Bitcoin has been around for much longer than most people who know about bitcoin know of. When I first discovered what bitcoin was, it was because I was learning about Tor and Dark Web and saw that bitcoin was pretty much the only option of a payment because it was untraceable. As bitcoin popularity began to rise over the past 1-2 years now, it became a payment platform and an investment option. Overall, I feel that if you are into decentralization in the banks and government, you should consider what you can do when it comes to bitcoin and other alt coins. Other than that, payments are quicker, easier and direct. The more research people do on what bitcoin is, the more they can see how much it is actually already being used worldwide.

Yes a lot of benefit are there while using electronic currency, Actually people from all over the world now using online currency which is providing opportunities to people to use it in the stores in all over the world and use to buy stuff there online and can pay them from a distance without changing your money in to any other currency.

Also transactions are non-refundable. There are many other reasons like the blockchain applicability in business and other industries,bitcoin price volatility speculation,etc.

Well, the use of bitcoin only depends on the person. If the person needs faster transactions and is open to volatility, then he definitely needs bitcoin in his life. There are people out there that persuades other people to use bitcoin not because they need it, but because they want the demand to rise.
