I think that in this case it is better not to risk and buy bitcoin or ethereum or both at once and wait until they grow up!

You can start investment with $1000 at bitcoin or altcoin, maybe better for trying at investment with altcoin because could raised price more than 100% than bitcoin, I suggest you to buy and invest at qrl coin for investing or trading.

If I were a newbie now, I would like to spend a lot of time exploring this market. Contrary to numerous appeals, now is not the best time for buying, if you are not willing to suffer losses for a long time. Professional traders and investors tend to buy not at the best price, but with the least risk. It is not always the same time.

There are many good coins in which to invest money. I would advise you to invest in those coins that are well-proven, traded on many well-known exchanges, have a great deal of capitalization, good technology and which exist for many years and are kept in the top 10-20. I would also advise not to invest a large sum, and especially not to invest a large sum in one coin and in a few coins it is better

For a beginner, you don't have any experience on how the market works so you should invest in either bitcoin or ethereum, these coins are the sure coins and they would increase when the market becomes stable. Though Bitcoin is quite expensive but ethereum is cheap now to invest in. Another option is the top 100 altcoins on CMC has potentials too. You can check them out

Really depends on what your plan with the coins you are going to buy. If you are planning on hodling it for a long time (I mean years) then I'd go for bitcoin and stable coins but If you are looking to be doing daily trades I'd go first for exchange native token. Look for a secured exchange that you like whether old or new. Check them out and If you find which exchange suits you then grab their native token, this what I would do but again your money your decision and your responsibility.

Ive never bought any coins before and am considering opening an account while the coins are low

How would you invest $1000 - 2000

Thanks

In my opinion, at least invest 50% of your capital in BTC as it's the safest crypto to invest in, 25% in top 10 cmc and the rest is in low cap crypto that has potential to be growth in the future. It would be better if you start practicing trading as it's the best option to earn profit in this long period of bearish trend but it takes time to be good at it.

My suggestion is that you can invest in altcoins that are ranked less than 100. Their market value is relatively stable and the risks are even smaller.

If I were you, I would invest 50% in Bitcoin, as this is a crypto gold. Don't miss this opportunity to get some Btc at a discounted price.

25% I would invest into crypto silver: Ethereum.  The rest of 25% I would invest in new projects after having performed a lot of research before. (If you look for a great project,  just have a look to Mycro Jobs - details in my signature)

In my opinion there is no word for beginners and advanced, all of them have the same opportunity to succeed in the crypto business, but if you are new to crypto then buying coin top ranks such as ethereum, monero, eos, waves and so on is better and safer.

In order to understand the functioning of the market, especially with a lot of investment in the hands of a portion of the amount you need to do. Making coins like hot pundix can also be a logical option.
I could agree with you on that as I have a decent number of that coins in my wallet.
HOT is doing well and I think PundiX will also perform, this coins has a high supply but they have a great potential, for now they are still undervalued.

I suggest to beginners to choose bitcoin or ETH for investment. Or you choose the top 10 coins in the VIP market list. You have to be patient with markets that have unexpected movements.

This is an initial fund that I think is big enough to invest. It's better to research and understand the sales charts. So that after you understand enough, make a decision to invest. I suggest you not only invest in one coin. Maybe it's better to invest in the top 5 coins.

Everybody here starts with the top coin and just include new coins in the market, so your best choices are Bitcoin, Ripple and Ethereum, and choose one or two good ICO in the market, this is the best time to buy because there are news bull run will come later this year.

Try to practice trading first. start with 50 dollars. Know how risk is, and how you read opportunities for profit. After that you can start trading with large capital.
