Perhaps this coin will someday become a little more expensive than now. But I do not think that this coin has a great future and that it can bring a lot of profit.

Fast transactions, excellent software and a good development team - there are excellent opportunities for project growth, there is a good potential for development.
Do you really know about Dogecoin? Did you try a one time to research about an old altcoin like Dogecoin? The final official wallet of Dogecoin released on 11 Nov 2015. Until this year, at the early of this year, some devs come back to build the new version wallet again but just update alpha version for testing, no official release to replace the old wallet. So, "excellent software and a good development team" is wrong, the devs of Dogecoin gave up this project since 2015.
They have given up this project for a long time but until now dogecoin is alive because people still have faith in dogecoin. I personally see dogecoin as shitcoin because the liquidity of dogecoin is very low and their development team just need to create lots of coin to be able to sell earn money. The rate of dogecoin inflation is very high up to 155 billion coin and this is a very large number. The best advice is to stay away from dogecoin
But all the stats and graphs on the market and the stock market just say that this coin will die soon.
I do not understand why people create this. It feels like it's a stupid joke. Do not invest in it. But at least you should be sure what you are doing.

I am somehow uncertain with dogecoin, what should i think of him.
The fact that so many new dogecoins are made every day does not motivate me to invest in dogecoin.
And what i can read here, i am not the only one who is uncertain about the future of dogecoin.

I never get why the Dogecoin got this Hype actually, and dont get me wrong, I know a lot of people who actually made money from trading DOGE.
But if we wanna look deeply, im not sure about its future. Unless the big community around this coin gets bigger and bigger, who knows, maybe more and more transactions using DOGE will appears.

It's true, but those coins don't have the market cap that DOGE does. It's been within the top 20 for a long time now, I think the trust, speed and the ultra low fees

The only one thing that I heard about dogecoin is that it is backed with a meme, lol. And that it has a great transaction fees that allow many people to convert cryptocurrency into a local currencies when they withdraw bounty money.

Well, this meme cryptocurrency has proven to be quite useful after all. Developers originally created DOGE as a mere joke, but now it's considered as a serious altcoin for the masses. Of course, you can't expect to do much with DOGE since it lacks development and innovation, but at least it functions as intended. Dogecoin can be compared as the original Bitcoin without SegWit, and Lightning Network. It's functional, practical, cheap, and fast, which is quite enough for anyone to use it without hassles.

I believe that with the level of usage Dogecoin has, it may never need to upgrade to become scalable, since it's doing perfectly fine. However, if in the future, Dogecoin gains massive usage among everyday people, it would need a talented development team, to help it scale either by increasing the block size, or simply implementing SegWit + Lightning Network. It's only a matter of time if there's enough interest among people in the mainstream world, to help this become a reality.

One thing for sure, is that there are better altcoins than Dogecoin itself which are faster and cheaper than ever. Someday in the future, if Dogecoin's community breaks up, the cryptocurrency itself might die because no one would become interested in using it. Just my thoughts Grin

Dogecoin is based only on the meme, nothing revolutionary, everything is just fun and when market is falling, there is no fun - no value?
I think that people can invest their money into better altcoins Wink.

Just want to ask, why so? I wasn't attracted by dogecoin so far. I didn't see vital features in it and it's a simple bitcoin clone as you guys know this. Then I wouldn't spend my money on such speculative asset.

Dogecoin has been my favorite alt coin for quite a long time. It serves as a good cryptocurrency for tipping others, as well as being a fun and inexpensive medium of exchange.

However, I'm worried what might happen to Dogecoin in the future, since it has been quite some time that no new version of the QT wallet has been mentioned, neither some innovation to keep it going for the long term.

It would become ideal for Dogecoin to add SegWit to its code, and gain traction if it gains acceptance from the miners. Then, if it manages to become the first cryptocurrency to accept the scalable solution, it could rise in popularity once more (not to mention that transaction will be near instantaneous).

Nevertheless, Dogecoin is a great cryptocurrency being inexpensive and relatively stable, making it a great way to tip others or send micropayments faster than BTC at a fraction of the cost.

Looking forward to your opinion. Wink

I'm sure not. Developments himself said that the coin was invented as a joke, about what growth you are talking about. Yes, there will probably be growth if the capitalization of the crypto-currency market takes off several times, but in the current situation you can forget about this coin!

I think yes. This is a crypto currency that gives hope for its success. It is very complex and has a number of practical functions in use. At the same time it grows dynamically and confidently. I think it has a future.

Maybe or maybe not. Dogecoin is used and traded by many people around the world, but it still lacks development. I'm ok with that if it remains usable and practical for daily payments. But, as other cryptocurrencies advance in terms of technology in features, they will make Dogecoin look like an obsolete cryptocurrency in the future. With the massive community Dogecoin has, someone could take the initiative to continue with the development of such a good project.

But it seems, that there's no one interested in helping advance DOGE to become a greater cryptocurrency over time. I know that it was created as a joke currency, but now many have seen DOGE as a serious cryptocurrency for micropayments and tipping. Hence, it would be nice if someone or a group of people would take care of the development of Dogecoin by raising funds, or simply do voluntary work to achieve said purpose. And if this becomes a reality, then Dogecoin's future will be certain. Cheesy

This coin is great and its locale is really huge with several supporters which by one means or another aides in keeping this coin on track. Be that as it may, it has been a while since this coin had any advancement thus, its future is impossible except if its engineers will do a few changes or the coin will demonstrate some change.

According to data available, no changes have been made to the code since 20th October, 2015, and since a burst of activity in the middle of that year, contributions have essentially ceased.
Perhaps more telling is that trade volumes have also declined sharply since the cryptocurrency's peak in popularity, according to CoinMarketCap.

True. This shows that Dogecoin has been completely abandoned in terms of development and innovation. While there are still people who actively trade and use it, the excitement won't last long as the cryptocurrency becomes obsolete in the future. By then, there would be no use to buy and hold DOGE since there would be superior altcoins in the market which serves the same purpose as the former with greater speeds and cheaper costs.

Nowadays, we have near-instant and fee-less cryptocurrencies like NANO and IOTA. They can be used exactly for the same purpose as Dogecoin such as sending micropayments, and tipping others at a fraction of the cost. Therefore, what's only contributing towards Dogecoin's life is its community, which may all fade sometime in the future. Just my thoughts Grin

I think it can have a good future if its developers can do good in its aspect of technology which will make it more useful to the technologists and that will increase its value in the cryptocurrency market.
