In my opinion, the period of bounty campaign is expanding which is not long because of the many ICO scams. In my opinion, there are many ICOs that extend the time of the bounty campaign because their target to get investors has not been fulfilled. It could also be because the bounty campaign hunter is too little so the campaign program is not as smooth as expected.
Bounty campaign is extending their project because they do not have enough fund to raise. Others reason are they did not reach their soft cap. They extend because for promotion purposes on social media and others.
I can't stand having some bounty after the planned date arrives. They have extended an extra 2-3 months. This is a very long time. If you choose to leave, your previous stakes will not count. This is a no fair rule.

They are extending because the ICO is not ready to be launch what I mean is the money or the crowdfunding is not fulfilled yet. Maybe the softcap is not reached and it can be reach in a few days so thats why they are extending it for the project to success.
I think the downtrend is part of the reason for the extension as most investors are scared of more loss in value as the market declines, but market bulls often brings in a lot of excitement and meaning more investors
You can say its because the recent fall in prices, holiday season(which leads us to less participants to icos) or entering the market when the bull run starts is a better than bear times.

i do agree, due to the shortage of investors during ico stage, there is no other option for good projects to extend their project because they dont raised enough funds for the project. that is basically the main reason why they are extending. 
It maybe because of the continuous dumps in the cryptomarket this year. From the start of this year, the market suddenly fell from being at its peak on the last month of the previous year. This might affected the ICOs especially the new ones because the tokens' market value will just be low that might negatively affect the project for a long run. And to save the project, extending might somehow help.

I don't think this is the case. Because ICO is widely distributed, there will be a lot of bounty tasks. The purpose of the bounty is to promote the project. Many bounty means a lot of ICO, which is directly proportional

Most bounties are extending their campaign period when either the soft cap or hard cap not met or both, so they extend their ICO period and this implies that bounty period would be extended as well. Because bounty is for the purpose of marketing the project on various social media platforms so it need be running as much as the ICO is still ongoing.

This is one of the main factor. But there are many factors to consider first. Check the market, everything is bleeding and every coins is in its lowest price since 2017. They really need to extend the ICO period because price of crypto is volatile, 100 ETH in JAN 18th is not the same in this AUG 2018. The new trend of extending ICOs are more likely because a lot projects set their goal sin ETH, but since eth price drops, they have to extend in order to achieve their goal in $$ thus they extend bounty as well.
Well, I believe it due to the volatile situation in the cryptocurrency market. Some of the ICO companies are hoping that things will improve in the nearest future, so they are kind of delaying their whole project roadmap with the intention of ensuring their project succeeds.
I actually do agree with you but there are other reasons why they extend their bounty campaign period. We have obviously because of the increasing scams or better still cyberfraud is now rampant. Another reason is because there have not met there hard cap as a result of investors not knowing about it. Also, the market in recent times is not is not favouring meeting your hard cap as expected so I feel all this involved is making bounty programs extend their periods beyond the normal projected period.

Partially agree with your point. However, the ICO's are extending their date's due to their market cap or hard cap not reached. The market condition is also in bearish trend and they don't want to release their coins at this point of time to save their initial price not to decrease. Apart from thses reasons I don't think there are any other reason for an ICO to extend its date.
