Yeah, nothing is permanent similar to that quoted by the above mate, but with bitcoin i believe it lasts forever. By situation bitcoin might fall due to technologies overcoming bitcoin, but in some other name bitcoin once again emerges for the next phase of growth.

It might happen, but its very unlikely. Since Bitcoin was created, many alts (altcoins) have come up. Only Litecoin, Peercoin and Dogecoin among them gained any real success. However replacement of bitcoins by altcoins is very unlikely. This is because of the many advantages that bitcoin has over other alts. Since almost everyone who finds out about cryptocurrency only really knows about Bitcoin, that’s the one they’re going to buy and try to incorporate it into their daily lives. Also, Bitcoin already has the largest community, most of which, of course comes from BitcoinTalk

Bitcoin also has a higher value and is nowadays increasing in price very steadily, so there are very less chances of any price dumps. Moreover, bitcoin has caught the trust of more people, so less are likely to shift to a new currency. Transactions are faster in bitcoin, and there are many ways to earn, spend, invest and get profits from bitcoins, which isnt possible much for altcoins

Nothing will go over Bitcoin because everybody trusts Bitcoin the most, and also because it's being used for eight years already which is a lot. It became popular in some countries while in some (like mine) pretty much nobody uses it.

I do not understand how people can really belief something like this. It happened before. Maybe not in the crypto world, but in countless other things. Do you know Altavista? It was the first big search engine and only lasted for 8 years before yahoo bought it and shut down 10 years after that. Today everybody uses google and nobody remembers a time before google.

From these several years passing bitcoin is gaining its good reputation in terms of legal transactions via internet and i don't think there's another cryptocurrency that replace with it because bitcoin price is still the leading of all cryptocurrency right now, there were some kinds of cryptocurrencies gaining reputations but they were just only an alternative source of bitcoins and not itself. For me with strong belief of bitcoin, i'd rather say no one can replace bitcoin at all but we should believe that there would be a possibility of new form of coin will be made but doesn't replace bitcoin in the near future of internet world that somewhat similar to bitcoin because freedom is always there specially more programmers were developing their skills and there is no limitatiins in competition right now on the world internet we are bound to have free will all the time.

i know thats impossible but some day ago i was being invited in a conference on the cryptocurrencys they told me about how they think that the new altcoin ( asia digicoin ) is going to increase like bitcoin and so on so there might have a chance that these can atleast reach the mark

Its hard to believe some other altcoin has power and community support to replace bitcoin, i dont see others altcoins worthing 0,10btc thats a 10% bitcoin, even with big potencial coins its hard to believe we will swicth into another coin, but we never know, lets think some whale group wake up and decide to pump hard some coin to cross those wall, that for me is the first step to grow and get close bitcoin.

I guess everybody is entitled to his own opinion even if it is such a narrow minded like yours. However the price increase is such a bad indicator. There were times where Bitcoin had bad years and also the increase of some altcoins are bigger then Bitcoins if you look at it percentage wise, so other currencies are much faster growing then bitcoin.

Technology is evolving at a tremendous rate and just as bitcoin suddenly appeared and caught our attention, so is the possibility that another coin might come up and replace bitcoin, but that can only be if such coin is able to beat everything that bitcoin stands for. At any rate, the way to see that won't be that bitcoin was replaced, but rather it was improved upon and given a new name.

We really can't predict future, what may happen in 20, 30 or 50 years.
Internet became famous just 15 years ago, smartphones in last 5, 6 years.
Bitcoin? Only in last 4-5 years.
Right now, Bitcoin is obviously the most famous virtual currency and its price is slowly going up but this can change any moment.
Someone can create even more popular virtual currency, it's possible.
Of course, if such scenario, out of habit, still many people will continue to use Bitcoin but less than before.
We really can't know what future will brings us

absolutely right, We really can't predict future. might appear a few coins that can beat the popularity bitcoin, and making bitcoin replaced . bitcoin is very good and very profitable, but, if it appears the coin that was made better than bitcoin and more profitable, maybe the coin will replace bitcoin. Well, we can not guess the future with great accuracy.
