In my opinion, this is because this year's ICO financing is very difficult. Maybe the same project can easily achieve hardcap last year, but it is very difficult to achieve softcap this year.
If I should base my answer on now, I think the current market biggest dip is having its turn on many of them. So of them base their expected goals on when Btc, ETH and some other acceptance crypto were still relatively okay. Now that it is down, many of them are finding it hard to move forward. However, this will only last a matter of time.

There is always just one reason, with the exceptions of course. Extended campaign means that they didn't reached amount of money gathered through the ICO that they wanted to start
Because of unnecessary things that happened. Things happens without any expectations that it will. When strike the market they will decide to extend the campaign in order to have decent profit for the entire team. Success is what matters the most with ICO.

Agree with your thought , investors are slowly backing off of crypto industry and definitely it is because of so many ICO SCAM , so during campaign time , mostly of ICO were extending their timeline because they are unable to reach the hard cap or even the soft cap, so we have nothing to do with this situation .
There are many reasons to extend time many bounty campaign. first of all they could not selling ico their target. another one when the market going down then people are not interested them.due to collect amount less than target, then there no way seen & bound to extend the period.
There are so many bounty campaigns extending because they meet some requirements to be fully operational. Because nowadays the government is so strict with regards to cryptocurrencies.
Recently so many ICOs have extended their token sale due to bearish market, due to this bearish market lot of investors are holding their funds or investing in established projects which are already listed on CMC. This bearish market is affecting the token sales funding & also some of the new ICOs which have already completed their token sales successfully are not listing their tokens due to bear market.
I believe that much depends on today's market and the number of scams. At this time, it is very difficult to gain the right number of investors who are also afraid to take risks

Yes. The ICOs are not reaching their soft cap within the expected date so they try to extend so that they could reach this. This really is a sad thing for the new projects there. The scams have impacted the general cryptoworld negatively

I agree with you mate. Currently ICOs are trying to collect less money, they decrease soft caps and extend the periods of ICOs.
I agree with you but I really don’t like this method. If a campaign has a start date and an end date these have to be respected or bounty allocation have to be increased!
Many factors have made the ico project extend their program due to poor market conditions or their projects have not reached the target of sales during the ICO.

Obviously this is happening because most of them are not succeeding in Gathering the money that they need for their goals, so they are deciding to expand the Bounty campaign in order to get more money from the investors attracted.

It is simply because they are trying to reach their target even it will take up a long long time. Patience is much required when you join bounty campaign so if you really want to gain much benefit from it, it is very adviseable that you make yourseld ready for waiting for a long long time just to gain profit from it.

Yes, that's why people want a regulatory regime to further enhance the legitimacy and authenticity of the ICO project. This can reduce a lot of fraudulent projects.Jump to:
