Maybe some investors are still afraid to join this investment because they can still see the market movement is cannot be trusted and become more unpredictable like this current red performance in which looks like will never end. The quality of advertisement is a game changer for most ICO projects. They need to be relevant in the industry to catch the interest of the potential investors. You already answered your self about the question above. ICOs are difficult to attract investors because they are afraid of scams and failed projects. We cannot blame them since it was the fact and too many investors experienced big losses. I think we have no choices, only bullrun that can make investors come back. Or there is a certain regulation that can guarantee them to avoid losses.
Bullrun will bring back those who are waiting for the best time to earn more than the investors. But I am not against it either. If Bullrun will come, the rest does not matter.

Buy and large, investors still fall for some scams project before realizes they are on the wrong part. Investor's still invest on daily basis either ICO or IEO depend on the potentials or prospect in the project. Am also an investor who lobe to invest on new projects and, I do due diligence on the project I want to invest into. Research before invest is the only solution to avert be scam by these frivolous projects out there.

imagine when all projects have developments such as bittorent, and harmony, it will make investors more interested in investing. so, I think investors will be more interested if the project really is of high quality.

I believe investor can protect their investment by checking the market trends, visit trusted site you will find project analysis and its rating. These step surely to be adopt by investor unless crypto-market find a better way to get rid of scammers.

I think it looks like an alternative way for investors to have an interest in investing in projects again. And with the rise of the IEO, investors are reliving their investment again as they see that the token is ready to exchange immediately, which in turn is due to IEO also increasing ICO credibility although There are still many ICO scams.
