It good you chooses to invest in Ethereum but I will advice you to add bitcoin to your portfolio before it too late mind you soon we're going to have another halving and this current market seems to be the time to make a huge profit right before the halving. However, invest into ICOs is really risky this days if you dont know what to look out for before invest into ICOs because 90% ICOs failed this year.

if I think a good coin to be used as a short-term and long-term investment is ETH, because I'm sure the price of ETH will definitely increase and of course it will provide profit for investors, besides that I also believe ETH will take back its position from Ripple (rank 2 in coinmarketcap), so you don't need to hesitate for investing in ETH if you want to get profit for short term and long term, because ETH price will definitely increase and give you profit.

You're right about the statement you make about bitcoin to be the best coin for long and short term form of trading/investment but choosing altcoin XRP is definitely something else because ripple is a centralized coin and investing in such coin for long term is not a good idea. Besides, anyone that choose to invest in centralized coin have to watch the market price movement time to time because foul play could happen anytime.

Honestly. i am into the top 50 cryptocurrency. enough of all the rest of the altcoins. they are just copy cats. there are tons of projects yet to be discovered and worked on. developers feel like copying other projects with different names. currently it is hard to figure out long term tokens. some projects are good but honestly feed out due poor managerial plans and market manipulations.

it is not easy to make a profit on this bear market even though it uses any coins because the price has dropped. if bitcoin is used in the short term, I don't think it's good and profitable. bitcoin and ethereum are very suitable for the long term because they have high potential prices.

Yes, take safely from the TOP 100, there are almost all good, in General, even more very successful projects there,but there is one caveat, the fact that many projects are now experiencing a lack of money, due to the fact that their whole year dynamite, and the price of dumping hard built, so that can even take a good project and close,
