I don't think it is expensive. Bitcoin is only 21 million, so the price of bitcoin is now very cheap. Bitcoin will be more expensive in the future.
Most people know crypto because bitcoin is born long ago, is known around the world, and altcoin was born after the impact of bitcoin. Altcoin has to depend on bitcoin and the total supply of bitcoin is quite scarce, so the price is high.

Bitcoin has been in existence for a long time, years. The first and the base of all other altcoins. The market demand for bitcoin increases the value and its most stable than others. When you think of investment, start from there.

there are a number of reasons why bitcoin becomes an expensive coin, among which is because many people are interested in BTC, other than that in every exchange to buy altcoins most use BTC, in the ICO project too. Mostly because people believe it is further price growth...The just want profits and they are ready to buy BTC for big money...remember last winter.

It's all about supply and demand economy. If supply is low and demand is high, this means that the price of an entity will rise.
