bitcoin-qt  Grin

I encrypt wallet.dat w/15 character password using qt and have many backups

Best backup is a paper backup I guess.

All hdd and usb drivers might fail Smiley paper might burn Tongue but what is more realistic? Smiley

And you could be hit by a car tomorrow, or you might die in your sleep Cheesy If your paper wallet, stored in your desk, burns then your pc and whole house will probably go with it.
Only thing you can be sure of is a brainwallet. The question is, what if you have a stroke or something and forget?

Yeah, I am pretty sure that if you get hit hard enough by the car, the brain wallet may go out the window too.   But if you happen to be unlucky enough to get run over by a car, I think your bitcoin wallet is probably the least of your worries...

There is not yet know any method that will give you 100% undestrucrable backup Smiley

Shocked that no one said Electrum O_o.

it was mentioned by Zemario

"Multibit and mycelium.

I think both are more no-non-sense as most. Although electrum seed concept is easier to manage.

But he isn't using it, only talked about it.
Hmm u are right Smiley

I would like to use it but I use Bitcoin Wallet Cheesy and for me is good enough Cheesy
And I hope guys from Electrum will keep this wallet alieve because it is good Smiley

Bitaddress.org offline for generating cold storage addresses and blockchain.info for most everthing else.  I like the simplicity of web-based applications.

I use Bitcoin-Qt as my "home wallet," but I also have a few Mycelium wallets (as in, different phones, some bought dirt cheap for the sole purpose of using with the app.)

I primarily use Mycelium for my spends, and Bitcoin-Qt for handling the bulk of my lukewarm-storage funds.

Armory & MultiBit are 2 of my mains. One for security and participation the other for simplicity (others for other reasons)

There are some cool wallets around. I use QT because we are still in beta, so it seems best to stick with the reference client. Plus running a full client helps the network.

OP Should've created a poll instead, easier to view the results Smiley

Might swtich to paper wallets plus mycelium only. It supports encrypted wallets, so I could carry around a paper with a qrcode and spend from it using mycelium."

Smiley indeed Electrum is very good wallet!!! Smiley i give it 8/10

Blockchain.info. I got hacked a while back when I used the simple bitcoin wallet. Lost about 170$ worth at today's exchange rate. Decided that blockchain was the best option as it's much more difficult for someone to steal my funds and it's a lot easier overall. If i ever seriously invest, a cold storage paper wallet via Armory is what i'll be using.

Is blockchain.info releiable for large funds too ?

I use electrum too, and I know others who does as well, but they are not likely to post on a forum like this.

bitcoin-Qt and Armory.
Since I am not a trader but hodler Armory is on offline-Laptop. When I am going to spend BTC I will buy perhaps trezor. But for the time beeing I don`t need a convenient wallet for erveryday use
