not complain about full belly and solid investor is based on the charts and do not care much for fundamentalist information, unless the moment forces the search for information. However it is interesting if the coinmarket database were updated or managed by third parties.

There's nothing with that, coinmarketcap was monitored actually by third parties but what was reflected to the public was realtime. We should be able to determine supply, because that will be the basis on how the market grows evenly. People nowadays were more serious about the marketcap, but not to the point that they're mad about it.

CoinmarketCap now only lists coin with more than 100k dollars volume per day. It is a really hard criteria for new coins to enter the CMC system. On the other hand, those coins added are really hot and have a decent volume, which , to a certain extent, guarantee the legitimacy of the coin. Beware, though, that not all information on CMC is correct. I normally use CMC for a rough estimate of the price and aggregated volume, but for exact price at a time, I go directly to the individual exchanges for their chart.

As far as I know there are many coins that don’t have any website. Coinmarketcap only added those coin whose trading range is $50,000 per day. They focus only the value of the coin.

The website of coinmarketcap was not dead, actually the coins are listed in there was a legit and need some enough money to be listed on there. If they don't have maybe we cannot saw in that site or we can see only in the exchanger on where they listed the token.

what do you mean? as far as I know its not easy to be listed on coinmarketcap, if there is no website for that certain altcoin, there is no reason for that altcoin to be part of coinmarketcap. and I dont see any altcoins like what you are saying.

I think it is very hard to manage this process. How do you wanna know which coin is a scam and which not? It is really hard to say. I already see Coimarketcap delisting a lot, and I think more coins will get delisted. Have some patience guys Smiley

I do not understand your problem, this site works well and adds a lot of coins traded on exchanges, you probably just do not know how to use it properly.

This site is probably doing poorly because of the bad pay, and by the way there are many other web sites where the data is more accurate, and change every half minute.

Thats is not coinmarketcap problem, I think is the fault of the coins that has refused to add a website or update it. Coinmarket only list coins that has reached the minimum volume it required on an exchange . There are different entity from the coins listed there.

if coinmarkketcap uses its capabilities to harm users of crypto currency, then we need to look for another resource for extracting information about different coins. Who can advise what? There is still such a resource so coincodex.

Actually th websites is not a that important factor to the coinmarketcrap. They basically focuses more on the value of the coins. So,if you see any mismanaged websites then don’t come to the conclusion that the website is dead. But it will be better if all the coins are listed.

I have no idea how new coins get listed, but you can see new coins listed everyday, and old shitcoins delisted everyday as well. I don't think the website is dead, it's just like the others said, they are focusing on value.

A lot of people seem to hate it but I think it's a good site for getting an overview of a specific coin/markets. For beginners anyway, for the advanced users, there are better sites.

actually nothing wrong with coinmarketcap, it's just a lot of new coins are released and I think maybe they have a team that is not solid and inexperienced and does not have a good business partner to support the ICO, because an ICO when launched it will have a coin and a clear website, because of course investors will see their website to analyze and read the white paper and ICO roadmap before investing.
