I'm not sure if I got your point clearly. Investing in bitcoin is a risk because of the way the price fluctuates. Supposing you were among those who bought at $1000 then the price suddenly dropped to $200? Is that what you call protecting the value of money? And your misconception about banks makes me laugh. How can banks prevent you from accessing your own money? Even time deposits can be withdrawn anytime (with a certain fee, of course).
