To say for sure whether Bitcoin Gold has a future is very difficult.
This is a relatively new coin.
It seems to me that only those coins that have proven their viability in the market will have a bright future for many more years.

I don't really trust Bitcoin's forks. But as for me, Bitcoin Gold is better than Bitcoin Cash. So I think it has future. That's just my opinion.

Bitcoin Gold seems to have a solid development team, as it has managed to quickly implement an ASIC-resistant algorithm after the release of Bitmain's miners for Equihash. If it remains a GPU-only mineable coin, then it would be much more decentralized in the mining process than both Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. However, its success will only depend on the level of adoption it would experience in the mainstream world.

Considering that it has all the same features as Bitcoin, with the differences being an ASIC-resistant algorithm and better privacy, it could be well worth the investment after all.

Nonetheless, do you think Bitcoin Gold (BTG) will have a future or not? Smiley
if seen indeed bitcoin gold has a good work team that is able to develop their projects better. if it continues to be maintained and is able to attract investors, chances are that it will have a good future

BTG is a project that today does not make sense, I think that this is a project, just a fork, which has no application in real life. The world today is just a huge number of different niches, which are developing and will always develop.

Agree. There are many Bitcoin forks out there, which have nearly the exact same vision and purpose of the original Bitcoin (BTC). Most of them are just quick money grabs by their devs (like Bitcoin SV). Others are providing constant development and innovation but aren't used at a large scale (like Bitcoin Cash). Which is why, Bitcoin will prevail in the end, while most altcoins will fail. Only a select few will remain actively traded on the market like Ethereum, and Litecoin due to their proven technologies, and most of all, mainstream adoption.

Right now, Bitcoin Gold's future is uncertain just as with many Bitcoin forks in existence today. If BTG wants to succeed, it would need to provide something unique and truly innovative not found elsewhere. Otherwise, many people will prefer to use the leading cryptocurrencies than Bitcoin Gold. Just my opinion Smiley

The team and the operator members of the Bitcoin Gold had alot of issues with their provided blockchain and their product.. I've read some articles about bugs and issues, scam attemps and alot of other silly stuffs about this coin and i honestly thought that it is just bullshit! i didn't like it and i had invested in it and had some good profits but that didn't change my view toward the project.. it's just a business and they made alot from it.. i don't know the reason behind that biggest dump but i think that they are selling their coins just to run behind btc ..

For me BITCOIN GOLD has no future, many TOKENS AND COINS will be gone as they have no product to show.
Once the cryptocurrency is adopted by countries in this world many crypto will die.
BITCOIN will remain but not at top, this will happen!

No one is interested in privacy. Having a better probably than bitcoin doesn’t mean that it will do better ,cause there are already coins with far more better privacy but still hasn’t made it to the top of the list. Bitcoin Gold hasn’t been doing well right from the beginning and I don’t even think it will do better , but we shall all see. And when it does better, we can then talk about whether to invest in it or not.

That's certainly true, mate. The need for privacy is not as much as I've thought it would be, since many people don't care about it. This has been proven with Zcash, where a huge majority of transactions were performed via transparent addresses, instead of shielded addresses. Bitcoin Gold being a privacy coin, like most other privacy coins in the market, would need to deliver something innovative to the world or it will fail.

Many coins such as Bitcoin Private, PIVX, Zcoin, and Zcash, provide the same privacy features as Bitcoin Gold. The only difference is that Bitcoin Gold is an ASIC resistant coin, but there are also other altcoins which are resistant to ASICs such as Vertcoin and Ravencoin. Right now, we haven't heard much about BTG probably because it lacks proper marketing/promotion. The dev team needs to provide a well-thought roadmap, following constant developments over time, to give a sense of activity within the cryptocurrency project.

Other than that, BTG may remain as a speculative cryptocurrency (like Dogecoin) in the future. With new cryptocurrencies popping out every day, the future of BTG becomes uncertain. Just my thoughts Grin

I don’t think Bitcoin Gold (BTG) is a promising coin, and to be honest, I don’t think they will reach great heights!

As far as I know Bitcoin gold is a fork of bitcoin and as in any fork, I do not see the future as in my opinion bitcoin is the only one of its kind and no one will replace it. I will not take risks and invest in bitcoin gold.

A great many people have concentrated on the Bitcoin Cash Hash Wars than other BTC forks. While this arrived at an end, Bitcoin Gold still hasn't accumulated the dimension of prevalence as other driving forks, (BCH and BSV). Obviously, BTG has a devoted improvement group to make the cryptographic money as solid and secure as feasible for every day installments. In any case, for it to make genuine progress, it would require standard reception.

When i see a coin which starts with the bitcoin, i always keep away from them. I would say that those coins is something like fake for me. I have invested in Bitcoin Cash last year from the price of $2.100 and now its price is $160! Also last spring i have invested in Bitcoin Private from $29 and now its price  $1.68. The real bitcoin has lost too but not like them. They have lost like 1/12! So bitcoin gold would be very bad investment for me and i would never do that..
I agree with you completely. but I stopped being interested in Bitcoin Gold when there was an attack 51% on this coin and they did not pay money back to people

Bitcoin Gold uses its own platform, meaning that it does not depend on third party platforms. The development of Bitcoin Gold for the future depends on the team. They can create new things according to their own desires, so as to improve future development easier than coins that use third party platforms. In my opinion, Bitcoin Gold will one day be a good digital asset, just like the development of Bitcoin.

There are many coins that are ASIC-resistant like VertCoin, but why we should use Bitcoin Gold? What is the main difference?
Explain to newbie why we have so many Bitcoins, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV, Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin Diamond and so on. All of them are useless except the real one - Bitcoin (Bitcoin Core).

That's the point. Vertcoin is already ASIC-resistant, and so does Ravencoin. With the various number of altcoins competing against each other in terms of ASIC-resistance, and innovative features, it'll be hard for Bitcoin Gold to get somewhere. Besides, there are many Bitcoin forks in existence which haven't served a real purpose in life. The only one from the list of forks you've mentioned that has some chance of survival is Bitcoin Cash.

Other than that, most Bitcoin forks would die if they cannot provide real uses for the mainstream world. Bitcoin Gold may have ASIC-resistance and privacy, but it would need more than that to stay ahead in the game. The key towards the survival of any cryptocurrency is developer and community support. Hence, if BTG loses those key aspects, it won't have a future at all. Just my opinion Smiley

I believe that bitcoin gold has no future, in my opinion it is just a useless clone, which has very few supporters. But in any case, this is my personal opinion, and how the coin will actually behave in this market, it is very difficult to predict. But to date, my predictions are not comforting.

I think all efforts to make an improved copy fail. Therefore, I don't see the prospect of Bitcoin Gold. Maybe like most of you, I also believe that bitcoin is the founder of the market and only He can dominate the market.

bitcoin gold has sunk, and its future is definitely known. after doing a hard fork and stand alone to be separated from bitcoin, bitcoin gold actually sank. we only have to wait for bitcoin cash with what they do almost the same as bitcoin gold.
