There are so many candidates but the most obvious one is ETH. A year ago I thought that there is still a chance for ETH, but as I see the market now, I am sure that the majority of investors still prefer BTC to be on the top.
As what i have seen the future of market i think many years will be generating to surpass this new form of platform. As the digital market has getting popular world wide and it makes sense at all.

in my opinion cryptocurrency will be the main reference and the fiat currency will change to digital currency maybe bitcoin but I think it still needs a long process.

I have never thought that there will be another coin that will be able to replace the king of coins other than Bitcoin. but if ETH can happen, because if we look at the current ETH price, it has been surpassed by other Altcoins ... so for now I'm not sure there will be a new coin that will replace the position of Bitcoin as its king of coins
Since BTC and ETH has been in existence, many other crypt I currencies have been created but none has been able to surpass this two in terms of price and popularity. I don't think there is any cryptocurrency that will be the king except Bitcoin.
I think the only coin that will always rule the cryptocurrency is Bitcoin, because one of the reasons for Bitcoin's success is that Bitcoin is the very first coin
