someone or organisation might have some power over some portion of the market but not all. no one is having more power compare others, it is quite a fair game.

We as a community controls the market. It was our fault for what had become of Bitcoin and we should be responsible for it. I agree with you that most of the community members are just here for the money. They only care about a particular market as long as they are making money out of it. This is getting out of hand sometimes.
It is sad to hear that mate but it maybe because we are surrounded by greedy people and they only after for money without realizing what will happen next.  Crypto isn't for life time investment and we shall take the opportunity before it gone.

Most of the people don't care if a currency is decentralized or not and don't what it means too. They are just interested to make profits, no matter how. They jump on the new flower of the month, invest some cash and sit down until the flower blooms.
How it works, or what it is exactly doesn't matter to them

This is true, I would certainly agree with you on this. Most don't have to consider much whether centralized or not. What matters is what colors the coins green. If there is any chance of hitting bull run with any coin, they would certainly jump on it given that such coin would be easy to trade and would be easily available or can be converted into any coin or most especially to fiat. Money is most of the time the main reason why they would invest and therefore how it can be done and where might just be a little consideration for as long as the investors are certain that they are not in for a scam.

According to statistics, about 90% of bitcoins and other top coins are kept by whales. And I think that they have a very strong influence on the market.

Oh, no. Most people care about it, that's the reason why there are some new coins created and created, but in reality everyone knows that everything good (in this situation - decentralyzed coin, it's good) gets abused because people are very greedy or can't just shut up.
On another hand, I agree you.

Nope, the majority doesn't give a damn or is too stupid to really comprehend the notion, otherwise, you would not see Ripple or EOS being a top coin or ICO waves one after the other.
The average "investor" doesn't have a clue what all those really mean, they only care about how much people are talking about it and how much $ the "dev team" is lying promising in returns.

Be serious, look at the average poster here on bitcointalk...[ANN][ICO]HoweyCoins: the only BitcoinTalk-endorsed ICO - GUARANTEED PROFIT

I cannot but agree more with what you have said. The truth here is that people tend to look at the surface, and they are just like a light paper being blown around like wind and what most people care about today is how they want to make huge profit in a very short term and then really do not understand what is important to know in the space before even getting in and that is why like you said, you really will see people asking if they should be investing in XRP or ETH? Grin As long as the market is highly speculative, people still do not see the main reason why they should be investing in terms of usage in the long run, they just won't get it.
Market is highly speculated cause of all of us who are speculating. Fair answer on question who controls the market is all of us, the ones who have more money have a bit more control than others, especially if they created a groups and they trade together, their trades can move a market a lot. Who controls the media can control people who looks at surface, there are a lot of this people and thats we have panic selling or even panic buying, usually in wrong time and usually this people lose money. Fair answer is that each of us have some affect on market, no matter how small it is, we are all involved.

Remember, this whole thing about crypto is largely decentralized, thus, there is no single authoritative body in control of the crypto market. Although there are few centralized platforms among crypto, the market is largely influenced by the efforts and influence of the users of crypto. How well sellers and buyers treat the coins on the market affect the performance of the market.

Different with forex market, i think cryptocurrency market will depending on supply and demand. Forex market controlled by central banks but bitcoin is decentralized system and no one institution can control the supply

Bitcoin and crypto market is now very vast market and not in one country but many other countries are also focus on this and those who are not using crypto now they are controlling the whole market and those who ave large quantity of bitcoin they have influence on the market.
Which is common, whoever holds the large quantity are the one who can manipulate and influence the market, we can't tell each individuals or group who's behind this market, the only thing is we can monitor and try to study deeper in order to be more safe from our investment, knowing how things works can
let us follow the flow and make our entry more smoothly.

When you lose money in the market, it is nice to think that someone controls it. In fact, we are the blacksmiths of our own happiness.

Those big whales has the huge control over the market because here in our community the more coins you have the more you can manipulate and make the market move to any directions.

No one controls the market because it is decentralized. But big money can drive the market. These are real manipulators.
Of course whales control the market. They use big money to pump and dump the coins in their own benefit.

Supply and demand. When demand is high and the amount of bitcoin available's low then the price of bitcoin will be high as well as vice versa. The nature of bitcoin is more decentralized or not regulated by the authorities and at the same time becomes the main weakness for bitcoin itself against acts of manipulation carried out by the great pope and his allies as said by vv181.

Supply and demand should rule any markets neither decentralized nor centralized. But in this decentralized cryptocurrencies spaces, whales have a significant contribution in the market movements, I believe they aren't doing it on their own but with other whales. It makes the market manipulation with combined whales is possible.

Nobody controls the crypto market. Every participant in the market controls prices, but no entity really controls the crypto market itself. When there are more people buying than selling, the price goes up. Vice versa.
No one can control the crypto market, because of the determinants of price increases or decreases through supply and demand. This is really fair and there is no pressure from any party. That applies throughout the world, because the crypto market is global, without limits.

cryptocurrency prices at this exchange can only be controlled by buyers and sellers, only these two people can make the price of bitcoin and some cryptocurrency have price movements up and down.
between buyers and sellers i don't think anyone can control, unless there really is someone who has big funds and uses news to influence buyers or sellers to do activities together

I think, there is no one to control the crypto market, crypto market movements are determined entirely by the holders/traders who encourage supply and demand. No party can control the market. This is the beauty of decentralization. More requests, more price/exchange rates rise, as simple as that.
Yes nobody controls it even rich peopleZ because it was decentralized. Even the government cant control it. The change in value of it was depend on the supply and demand of coin in the market. Thats why it is volatile ehere ups and down on its price happen.
