You have the impression that there aren't enough women on bitcoin because you don't search in the right place!

Do a fast search on twitter with #bitcoin #ico #blockchain and so on, and you will discover how many wonderful girls are interested in cryptocurrencies...

Just one little example:

Enjoy!

Check out Blythe Masters and Tiffany Hayden.

Just saying that in particular, Hayden is pretty strong in her ripple knowledge and is really active on Twitter. She is obviously an XRP holder and can appear shill-ish at times but she really knows her stuff.

Masters was a former Wall Street big shot who is running an Etherium based blockchain project if memory serves. It’s based out of Brooklyn.

No, he said women in bitcoin.  I’ve met both of them and those two are both men.

I am starting to think if this thread would leak to mainstream press I would well imagine a huge polemics about Bitcoin being a sexist environment discriminating women, is spite of the fact that the absence of any authority in this community makes it completely free for people of whatever sex to be part of the community or not - and nevertheless women are close to absent here. My guess is that the Western society now is not really able to handle the implications of this fact.

The majority of women may not be too interested in technology products. As graphics and clusters develop in clusters like mobile processors, running speed and how to use the app will make more sense. Of course the concept of female coins is not inclined to understand it. They are more perceptual with these abstract things or maybe just more interested men.  Cool

There are too many men here. Only women should be allowed to post in this thread. I’ve never met a man that really understood why women do anything.

Men are one dimensional creatures, similar to parasites, that only live to eat and reproduce. Women are civilized human beings.

Nice way of putting it, lol.

But yeah, I agree with you, I'd like to hear the female perspective on this issue.  It's a big problem if women do not adopt Bitcoin as it goes mainstream.

Of course, the women posting here are among those that have adopted Bitcoin, but their perspective on their female peers would be insightful.

Best,
Ben

You’re right, women do have a unique perspective and it would add to the conversation but people have to understand also that women are prey for men. Revealing yourself as a woman can be troublesome on some forums and even dangerous. If men didn’t act like fools then outing yourself wouldn’t be a big deal, but look at some of the responses in this thread. Some of these fools may as well tell the world that they think women are stupid vending machines that sandwiches come from.

because women prefer spending and spending money not hard to work and earn money, the internet for women just as entertainment so they pay less attention to the economic development especially in the field of digital money such as bitcoin and others

Internet is entertainment right because most dating sites have more men than women.

Cam sites and porn sites are filled with MEN. Seriously?

According to me, because Women are many other jobs that are very time-consuming, especially if the woman is married, and to my knowledge many men are very interested in the digital world / online and from the man can spend a very long time and for several months ahead I'm sure women will increasingly be interested in the crypto world, for example me.

I think women are more active in their household work than online work. They find it boring . only few women are intereseted in bitcoin . men's are more active in online work. Women have more work in household and in office . they prefer office work than online work. But now a days women's are also showing interest in bitcoin sites.

More active in "household work?" Seriously? Well if you're getting women pregnant typically they will usually end up raising the children thus keeping them at home. Again different countries and different standards.

If you're a woman without children and without someone poking you with small fleshy objects you'll be able to focus on other things.
Maybe that is the point that women can never join bitcoin because they have many work in their life, but in my thought it will very good that women can join bitcoin because it will very helpful for them and that's why they will earn much more money for them self.

I'm a woman and I've been in BTC since 2010 and most MEN LAUGHED when I told them about it saying "oooh that's nothing you just don't know anything". Guess they're feeling like dumbasses this year.

Women are here to tell their husbands not to invest. "It's to risky". Plus it's all part of the patriarchy's conspiracy to undermine women's rights and make sure they get paid less.

Why would a woman need to tell her husband anything? You do know there are women that are single and don't need the permission of a man to use her own money to buy btc or even altcoins. Again different countries and different standards of freedom for women that aren't within those countries.

Ohh and please you know how many men invested in BITCONNECT? Was it less of a burn because they have a third leg? I think not.

Take a look around the crypto community, both in meatspace and online, and it would be fair to say that the majority of participants are male. This is borne out in a recent survey of 2,000 Americans which shed light on the makeup of the bitcoin space, highlighting a stark gender divide. In fact Google Analytics data estimates less than 4% of bitcoin users to be female. The question is, why?

Source: https://news.bitcoin.com/why-arent-there-more-women-in-bitcoin/?utm_source=Why
I dont think if women interesting in this kind of work. because we know that only few used bitcoin as you say there are only 4% of bitcoin users in the world that female. i think because it is in online and they think it scam or just bored and we know that men was more got interesting in one thing if we have gain in it and we know that women was do shopping in one things before it they got interested. we male was more on the online and as an male i fond in this kind of work that female think it is boring.

Incorrect. I think care givers to children which tends to be primarily "woman" focused makes looking into other avenues of interest seem as less important. Small human (mammals) are the most dependent of any other species of mammal so women that bring life into the world are typically focused on that long term task. Men on the other hand are far more disconnected from this physically intensive setting so they're able to focus their interests on other pursuits. How man women are sitting on porn sites in the middle of a 4-9 month pregnancy? You'll be hard pressed to find a bunch of women raising their hands saying "I was" . How many men are sitting on a porn site waiting for their newborn to be born? You'll find that number to be rather high. The sexes will have different focuses based on their current life situation and also other factors like "expected" interests.

I find that there are a decent amount of women in bitcoin, but often I feel many are raised to be attracted to things that provide familiarity and comfort. Bitcoin unless they accidentally early invested usually does not provide those things. It is a newer technology. until recently it wasn't the easiest thing to spend. It does not translate into a nice lifestyle in the same way regular fiat money does without technical knowledge. Many authority figures in their lives call Bitcoin a bubble and scam anyway. The list of reasons could go on to even involve the dating sphere and things like that.

I am also very surprised to realize the marked absence of women in this area. However, this is not exclusive to the bitcoin ecosystem. Over the years I have been involved in multiple financial affairs or technology issues and in most of them the woman is practically absent. I do not think that this is about discrimination, but rather it seems that women have other vocational preferences, since in my country the nursing or psychology schools are filled mostly by women.

Maybe the business is always filled with man and because of that, the statistics is saying that there are more man that's related to cyrptocurrency. Cryptocurrency was mined through block chain and most of the programmers are man so most likely the statistics is true that more man are on the filed of cryptocurrency.

Women are mostly in to things like fashion and looks so it is pretty rare to see them in forums making the population of men greater than women. Technically speaking, girls have the inner vibe to
have interest in their appearance rather than spending their hefty amount of time in doing forum chats and comments. I also think that most women are into apps like instagram and twitter, they are a bit simple and just want to have a space in social media by having their images and daily thoughts recorded. But men are different, most men are addicted to games and games leads to spending, so if spending is present men are more likely to be influenced by getting bitcoin. These explains the ratio of men and women in the world of bitcoin.

As George Bernard Shaw wrote:
"A reasonable person adapts to the world; unreasonable - persistently tries to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, progress always depends on unreasonable people. "
The search, motivation and development of those unreasonable people on whom any progress depends is the only way to bring the future closer.
Crypto-currencies and lock-ups are a young area with a lot of uncertainties. These uncertainties give rise to a large number of possibilities, but also endless disagreements. The woman's thinking activity is different from the male. A woman always seeks the golden mean, a man - achieves the goal, especially if it concerns technical innovations.
