Ethereum is the king of altcoins. Most if not all of projects boasting of more advanced features than ethereum have their roots in ethereum. For example, TRX, EOS, IOST and so on. They all started their journey on ETH platform.
I am still optimistic that the king of altcoin is ETHEREUM. and that has been a long time until now. In terms of price or market capitalization, many crypto fans use ethereum. Then what will be the next generation after Bitcoin and ETH ?? Thanks!

now there's no doubt that Ethereum is still the best but it's only a matter of time until another coin can get through Ethereum because I'm sure the crypto development will get better and it will give birth to many good coins.
I currently see LTC as a younger brother of BTC than a possible competitor. This Altcoin King title is currently worthy for ETH. There are some projects that can take that throne! 
There are great potential candidates to be honest! I won't name names for not shilling, but ETH's position is comfortable anyway and in the short term I do not see this coin losing its position.

It is very difficult to answer this question as every day the situation in the market changes and new top altcoins appear, so it’s impossible to single out any specific ones, so there are many factors that are evaluated by altcoins.

Definitely Ethereum is the king of all altcoins. This can be said both in terms of capitalization and in popularity of the coin among investors and traders. A very large part of the coins is traded through Ethereum.

If you look at the technology, then I don't think that Ethereum is the best. The more recent altcoins are supported with better technology and examples are Cardano and NEO. On top of that ETH is facing a lot of issues and this has resulted in delay in getting confirmations.

Actually the king of altcoin is ethereum, after bitcoin which is the king of cryptocurrency,I don't see any token over ETH soon, the prize raise as BTC go up.
Ethereum is the number one altcoin and it will remain the best altcoin. Sometimes XRP is overcoming Ethereum in market capitalisation but it is still a centralised asset and I cannot call it an altcoin, so ETH is the best.
For someone to be king, the person needs followers. The prices of so many coins follow the price of ETH and it is also the widely acceptable altcoin. So to me, ETH is definitely the overall boss among the altcoins

Who is the king of altcoin, of course ethereum, this coin has its own advantages and I believe ethereum for the future will develop better and more people will invest in ethereum
we just have to see from the point of view where we judge a king. if the benchmark is the market price, I think ethereum could be replaced because there are many altcoins that might be close to ethereum prices now. but if you look at it from a viewpoint of daily trading volume we can see it on the market. if you look at the size of the market and the community, maybe ethereum is still the best.
