People are still buying Bitcoin because Bitcoin is really valuable and will increase value in the future. Bitcoin is very popular in commercial transactions in many countries around the world and is widely accepted by many users. In the future, the Cryptocurrency market with Bitcoin is the dominant currency that will dominate the world's trading market. There are many positive reasons and benefits that Bitcoin can bring to Bitcoin collectors and investors. They chose Bitcoin as such.
Bitcoin is known worldwide than of altcoins, if your are new in crypto world definitely you have to invest with bitcoin at first and then make some discoveries into other coins. We know already bitcoin have a good market trend and a huge gaining coin that's makes people encourage to invest in here.
Well, I think you should gain more knowledge about BTC. What are doing here if you thought that BTC is useless! Grow up, pal!
People are still buying for different reasons. One of the reason is that they want to have simple and easy money hoping on a growth!
People are still buying bitcoin certainly have a strong reason and I'm sure the prospect and future bitcoin still promising so to rise to 10x from the current price then the chances are still great.

Things crash from time to time, it doesnt mean they are dead.
And besides that profit isn't the main focus for most of the old dogs of bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the answer to poverty ,thats why more and more people are buying bitcoin to make thier lives change. But the question is , is bitcoin still profitable in the future, why the price fastly decreasing?
It is actually answer to many things which helps the people in different ways. Some use it for business purpose, some use if for investment, some for trading, gambling, transferring money across globe etc. Each person has their own use to it and thus it is buy at every point of time.

Bitcoin still uses by most of people because of the benefits they might get when they are engage on it. Bitcoins value is volatile, it may increase or decrease. Once the value increase you will get the benefit which is totally high. And bitcoin is proven and tested by most of successful people. It changes life and that is what people want. They see good reasons to stick with it and most of them are thinking long term.

People still buy bitcoin because it has a low price the market right now that they can really make a big profit if it will increase it's price before this year ended. That's why I also my invest some money to make a big profit like them just keep trusting to bitcoin to make your investments grow bigger this year.

To me, it seems pretty strange that people actually continues buying btc now...
I understood why they wanted to invest in btc before, after the Chyprus crisis, and all the articles in the media. But now?
I don't get it.
Bitcoin is useless, and will most likely never be used as a currency. I spent hours trying to get my first bitcoins (satoshi actually), and after working for ages, I only got 0.002 btc, which does not even allow me to proceed to a transaction (the fees are higherthan that amount
). When you compare it with CC or paypal, it seems that they are free to use in comparison! Not to mention the time required to actually proceed to a transaction which can be anything between 1 minute and ... 1 year (or more?).
The only possible reason I see people are buying btc is that they (truly) believe that the price will increase, and want to make more profit. I think that 99.99 % of the bitcoins exchanged are never withdrawn from the exchangers, and the people are only waiting to make some profits. What makes them believe that the price will rise? Because the amount of bitcoins is limited? Because lost coins can never be recovered? I have no clue.
An other problem is the "mining" part. Soon, the difficulty will increase, CPU and GPU mining will be useless. People will stop mining bitcoins and try LTC or something easy to get... The interest in btc will decrease.
Other issues:
- security. Not a single company was able to provide a "professional" service. Bitcoin-24 has a serious problem ( https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-24com-matching-engine-seems-broken-site-down-174600 ). Even mtgox was critized for the lags, problems with missing coins, money, delay, and so on ... The hacks are countless (you can see new topics about that every day ...).
I can't see anything positive about btc, and still can't get why people are buying it. Can any captain obvious explains? Thanks.

Bitcoin is like a King to others crypto currencies because before you buy any token you must have btc or ethereum in your wallet for exchange to the token. Secondly bitcoin will always appreciate for profit making.

They bought bitcoin for a chance to have great profits. But sad to say bitcoin has decreased and dipped the market too much and maybe you'll get nothing I mean maybe your money will gone.
Investing in bitcoin is too risky but putting your money in the banks will not give you the opportunity to change your life and becoming rich someday. Yeah that's why people are still buying bitcoin for their future in hopes that they will get what they wanted to. Although it's not that easy but giving the time and efforts you will become knowledgeable in this technology and you can use that knowledge to invest with a little risk as you already know how to deal or adjust in every situation of the market trends. People are attracting to bitcoin potential and they see a bright future thats a reason theres a huge demand to bitcoin even the price continue to falling down. Like what other said bitcoin are the key to success but you need to be hardworking if you want to achieve your dream.

It doesn't depend on one leadership figure like Litecoin oder Bitcoin Cash. The tech might suck, yes, but its functioning, unlike some other Top 10 coins at the moment. Plus it will always have the first mover advantage. All this provides security to crypto investors. I see Bitcoin as a sort of digital gold.

I guess they are still know that bitcoin buying as of today is more profitable than any type of cryptocurrency out there in markets. Today's value is not that good but for sure in the near future the value will rise again and no one can stop it 
so keep buying.
The real reason is not like that. They are buying bitcoin because they know that is the main currency for the market of the cryptocurrencies and when they have bitcoin then they can buy any type of cryptocurrency that they wanted to buy in the market so it is not like having ethereum that you are limited to the tokens or coins that you can buy. so keep buying.
First of all, this currency is in the first place among the crypto currencies. People who are interested in buying a crypt will of course look at the top currencies crypt.

People are buying BTC because of FOMO, because of shills. But if you are a technical trader. You will understand that Bitcoin will need to tap 3k before it can beat its previous $20k all time high. That is the cycle.
I guess they are still know that bitcoin buying as of today is more profitable than any type of cryptocurrency out there in markets. Today's value is not that good but for sure in the near future the value will rise again and no one can stop it so keep buying.
