You can't kill "everyone" with a gun either unless you restrain them and/or have the ability to deny them medical care ad infinitum. The real-world lethality of pencils, knives, and guns, is probably equal, with proper machining, in trained hands, and against defenseless targets.

i live in the worst city for guns and drugs in the uk i know a few who have been shot dead..
but if they could buy them on the street corner shop loads more would die for sure ..were i live 13 year olds shoot each other ..but believe me if they could get them on every street corner shop loads more would die..
This is why i am asking to ban them but also we need a law where if you carry a gun you get 25 years for carrying it
and you never get out for shooting someone even if you don.t kill them you never get out of jail for shooting them ..
kids get 5 years they do 2 years in jail and there free no matter how many times they get caught with a gun they do 2 years..
how many will carry guns now..not many..
at the end of the day if no one had a gun then no one would get shot..
we need as a planet to make it law that in public life if your caught with a gun you get 25 years just for carrying it and you do the full 25 years not half all of it..
sounds harsh but having no gun in your life and i mean every ones life.. no one as a gun ..then what problem will it cause to not have one..A GUN IS TO KILL..if a young kid or old person carries a gun then is intentions is to kill..
no ifs or buts.. because if someone pulls a gun on you or tries to rob you your intention is to kill with that gun to protect yourself
So with my law not many will want to carry a gun because they loose 25 years of there life.
if i lived in America i would carry a gun only because so many got one i need one
But if you asked me if my country said total ban and 25 years in jail for carrying a gun or lets make it legal to own a gun i would say ban them..
this is the only way to stop the criminals to give hefty sentences for carrying a gun ..
if no one is allowed a gun and then you carry one then you broke the law so now you go to jail for 25 years because your intention was to kill ..

Yeah, some places I have been you WOULD carry legally.  Some places you'd carry even if illegally.  Best thing to do is simply move, of course, but that's not always possible.

But do me a favor and don't talk about how nice and safe the UK is.  It may be safe where you live, but some places you wouldn't come out alive....

Regardless, I view the UK as an experiment in gun control.  That's similar to some of the USA states being experiments in gun control/legal concealed carry.   We sure don't need people arguing one-size-fits-all on this issue.

From the "experiments," 20 years or so, it's definitely looking like legal ownership and concealed carry is safer for everyone.

when people have guns they think differently THEY FEEL POWERFUL ..
plus ask people from NY CITY as there city gone better now guns are banned.. answer yes much nicer place to live now..just checked and i am talking a load of pooo ..they banned guns years ago and its still bad well there you go i was wrong

like this say i pull a gun on you and you pull a gun out and start shooting what if a random person walks past and you shoot him too and kill an innocent person.don.t you care even tho you were protecting yourself because i tried to shoot you first.

See the whole point of banning guns is not to protect you alone its to protect the masses..
plus people say you just got to do checks I.E for mental people ..anyone can turn mental..
so how do you check that ..one day i can be making loads of money have a nice house lovely wife
The next day loose my job cannot pay the mortgage my wife leaves me takes my kids with her i turn to drink go down hill..
then think ar well this is a shit life go to a corner shop by a gun walk in a shopping mall shoot loads of people and then kill myself..
so easy done and this has happened many many a time
some people shoot there whole family if they loose there jobs because they cannot stand the kids growing up poor..
There is going to be a lot more poor in the future
So more shootings fact if you make it easy to get guns more of your people will die
Its a lot easier to replace goods not so easy to replace a life

I agree, guns dont kill people. People kill people.  If there was a mass string of pencil stabbings should we ban pencils? No. I think that criminals will always have guns period. Does a criminal care about abiding by the law?

What is wrong with crying if your a man..plus use a baseball bat a nice kitchen knife keep beside your bed
Plus here in the UK not many rape your wife DNA will catch them .Does this happen a lot in America
you get robbed and then they rape your wife.
you will get some cases every so often but very rare in the uk ..I mean does this happen every day or week in america..Because if it does i am glad i live in the UK..I suppose i would carry a gun if this is the case..

Your right about criminals doing more crime ..
But also you need to give 25 years for carrying a gun..and you never get out of jail if you shoot someone never ever get out..See how many will carry guns now..You will always get some but not many tho..
See if you never had a gun in your life it wont mean anything not having one ..Its designed to kill..

It's not time to give up our rights to protect ourselves from our governments.

It's time for people to realize that if someone had a gun on that gun-free zone, they could have stopped the killer from killing more people. Criminals will still get guns and people who obey the law will be the ones in danger.

OREGON seems every so many months this sort of thing will happen.
At any time in life a human can go mental..It can happen to anyone because of all sorts of reasons.
So when someone gets the idea to kill others they can do a lot of damage with a gun

Plus if you give up your guns crime will go up..But deaths will go down..

See the constitution says you have the right to bare arms to protect yourself from a rouge government.

So if the government wanted to attack you they just blow you up with a drone
What will your gun do against a drone..

So now it all comes down to protect yourself and your belongings..
But you will find more people get killed by someone they know..nothing to do with crime as in theft.
More people shoot there family than what get robbed with a gun
SO ITS TIME TO GIVE THEM UP..
plus maybe one day your police force will not carry guns only special squads.

yes chemical one should be forbidden but natural ones should be restricted to be used in homes or places just are used for this.and it should also be forbidden to go in common places after using drugs.
