We need to wait patiently if we want to earn more.Next time around I will not sell my coins so soon. I will wait until the price is high.
Because I can't guarantee that holding them will bring me more benefits, on the contrary, it may bring me more losses. I wait a while, it does not meet my expectations, then I will choose to sell as soon as possible to make myself at ease.
There are many reasons, but the main thing for me is that the altcoin has lost its value, or demand has fallen or it has reached the maximum price in the market. And it's better to be safe and sell now, than to regret later, that did not sell.
In my opinion, when the tokens fell in price to several cents, there is no longer any point in selling them, it is better to disappear or maybe eventually grow in price
One thing I consider in selling altcoins too soon is my dire needs for living. I did it when I got financial needs for the daily sustenance of the family. Sometimes, I sold them when I need to pay our electric and water bills. My earnings here helped me a lot. However, selling them at a value higher than my investment because that is my reason for joining here, income or earnings. In cases where I don't need the money, I sell them to buy tokens to have additional investment.
If you arrive ICO world with the community selling tokens so soon, then, that is what we mostly follow because if most them are selling the tokens, there is no reason for us to stay. People would rather have a small amount that to hold and wait for nothing, people takes the opportunity while the tokens have greater value. But that doesn't mean we need to follow, what if that certain tokens will go to the moon? My strategy is, sell 80%- 90% and leave the rest just at least if it will pump, I still have something from it.
I think personally, We tend to sell for immediate and focus on the activity of cents or sub dollars. And I also I usually do not throw away my altcoin except the coins I know it would be useless if I did not throw it away while I was still. Nevertheless, I keep altcoins with good prospects to improve in the future.

Now that one really has me confused. To me it's way to early to be selling your altcoins. It's like selling an original painting before it even gains in value or while it is still gaining in value. What smart investor does that unless they are selling out of fear or because they are desperate. For me I am holding all of my coins for now because it is way to early to even think about selling your altcoins; what say you?

for me there's nothing wrong, it's their decision and actually i agree with the fact that people choose to convet their alt coins with BTC since it is a better investment and more profit could be gained out of it. But i also get your point that if you really have a good coin you should hold it since it could prove to even have a better profit than going with BTC. So tell me, why are you selling your altscoins so soon?
Mostly they are afraid that the price will be drop again and some again maybe because they are need money especially for people which doing bounty and sell their token.
Sometimes in a difficult situation I feel that I am in need of money right now. so I sold some of my coins as soon as possible. I've tried to ask my closest people but they can not lend me the money. Better i use what i got from my results so far.

, most of people not trust about the project and they afraid loss fund. someone just satisfied with small profit so they sell quickly. altcoin have no long history so most people afraid to invest on it.

If you think that you are already earning a huge amount profit from the coins that you are holding then it was decent enough to sell it in the market because in this way you are going to make capital to invest on other coins.
maybe everyone who sell they altcoin its not patient on hold and wait. so they sell it afraid the market crash. but i think the market stable and going up now. or maybe they need a money.
Basically, people sell their altcoin based on fear and other factors thsat might pose a risk to investors fund. Other reason could be that people need money to settle some urgent need and the available fund at that moment could just be fund in their Altcoin portfolio!
Because they may eventually deteriorate, and if you translate them into an etherium, this is, in my opinion, better investment!
For the altcoins that the platform/ ICOs still in developing phase, and i know that ICOs will bring better future ahead. I always kept them, but for the ICOs that i don't think it will become big or can't being impact in this world in near future, i just sell them for much better altcoin like mother of altcoin, ETH.
Especially tokens with airdrop.

Many altcoins can not develop confidently for years. Another drawback is that they are addicted to bitcoin, and very much. It makes at the slightest apprehension - gets rid of coins.
