Very pleased with hitbtc performance. Okay platform for those who have already had experience in cryptocurrency trading.

I don't trade that often, actively, or trade with large amounts so the ones I've used primarily are BTC-E and Cryptsy.  Fooled around with Coinedup, but that was a buggy mess.

You can't go wrong with BTC-E or Cryptsy if you're just first starting out as a noob trader.

Kraken or Bitstamp I guess if you're going to be more active.

Hello,
New on bitcointalk, not new to BTC, registered actually for one matter but started browsing forums.

Kraken is great exchange, the only one which looks, feels and acts professional towards user. Their verification system IS verification system not a bunch of unrealistic expectations and it went really smooth up to Tier 3 (whole procces took around 30 minutes). Beside that, they have (for me, and for now) the best trading system bulid-in exchange, few types of order but i am mainly satisfied with Stop Loss/Take Profit and ability to specify how long order will be valid, this is the best exchange when You want to play a little, also the most trusted as i think.

Maybe i do sound a little like advertisement agent for them but not only I say this. Kraken has a lot of potential and with growing volume it can be much much better. The only hiccup is small LTC volume (initially i loaded my LTC there because i do not trust that much in btc-e, but it's impossible to trade this alt there - to low volume)

From the other side - i would never go into bitstamp, they KYC is grotesque Smiley

Hope it helps!

i use kraken exchange and so far it works very well. easy fiat deposit and good looking site.
gotta give kraken a try. it looks good. i liked how the page looked. if the fees are alright i might switch to it Cheesy
i use kraken and i like it. the fees are different with the volume. for more info on fees and other info check the FAQ and Fees on the website
here is the fees: https://www.kraken.com/help/fees-and-pair-info

Looks great. It has a lower fee than bitstamp especially for lower transaction volumes, and offers leveraged trading.
I may try it next time. Smiley

My main exchanges are BTCe and Bittrex, used Cryptsy back in day but I got tired of the constant delays with deposits/withdrawals.

I use btce. The exchange owners are anonymous, but my trades there went through fine.

Same here, I've been using btc-e for months and have never had an issue here with deposits or withdraws. This place is like my bourbon, it's always there and always taste good

Along with the other exchanges here, Bittrex is pretty good as well. It also depends what coins are supported on each exchange.

i wanted to use bter.com for something that i needed, and found out that the fees in this site is ridiculously high.
just wanted to share this with everyone that before choosing an exchanger after checking its eligibility and other security stuff check the fees whether its trading fee (normally 0.2%) or its withdrawal fees.

I used to trade at cryptsy but after I realized that bittrex offer slightly lower rate for btc fee withdrawal, I have sort of attached to bittrex. Transaction fee between both are more or less the same so that doesn't bother me much. Only difference is the withdrawal fee.

They are not anonymous to the people in Bulgaria.

Does anybody uses CEX.io as an exchange ? I used it long time ago for cloudmining , and trading ghs , but now they have full on exchange and trading platform . Looks pretty good to me . Thinking about verifing my account there and start using it for exchange.

I think it only supports hash trading. How do u do real trading on CEX ? Moreover, their fees are insane.

Their fee is 0.2% for any transaction, which is not insane.
Higher fees apply when, say, making a EUR deposit with a credit card – 4.5%
They are open about their fees, but you need an account there to view those.

i had a lot of fiat stuck on Bitfinex recently (due to trying to arb between BTCE and Bitfinex), glad i finally got in in the $550s this morning and moved a lot back to BTCE. best trade engine, no lag, great exchange.

BitFinex has the oddest trading, massive buys or sells and loads of dust. Not a place I could trade well. Like one or two whales and thousands of minnows.

IMHO, those massive buy and sell orders on Bitfinex are possibly made with margin trading.

You can do altcoin trades and fiat currencies trades but only a few are supported now. Smiley For fiat currencies, you will need to verify your account by providing your details.
