Fraud through ICO is very easy, and has no legal entities. Therefore many people who are not responsible take advantage of this opportunity for personal gain. For this reason, now many exchanges open IEO with the aim "To Avoid Scam Projects". Although there is no guarantee, but at least IEO can reduce the existing risk. But if scam projects continue to born, ICO & IEO may have to be regulated and obliged to have legal entities to protect investor funds
Investors are in no hurry to invest in projects, because they have lost faith in them. But on the other hand, it taught them to be more careful and cautious when choosing a project. Especially now, because the number of fraudulent and unpromising projects is now very high.

Everything in my opinion is down to the fact that there are way too many scammers lurking around to defraud unsuspecting investing public. The moment these are chased away or at least reduced the confidence that people once had in this ecosystem will be back
Everyone has lost, scam projects abounds now investors are tired of losing money. Most projects lack utility, clear roadmap, unqualified team members and so on. Investors need more than a whitepaper to convince them to invest.
There are still quite a lot of investors on the market, just investment positions have become much less.

I don't know if you guys noticed this, i belief many investors have leave crypto since ICO disappointed many of them, we don't have many investors like we used to when ICO was good in 2017 and now that IEO is even safer i am still not satisfied with the results yet, investors needs assurances and there is no such thing in crypto world

but why will they leave just beacause of ico ? what about cryptocurrency ? cryptos can also act as a form of investment and they wont be disapointed with cryptos as long as they will understand that its unstable but atleast it wont scam them as soon as they will only invest on well known coins . also ,not all ico are disapointing . they shouldnt put the blame on other projects and besides there are now ieo's that can also be used as an alternative for a while .

All developers who knows what they are doing will move away from ICO fund raising, they are worst now and nobody wants to invest on them anymore, IEO is the only solution that stands between fake projects and investors now, it works if you actually and in time scam will get lessen
Investors have been fooled for too long and now they do have to be smart in determining their investments. whether it's a new project. IEO or other Altcoin. now they don't want to be easily fooled. I represent many people who feel aggrieved very careful even no longer has confidence in the investment of new projects due to so many scams
Many investors got scammed in 2018 during the era of ICOs when the market was bearish and this has made many of them to learn their lessons. Some have opted out and decided not to join any form of crypto investment again. The remaining ones have learned great lessons and now perform extensive research into the project before joining. Hence, it will take extra work from the project to prove themselves worthy before attracting investors.

Yes that's the reason why it has become hard to convince people for investing in crypto as they have to face alot of issues here but I must appreciate that now in crypto problems have become vanished and people got opportunity to invest fairly as little research can help us to get that site and i think people also should try already to gain from crypto investment.for now, we've all helped each other by showing good projects, and popular IEO. other than that some people are always looking for deficiencies that a project has in fact, if we pay close attention, the risk of getting a scam will be very small.
What you write in this thread is true, there were many peoples come to crypto sphere and investing their money on crypto project ICO.
If only there were no scam ICOS, peoples would not leaving cryptocurrency and keep investing their money.

In 2018, the number of scam ICO's increases and because of these investors are now afraid to invest in the ICO's. This is because they don't want to throw their money into a project that will become a scam project in the future.
This is why it instead of investing in ICO's, it is better right now to just buy it on an exchange if you believe that the project will be huge in the future.

There were scam project in 2017 but only that the market was at its peak, lots of project give good returns so the scam project were not very obvious because the market was booming,
2018 was the period of great bearish period and this reveal the true colors of most project, it was easy for people to fakeness of the majority project,
2019 is mostly base on taking precautions base on the experience of both 2017-2018, now investors are more careful to select the kind of project to invest on, only project with purpose, with service to offer that will triumph this time.
Many investors need a money back guarantee with augmentation. Each investor wants to make money on this and they really do not like to lose their money. At the moment there are very few strong projects that you can believe in.
Basically, what an investor is looking is the assurance that they can have in return for their investment. Most of the times, even assurance isn't there replaced by the negative reputation by previous projects in the market that leaves a bad image. If I am in their position, I'll seek for better and improved investment platform that will give me more ROI.
Its the same reason, scam. This is one of the main reasons why its hard to attract investors because it isn't a current thing. This has been there from time immemorial. Probably, these investors have been cheated in one or two.projects they participated and are now cautious of the upcoming projects.
There is no doubt that the market is now full of scams. Due to the fame and hype digital currencies have gained with time, scammers got a new way to fool innocent investors. This is the whole reason why I always suggest to stick with the old projects and coins. Moreover, what's the use of wasting time on new tokens and stuff when they do not have same potential as bitcoin and good altcoins. who is the person who wants to make a mistake a second time ??

Making too many mistakes is not the issue here, the issue is if we didn't learn anything about it, maybe we fucked up those past ICOs that we've joined last year or last month, but it is because we've missed something, even a little mistake could be a huge one if will not noticed right away, we have to review our past to have a fresh start on investing or hunting bounties on ICOs or even IEO.
