In the news of course. I remember that was in the second half of 2012, but I forgot on what website it was. A British website probably, possibly the BBC. I wish I had bought some BTC right away.

I was introduced to Bitcoin by some nerds that were mining with their home PC at the end of 2012. I didn't spend much attention to Bitcoin because I had other interests back then. They somewhat forced me to look into Bitcoin, and they showed me there is some money to be made via mining. That's when I started to get interested. Once I noticed that my home PC was not capable of mining a worthy amount of coins in a day, I got disappointed and left. For some reason I went back to Bitcoin again in the beginning of 2013, and I bought myself some coins instead of mining them. That's when it all started for me.

In my personal experience, I first heard of it 1 year ago in a online forum game, people sold gold for Bitcoins, around March, gave it no importance at first. Now im kinda utterly commited to it. Really an interest subject of study.

Exactly same thing happened with me I thought it's some online scam and ignored it but after 6 or 7 months I heard about it from my colleague and I was bit hesitant I waited and for one more month before getting involved in Bitcoin to check whether he really makes money out of it or not and he did made a good amount of money then I joined BTC and rest is history.

Last year; when I saw Bitcoin donation option on a site. Found it rather fascinating with the ability to create addresses without any form of verification and the low fees. Found this forum some time after that.

i heard about it in 2011 or 2012, whenever it was bitcoin was worth nothing and it just looked like some stupid internet thing that would never kick off. Why would you need money stored on your computer? Im not even sure what made me get into it when i did.

I heard about bitcoin in 2011 itself but did not show interest to buy it. I check bitcoin.org website in 2011 itself, but could not get any idea on mining process or any faucets idea from there. The only reason for that must be I was not aware of this wonderful forum at that time. I was too late to join this forum from that.

I heard about Bitcoin a number of years ago on YouTube, but I wasn't interested at the time. Late 2013, when the price of Bitcoin skyrocketed, was when I actually got into Bitcoin. I started mining using my computer (which wasn't a good idea) and used faucets (which wasn't a good idea either).

I heard about it while searching for a way to exchange my PSC to Paypal (or something like that) which lead me to this forum and this was on the start of 2014 however I wasn't really interested , but with time ... I found my self on videos about Bitcoin on YouTube while I was Youtubing something about Paypal then I got interested and here I'm . Grin

I heard it back in 2011 where in there was a huge hype of mining Bitcoin using GPU's and there were numerous facebook groups where they posted they rigs and also had many tutorials for other to follow or even customize their rigs in order to work better.

I heard about bitcoin talk 1 month ago from my friend , he told me about how to work in bitcoin and share some video about bitcoin talk.
