I think maybe in the future the new king will be a stable coin. but there is still a possibility that bitcoin will remain the number one crypto in the future. all depends on the investor.

The crypto market today is very subject to manipulation. Therefore, I will not be surprised if one of the coins in the near future takes first place in the rating. But there is no doubt that bitcoin is a most popular coin. We have to watch the manipulations, and this makes me very upset.
No project will replace Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the most famous cryptocurrency in the world. This coin is supported by many major investors. A lot of power is spent to maintain the Bitcoin network. Bitcoin is digital gold.

I think the new king will be some in the top 10 altcoins like XRP, BCH, WAVES, LTC, and DASH. But not to quickly to be the new king because bitcoin is the real king of the crypto and bitcoin is not easy to beat. Guys, you can talk for a long time about what kind of coin and the project will be the main thing in the crypto space, I think so, as long as there is bitcoin, it will not be competitors. In only one case that bitcoin will be like gold, then there will be only be used for the extraction and retention. Then it sure can overthrow a leader, the same eth will deserve the title of the main coins. This is my personal opinion
Personally, I think that BTC is still the king of the electronic money market, and not any penny can show us the value they will rise as BTC. So I think we should not expect the new coin

I do not think that the situation can change drastically in the near future. Bitcoin will remain the king of the crypto market. This coin has the strongest support. I have no doubt that bitcoin will always be the first number.
The market condition that continues to be red until now certainly makes a lot of coins die, this is what makes the top 10 position so strong that it becomes the choice of investors, and Ripple is the strongest candidate to become a new king.
I don't know if it's going to be a new king but there is one new coin now that they call Virie which seems to be catching a lot of attention lately. Heard that it's unique because it's not another financial instrument that has a market but it's a market itself with a very user friendly payment system apparently. That means there is no need for a third party broker anymore.
Bitcoin is the first because it first appeared and it is believed by large investors, funds, they are paid in different countries and so on.Don't know what should happen in the market to topple bitcoin.
Of course Ethereum is a good coin that has a great future , but I think that bitcoin will always lead because it was the first and it can not be affected
Time will tell but what am certain of is that Bitcoin will be in the first position forever. A time is coming when better platform with more innovations and flexibility will take the center stage in the industry.
I think that new pair can be some stable coin like Neluns or another. This project already closed their ICO and trey raised a huge sume, above 128 mln $. The market will change during time. And we will see a new king.
