I've been one of those people, the people that buy at the high points of crypto and then sell low, losing my money and then later on losing out on a good amount of profits which I could've made. I'd like to know some of the reasons that people do this, besides doing it to cut their losses as that one is my reason.

Thanks guys!

It is not like you have done it on purpose.
You bought during high price because you thought if You would buy at a moment, it will go higher than it is currently handing. And selling low is like panic selling and it is a long chain that drags other users with you so as an advice try to avoid panic selling. The mentality of a person will always be affected by anything and as for bitcoin it can depress you anytime.

There may be some people who do not understand about tranding and those who sell at this low price may be panicked in making sales, they are afraid of losses when the coin will rise again even though now down again you are quite patient and the coin will rise back again and you can get back your profit Back, my message do not panic in doing coin sales.

Panic is the reason behind buy high and sell low,you need to control your emotions and keep patience while the price is falling and it is the good time to buy because if we want to make profits buy low and sell high is the formula.

when the need to overcome the desire,
then it pushes it into factors and emotions that move together in market sentiment.
only high desires will help them to looking for the alternative way to cope with the need if they are a wise investor,

The wrong concept of investment is a major factor when they ignore the old principles.
the money invested must be the money forever rested from,
to daily use for a long period of time,
they should not invest with savings or take from monthly budget
because this would make them sell their digital assets at a loss to cover their contingencies budget,

I do not see panic as an issue here,
but more to the lack of knowledge and experience
making them ignore principles and structures investment trend that fit their own finances.
"hold" does not mean holding up until the price rises,
but in the concept of expansion of investment size,
hold is a mean leads to the term retaining the original source and selling the ancillary resources at competitive prices,
for the purpose to give advantage on your digital daily currency (original source)

I have also many coins when they were all time high but never traded them at low till now, after all its my money and I will never think it of wasting by buying high and selling low. But many people fall under this trap and its generally when people give up their hope on a particular coin. I believe every coin have their lucky day once in a while and one should wait for that unless you are in urgent need of money don't sell at your own loss.

If you are one of them among like buying at high price and selling at low and facing the loss and missing out the profits then are you definitely a panic trader. Panic is one of the emotional character which ruins a ability of a good trader. You are overthinking and worried about the amount you invested and selling you coins to prevent great loss which you think its smart but its such a great mistake who do this without much experience and analysis.

Just wonder why most of us defend ourselves with the "sell now to cut your losses" pickup line when we all know this is nothing more than panic selling, and as far as the buy high and sell low habit still exists I think FuDsters are to blame for such as its one of their tricks to get cheap coins.

You are one of those who do panic selling and panic buying...

People do this simply because they are hoping for the price to go higher than it was. You should never do that. You should buy at low price and sell at a high price what you are doing is wrong.

I can say that is some Strategy for some rich investor who buys alot of Coins even they are in high price then they will Dump so that many Panic sellers will
Sell their Tokens at a Low price.
then the Rich who's the one that started selling hes Coins on a low price.
will going to buy all the Dumped Price  until he can Hold a huge Percentage of Circulation where he can
Sell it on high Price Someday.
it is only from my Observation .

Why do you even do this at all, When you buy high, never sell and continue to hold even when the value is plummeting and remember you haven't made a loss until you sell the bitcoins that you initially bought, so the next time you buy, be firm and resolute.

Maybe you are buying coins at the hype and uptrend, try to research more on those sleeping coins and hold them for a while.
People are losing money because they are riding the hype of the market and fud in social media, Most people who are really successful in trading are those ones who bought coins on their stable trend and wait for the right time to earn.

It is common for beginners who are just starting trading, the lack of experience and knowledge in this business makes them panic to sell because they think sales will reduce the losses they will experience. Actually if they are experienced and know that this sort of thing is common in crypto trading, I think they will also realize that this is only temporary and they will surely hold it. or some who sell in a state of loss are people who rely too bitcoin as a source of income, and when they are in need of money, then they are forced to sell, even in a state of loss.

As a person who always says 'buy low sell high,' I tend to buy high and sell low. Why? Because I'm always under FOMO.
Fear of Missing out. Don't be like me! Don't be a panic seller! If there's something I understood so far, you are not missing anything.
Prices are going back and opportunities are coming to you every single day, time is the biggest enemy in this business.
Do not fall under pressure, patience is the key. That's why so many day traders lose so much, everybody hates patience but it's the only way to make a real stable profit.

Your problem is that you bought coins at a bad time. You didn't have to sell your coins. You should have waited. The price is sure to recover. But if you want to try your hand at trading on the stock exchange then you should always be ready for such things. You need to be able to quickly fix the loss and restore their positions on the next wave.

Many times, people that are unfamiliar with Bitcoin will hear about it on the news while it is reaching new highs. Of course we know that when an investment is at an all time high, it’s probably not the best time to buy, but for someone who hasn’t seen the price when it was low, they just want to jump on the bandwagon before it’s too late. Then a crash happens after the all time high and they already invested.

I have to admit this happened to me at the end of 2013. However, instead of selling after the crash, I kept buying to dollar  cost average my buys.

Some people will not have patience levels that’s why they will buy bitcoin for higher value and when the price getting low they will panic and sell their bitcoin for very low amount it’s gives them only loss so make a patience is the better way to earn more.

One of my friend acting like that , he always buy at high and sell at low when i asked him why he do that ? He tell me that he is noob and all noobs acting like that . LOL .But sometimes he is earning a lot . But this method like casino , do not known when u win or loose.
Your friend maybe crazy but I think he's not showing all of his assets to you. Maybe hes a millionarie already.

Cutting yoir loss is also an option specially this time arround because of market decline. Many people do this and buy other coin that are more dump and have potential to make up with their loss.

Emotions. Thats what it is. Its just pure emotional decision making. They panic and dont think and would rather take the loss than be able to bear the pain .
Yes probably with mixed emotions, an overwhelming of fear of anxiety no self control. That is the time you can't think straight and you sell and burn all your profits and much worst even your capital. We should aim away from failure's and forget about how the market's movement just hold and sell on the right time. Sometimes we are very much greedy for money and we don't think what would happen next. We should be ready on what painful it goes that's traders life.

Usually people do this when rates are continually going down and they panic. I follow a key principle taught to us by a professor of mine, its that even if the market drops you technically haven't lost anything until you sell. This principle may not always be applicable (ie. if a person or a corporation has a shit load invested in a stock that's obviously gonna crash they have to sell in the hopes of not losing all of their investment)
