it all depends on you (both are good), in essence, investing or staking will give you a big profit if your capital is large..

Stacking is a form of investment, so your quiestion isn't correct.
STAKING in theory is part of the type of investment, but more specifically, it is very different.  which is almost similar to INVESTING is LENDING..

Quote
investment is the investment of assets or funds made by a company or individual for a certain period of time in order to obtain greater returns in the future.

Quote
staking is the act of locking cryptocurrency in a wallet to get a reward. The main idea is that participants can lock coins (stake) for a certain period of time, the protocol will randomly select all participating participants to validate the next block. Usually, the probability of being chosen as a validator will be directly proportional to the number of coins stored, the more coins that are stored, the greater the chance of being selected as a validator.

I tried my luck with staking one year ago, and the results were not good. Almost every coin which I staked went down in the next few months, and in the end I lost a part of my capital and was forced to pull out in order to limit my losses. I think it will be better to stick to the PoW coins such as Bitcoin and BCH, as their exchange rate volatility is not as high as the PoS coins.

I haven't tried staking yet because I only do invest, this is much understandable for me because of the simple rule which is the "buy-in low, sell in high", if you just follow this rule then you will earn money. It would also good if you do a long-term investment for more income.

According to research, staking is a process of participating in some transaction validation on a proof of state (Pos) blockchain, it something similar to mining that is working for the transaction completion.

Here are some good coins to be staked:

There are projects that you can stake specially when mainnet comes in. But I am not an investor so I never staked at any project. My ideal situation is to buy coins at specific moment and dispatch them all at a specified time as well. I am not a long-term hodler because I want an insta cash. Therefore, investments and staking does not fit to my strategy. But it is better to stake your coins if ever you trapped at the highest position.

Depends on the project we are talking about and also they are not mutually exclusive from each other neither, that is where you started wrong to begin with. For example you can buy a coin, stake it for a while and sell it and that would be trading as well, the only difference between regular trading you are talking about and trading this way would be staking it during the period where almost all traders just hold and wait.

So, if a project is good you could buy it and hold it and sell whenever you want to make a profit or you could buy it and stake it and make a profit and if you are done you could sell it back for more money as well. There is no right or wrong "method" of profiting with a good project, the nearly impossible part is to find a good project these days.

For it staking and investing are the same because both of them has a good opportunity to offer in you. In staking if you are good enough or you are fluently in staking for sure they can give you a big salary and for imvesting make sure if you invest in that company have a good background and make sure they can expand your money with out scamming.

I think the investment is a lot better than stacking. I personally do this. I have learned a lot about business and where to invest. So I think the investment is better and long term thing.

I agree with you, especially for beginners I would recommend investing themself. With staking you just rely on someone else while with investing you have to do all the research yourself. It's much more work but you are learning so much more than when just staking. Risk is involved in both types and you have to pay a fee for staking. The most I learned about crypto currencies was when I started investing with my own money.

With staking one get to make a passive income holding the required volume of cryptocurrency. This is an effective way of earning, but one needs to know to hold the right coin. More number of cryptocurrencies have moved to the staking process to strengthen the network.

With investment the profit expectancy is long term. If lucky even the asset over which we've made the investment could bounce much higher yielding a massive profit. We can't state anything better over the other. Everything is market dependent to the demand supply and the study on choosing the right cryptocurrency.

Many people who hold a huge amount of staking coins be able to generate an income with a sizeable amount by cash out only the interest every month.
For example, someone holds 10,000 coins of waves, with 1% interest every month he could gain 100 coins, at the current price of $3 which means $300 per month. Based on the price purchased at the time of launch, waves ROI is 125% at the moment. a quite good coin imho.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a waves holder, not even 1 coin.

Both are having quite similar volatility in my opinion, but I would choose investing instread of staking, so I could just buy coin and token that I want to hold as a long-term investment, and also I will put some percentage  of my investment for doing a Futures Trading, looking for a tiny profit for each day.

I prefer investing than staking which is not too quick to give some one a good profit compare when you are investing your coins in the right time and in the right place for quick profit making.
Investing in a particular project is a risk that you are taking but after the risk there will be a good profit out of it while staking take a long time for someone to make a good income. So I prefer investing than staking.
Its really true that staking is slow process of earning but it has guarantee that you earning something .On the other hand if you invest any project if it become scam you are loosing everything .But if you do research well before invest you can earn a lot from investing .So we need to do more research before invest or staking.
You are right that is why I think the best option if someone wants to only invest is buying and hodling bitcoins because at least that guarantees you won't lose the worth in years to come while if you invest in altcoins you are almost certain that a peak will be reached and if not cashed at that value, you might very well lose money in long term.

For staking any coin is good as long as it has some plans to keep the value of the coin maintained at leas if not rise because with staking comes a lot of dump in the market as stakers will always sell some coins when they get them and unless some development is being done within the project it is hard to maintain the coin value.

To know which is better than those of two things, then you should know both concepts. Staking and investing both is a form of investing in a project. Staking is a process of investing in a project in the POS method which means Proof of Staking methods. By this method, investors have a wallet on the desired website where they invest and need to hold the funds for a certain period then they will get a percentage for holding their assets on this wallet.

Investing is a process where anyone can invest in a token or coin or any type of cryptocurrency exists. By investing, investors seek a profit margin for investing which can be a short or long-term basis. After that investors get some profit. This is the process of investing.

Now choose one which will suit you and by which you think you will be benefited. Both are two different ways just.

You have to invest for staking. And considering the high volatility of cryptomarket, staking may not cover your losses if price drops. I wouldnt think about staking too much.

What services offer the best staking terms currently? Like bigger % and variety of assets.
I think you want to ask "which token offers the highest staking rewards?" If that's the question then actually you might want to stake CRO coins as they have a big market value on coinmarketcap and you may read more here - https://crypto.com/en/earn.html

Please note while I give this advice I am not any financial advisor and staking can be risky too so take your own call, I am just sharing information as it might help you out. As for myself, I personally stake Tron (TRX) coins and value of the coins have been pretty good which makes it the right choice for me, but if you want higher rewards you might want to visit the link I shared as they claim to be providing upto 12% staking rewards on stablecoins.

The open blockchain platform Harmony has announced that it will start supporting staking from now, in an effort to create a blockchain-based infrastructure.
source: https://www.harmony.one/
Of course, as I know, there are many exchanges that support staking.
I want to fully understand what is staking and what are the best coins and platforms that we can do staking and give good profits?

My most important question: Which is better, staking or investing?

depending on the type of coin, if the coin has an advantage and its value will increase, of course, staking is preferred, but it will be difficult because staking will continue to increase the total supply. the opposite of the rising price principle. so you have to choose wisely at least the investment would be better in my opinion if according to the coins you mention.
unfortunately some coins that provide options for staking so they are coins that have a very large supply volume, while they do not dare to give options on coins that have a very limited supply because there may be a risk of price inflation and so on.

so if that's the case then when I have a lot of capital then I prefer to invest in coins that have a very limited supply because it will give a lot of profit when prices rise as happened to bitcoin and YFI prices which have just appeared in the cryptocurrency world but already has an expensive price due to the influence of a very limited supply and the comparison is much less than bitcoin.

yes the theory you say is true, but there is an exception for yfi because most people say that defi especially YFI is a bubble, we don't know whether it's true or not.
but what is clear for now is that defi is still the underdog and still has fomo on new projects.
in the sense that new defi projects are still in demand.

My most important question: Which is better, staking or investing?

Excluding just a couple of exceptions, staking isn't a good solution since you find a lot of scam, coins with inflationary production, dime earnings (unless you invest an huge capital like with DASH).
https://www.stakingrewards.com/cryptoassets

Investing ok it sounds cool, always. But are you sure were are you putting your money?
Personally I can just "suggest" to invest in bitcoin. No other. Altcoins are like fashions. If you are going to put your money at risk with a new altcoin, without understand the market or even the complexity of these type of actions, yes you're just wasting again your money.
