Right now its hard to see successful bounty campaign at shorter span of time, most of them were really having longer timelines. The softcap wasn't able to reach that's why it needs to be extended in order to meet the targeted budget for the market capital. It isn't true that people wasn't inclined to invest in ICO, maybe the interest was so slow but it doesn't mean they're afraid. Possibly its due to poor market development of bitcoin, that's why tradings also declines it's market value due to bitcoin's slow moving and fluctuating market.

This is already answered but i'd like to add some. There's so many reason why bounty campaign extending and some of them are did not reach their softcap. We all know that reaching a softcap is vital to any ICO, it is a lifeline that can save them. Some of them also extend to promote more and get enough publicity, some of them also extend for the reason of wrong timing because Timing and good communications are the most important.

Actually, bounty expansion was after ICO or pre-sale they did not reach the desired amount, so they had to continue to expand the bounty campaign by round 2, 3, 4. For me, I did not continue join the bounty that they expand the campaign like this. A typical example is Asura, which extends bounty co-thought to a potential project

Projects are not getting funded. And not reaching soft cap at their projected time. They have no any other option than to expect sales period. Once sales period is extended, the campaign period would be extended too.

Now it is bear market, so it more difficult to collect even softcap for really good projects, and ICO investors afraid of investing too, because very are many scam projects last time.

I think maybe because so many projects are simultaneously doing ICO. So the project owner needs to extend the sales period to get investors. Another reason is because it has not reached the sales target (softcap) so they need to extend it.

Of course this is the main reason, each project wish to collect hard cap, but it is not so easy to do on such market. Thats why they extends ICO and bounty campaign.

The most advantage for ICO developers is that they can not to pay for bounty after ICO ends at all ). There are many cases when devs just cut out pool very much or don't spend a cent.

Not totally agree... Though it's part of the reasons why we have been having extended ICOs lately but majorly the market and price situation makes many people not to ready to invest, the market curve is not encouraging so people are cautious about what they invest in though as we speak there are still few projects that succeed selling out and reaching hardcap

In my own opinion, the reason why most of the campaigns are extending is due to their coins that has not being sold out yet and they only have few investors which needs more marketing strategy.

Of course I agree. You do not sign any contracts, as in normal work. Basically, campaign bounties are built on trust in a good manager and an adequate team. But because they understand that they can do everything, they prolong our work, it costs nothing to them. This is another reason to choose those campaigns where the end date is specified, and which do not end with the ICO.

Market capitalization is growing, but aysio is still slowly collecting kapu. Few investors believe in altcoyins, everyone chases after bitcoin, but this is a matter of time.

because the enthusiasm for ico began to decrease, many people are already unenthusiastic to invest in ico. so ico extend its promotional period, if ico has done that yet not getting better. then ico will fail and we get nothing.

The primary reason for the extension of any bounty campaign project will be to attract new and more investors and to make the token be more well known through different social medias and other community group channels most especially if the target hardcap is close to being reach, so advertisement and promotions will be of big help to achieve the hardcap if they would extend the bounty campaign.
