If one day the usage and number of bitcoin transactions continue to increase and is used by the majority of everyone then it is very possible and reasonable if someday banks offer bitcoin deposits.

recently the Japanese company Coincheck announced the first interest-bearing accounts in Japan in bitcoins. Despite the fact that in general the project looks quite attractive and can promote the distribution of bitcoin among the population, there are certain problems associated with the mechanisms for making profit from such deposits.

In my view if banks will offer bitcoin deposits, well it will good because banks will not be able to close because they will play an important role for bitcoin then.

We all know how risky bitcoin is. Let's imagine the most riskiest money deposit situation.
What do you think guys, will this moment ever come and banks decide to offer us Bitcoin deposits (e.g. fixed profit on 1 year deposit and etc).
This can be very, very profitable for banks if they make correct decisions.
P.S I don't mean freebitco.in's offer of holds on their wallet. I mean if official banks ever offer us this service.
Bitcoin is too risky compared to the operating rules of the banking system at the moment! Prices change fast and continuous! Great risk! Only suitable for adventurous investors!

No matter how volatile is Bitcoin, the Banks shall definitely be earning more rewards at the detriment of all their customers, leaving you to virtually very little or nothing if such situation could arise, of which Banks would also subscribe to this idea if well implemented,. But I'm also sure they would not do so this time around since the economy is yet to accept the operation of Bitcoin in most of the worldly economies due to its deregulation and decentralization.

They will be able to earn more rewards only if they are able to make loans denominated in Bitcoin. That may be possible on the Bitcointalk forum, but it definitely won't be possible on an institutional scale. Plus banks are regulated institutions - do you think the regulators will allow them to take price risk associated with cryptocurrencies?

This issue is very difficult and long-term. For the banking system to start working with Bitcoin you need a lot of time, approvals and deposits.
This issue can be considered after bitcoin starts working with governments and will be legal.

I don't have any acquaintance with it could happen. Banks is the most adversaries of cryptocurrencies. Digital currency can demolish the managing a banking framework. Presently individuals have a decision which will spare their cash on the keep money with little advantages or the digital currency have a considerable measure of advantages. If they are not going to offer bitcoin deposits, they will, at last, accomplish a remark administration identified with bitcoins and this ideal way I believe that banks will do to abstain from losing their customer.

The economy is developing day-by-day and so the bank sector has to keep step as well. I think that the option of BTC deposits can open the door for new fields for banks. They needed to develop into it

Maybe not exactly deposits but most certainly they have to find a way to collaborate with this ecosystem if they must stay relevant in few years to come.

Every thing is possible, adaption by means of regulations and innovative policies may indeed allow banks to accept bitcoin into their operational system. Position and leveling is so crucial these days. A decade before, no one even knows that such technology might emerge in the market, so we can not put limitation on the progression and possibilities of bitcoin in the future.

If banks suddenly do this, then the price for one bitcoin can really go to 1 million dollars! But for now, it's fantastic.

it may happen that nobody knows about the future but the risk of unstable price will be the challenge itself for the bank in making this decision, but if it happens I am very interested if I later have more btc, if the bank system can be cyclone with btc and technology development will not be impossible

That idea might came through someday that banks all over the world would accept bitcoin deposits according to the banks term and conditions, this might possibly happen in the future because some banks now accepts payments and transactions using bitcoin and other altcoins, this would come to reality.

If bitcoin continues to improve and potentially skyrockets next year then it is certain that banks are not able to stop users so receiving bitcoin deposits is something to be done.

I do not know why will they do that since people can just store and take care of their Bitcoins, why hire people to hold your Bitcoins and other digital currencies if you can do it yourself? It is a decentralized digital currency for a reason. In the future, even if the banks accepts Bitcoin deposits, I don't think I will be depositing any money to them except my salary.

This coin is suitable for investors at the moment, namely at the moment, recently rose and I think will continue, because now everything is in the hands of this coin.

Liberated Forever. Domesticated Never.
I think in the long run or eventually when banks will decide to join in on the bandwagon, they will give in and hopefully accept bitcoin deposits. But currently, I dont think there are banks that accept them yet.

Maybe. But now, none of the banks have accepted Bitcoin for deposits/withdrawals, leaving us with the only option of fiat currencies issued by governments. It could probably be this way because Bitcoin poses a threat to banks' current economic system, as Bitcoin eliminates the middleman and gives control back to the people. As such, Bitcoin and banks could remain as rivals for many years in our world.

Therefore, I doubt that there will be a possibility for banks to be able to offer Bitcoin deposits. Unless, governments pass a bill to allow banks to do so, and banks become interested in offering Bitcoin deposits to their customers, we won't be able to experience this anytime soon. But, in the bright side, we can be our own bank by securing our Bitcoin in cold storage, and even hardware wallets, without the need to trust a third party or middleman. Wink
