I think banks will not offer deposits using bitcoins. because the bitcoin value is very volatile whose price is surging due to demand and supply. I think banks would prefer to encourage people to deposit with money that has been recognized by the government. but if bitcoin is already adopted by the government, maybe the bank will do just that. everything can happen. but for the moment I have never heard that there are banks in my country that offer deposits using bitcoins.

I'm not sure banks will offer bitcoin deposits with a profit like deposits, because I see the instability factor of bitcoin prices make it a constraint for banks to determine profits for us every year such as deposits

The bank will not deposit the bitcoin. Because the bank wants to earn more profits. If the bank deposits a bitcoin, then its profit will be reduced. There are many discrepancies between bitcoin and the bank.

We all know how risky bitcoin is. Let's imagine the most riskiest money deposit situation.
What do you think guys, will this moment ever come and banks decide to offer us Bitcoin deposits (e.g. fixed profit on 1 year deposit and etc).
This can be very, very profitable for banks if they make correct decisions.
P.S I don't mean freebitco.in's offer of holds on their wallet. I mean if official banks ever offer us this service.

If the government accept and legalize bitcoin, I think banks will ever offer bitcoin deposits. But maybe it will happen in the future, when bitcoin or crypto will dominate.

Banks can also offer deposits in USD, EUR and so on. If banks will offer deposits in BTC, they convert them to USD, EUR and other currencies and then make their profit, so most probably they convert BTC deposits, so it is quite simple bank job.

Well it could be possible for small banks to accept bitcoin but not in deposits but it could be in exchange to fiat money. This banks are also doing some innovation on how to get along with the new trends of nowadays technology. So if bitcoin for them will be a good one to get involve with then creating a means for the crypto or bitcoin lovers for them to benefit also is an advantage.

cryptocurrency wants to end the banking system why banks embrace it? You really will kill yourself if you are a bank, decentralized cryptocurrency and centralized banks are at odds with each other.

Using Bitcoin or other digital currencies will really make banks useless since with digital currencies, you can manage your own balances, your own digital currencies by yourself. You do not need other people to do that for you since you can do it myself, but there are still banks that embraces Bitcoin and other digital currencies. I think it is because of its great technology that can be used by them.

really bitcoin is not needed in the bank, BUT, all the same, we also need to somehow interact with the fiat, so the bank needs it, but it must change its mind about the attitude

It depends on whether the bank and Bitcoin can cooperate in the future.

This may seem imoossible now especially that banks and bitcoins are both in a different and exact opposite systems. However, if bitcoin demand continues to increase and so as the number of investors and users, then i guess banks will have no choice but to adapt to such challenge. Though it may be risky but i am pretty sure they will come to an agreement where in banks won’t be losing too much as well.
Banks indeed will find ways, they will take every opportunities that they will get even they have different position regarding to this system, we knew by the fact that bitcoin evolves as people around love decentralization while banks is on its different side, but in most cases banks always adopt if they find interest and see that it can profitable from their business they will do everything to gain.

Bitcoin is illegal tender in some countries. And it is very fluctuate currency like stock market. So I think it's hard to take deposit by banks.
Bank can give other services to Bitcoin like: loans against Bitcoin, a account or locker where u can maintain Bitcoin and related documents.

Not to mention banks offer such features, for the possibility of adopting bitcoin alone is very small. Banks are companies regulated by the state and they are required to earn a profit in each year. That is, risk mitigation is important to them rather than approaching the risk of making a bitcoin deposit feature.

In my opinion it would just be a matter of time until they accept bitcoin deposit and withdrawals.  There is a huge chance for banks to create their own way to hold bitcoins and make their own exchange company like you can convert cryptocurrency to fiat and that is the only way for them to survive this fast changing high technology financial chaos.   Surely,  in the future,  many banks will try to offer to deposit bitcoin, because basically bitcoin investment is almost the same as stocks or mutual funds.  Banks will definitely do something like make a bitcoin deposit as long as they think it's profitable. They will just have to study deeply the Blockchain Technology.
