It is really what you say. The development of crypto currencies is so fast and widespread that crypto currencies have proven that crypto currencies can be used for payments. I feel that it easy and convenient to transact with crypto currencies. I do not need to be difficult to transact across countries anytime and without tax or authority blocking. in my opinion cryptocurrency is indeed made to be a payment system, but it can't be instant because it takes time for development.

Here in the Philippines, we are able to use bitcoin as payment to buy a prepaid load, pay bills, buy games, and credit cards by using the wallet of coins.ph that is very known here in the Philippines. I think once blockchain gets accepted by the world and some big companies, like facebook, twitter, amazon, etc join in crypto, then it will become a global payment system all over the world.
I think it will be more useful than our normal hard cash. Crypto currency transaction is fast and also very in general system where you can send your money to anywhere anytime.
To win the competition from ordinary money is not as difficult as it may seem, but to take away the market from plastic will be almost impossible, it is much more convenient for peopleI would not be so sure. I think that the adoption of smartphone payments, with cryptocurrencies also, will be even faster than from paper money to plastic.
