Bitcoin will still be the king since ripple has too many amount of supply and due to it, it won't get such a demand higher than bitcoin. But if ripple reach $1 then it would surpass bitcoin but the time ripple reaches that value, the bitcoin will also increase. Why it will increase? Since people want a decentralized coin and they won't let the ripple be on the top. The reason why we are interested on bitcoin due to its feature that is decentralized. If we let a centralized coin rule the marketcap then I think it would be looking bad.
I still see that bitcoin will still be king, but competition between xrp and eth is very interesting to follow, I think xrp has a very strong chance to strengthen its position as the second best
I am sure that ETH has all chances for the becoming a king in the future but to be honest BTC will not give a chance for it at all. This cryptocurrency is too strong to lose for the alt coin in the some way. I believe that something will replace BTC here and unfortunately it will not be done in the nearest time.
Bitcoin for the mother coin in all the cryptocurrencies, this is the most valuable in the all the crypto, I don't think any altcoins can replace it, even the ETH or XRP all in the top ranking in the coinmarketcap, but no one can replace it in the future.
I think that Bitcoin will remain the most famous cryptocurrency. He is slowly becoming digital gold. Over time, very large financial companies will start to invest in it (this is already starting to happen).
It is pretty hard to say, but it would definitely be an altcoin, because bitcoin is too old for this market and it should not be on the top of crypto space. LTC, BCH, ETH and other altcoins have a huge potential of leading the industry further.

I agree. Bitcoin is kind of untouchable, like history. But I can totally see competition going on between top altcoins. I wonder who will be the last coin standing after this bear market.
If you look at the market now, only Ripple has a chance for this, but this is not due to the fact that it is a cool cryptocurrency, but to the fact that it is not a crypto currency at all and it practically does not react to the fall of the entire crypto sphere.
Ethereum will be the new king and I think there are no other competitors. Only Ethereum has reached the bar of such a bright adoption among the community and every ICO is collecting funds in Ethereum. So I hope it would happen in the nearest future.

BTC-ETH can be record-breakingly good on the portfolio, anyone having them is in a safe boat. ETH is already sky-rocketing with its great technology.
I think that nothing terrible will happen to BTC, because it is an obvious manipulation, because cryptocurrency today can be used in a small number of places, but I think that soon there will be a more global application.
I firmly believe that BTC will always be at the forefront of the crypto market. It is because of its growing potential that it has become a trend for major investors in the world to invest. It creates high reliability for customers. The BTC always creates great job opportunities and challenges for people to earn extra income for themselves. BTC is always the king of crypto market.
If you think that there will be a new king then maybe you don't know that the real king is bitcoin and there's no other king of crypto currency but bitcoin only because all the other crypto currencies out there really depends on bitcoins market value so every time bitcoins market value change their market also changes.

I think bitcoin and ethereum will remain on the top even there will come a new great projects in the future because a lot of people are believing that both of them has more potential to be used by everyone in the world, and even the price of both of it are decreasing we all believe that it will recover soon.
The new king will be the easiest and safest to use cryptocurrency. It'll integrate easily into markets and solve real problems for real people and businesses.

All coins have the potential to become new kings, but I still think that Bitcoin will survive as a king of coins for a very long time. Now many coins have decreased in price and this has caused many people to experience panic about the future of crypto. But we don't need to worry because I am sure that the price of the coin will recover.

I sometimes think that one day BTC will be replaced. but it takes a long process. and that does not mean the BTC will disappear, only not the number 1 again. Because technology is increasingly developing. and that innovation is not owned by BTC
