for this year does not seem to be possible, see it's obvious the two are linked to a great distance. Thus for this year seems unlikely. If 2019 or 2020 can just because certainly ethereum continues to grow.
I think this year, and bitcoin and etherium will show not a bad growth if the bullish trend persists, if not, then there will hardly be a rasscorrelation
If there is a coin that can beat bitcoin i think ethereum has the highest potential. I am open to the idea of ethereum surpassing bitcoin but i do not think it is going to happen in the near future. Ethereum team has been planning for this to happen for years now but still they are secondary to bitcoin. Maybe someday in the future they can overcome the hump.
I dont think so because bitcoin is the master of all crypto currencies. it may increase but bitcoin will keep its value
You are right bitcoin is the king of all currency and no currency can ever beat the value of bitcoin, so I think bitcoin will remain with high demand in market as it is more able to more easy to use that any other currency so! how can we say Ethereum will ever beat bitcoin. Now bitcoin price is high again because of high use and investment that most of people use to do. According to me bitcoin is king of all present currency and will remain at its place forever. Ethereum will definetely worth as much as btc worth, but in terms of market cap I don't know if it can be higher than bitcoin, but it is very clear that ethereum worths to hold.
i agree with you mate eterheum have good potential in the market grow up the price into the moon, but really believe ethereum can't overtake the price of bitcoin price in the marketcap, okay when it comes the price of ethereum overtake the bitcoin price i stil believe bitcoin reamin as king diigital currency but thid scenario are very impossible.
Yes, someday but somehow when it will happen, for now, is to be embedded in much, so it's definitely going to need more time. but nothing is impossible, therefore ethereum very good for investment in the future.
It is really possible, ethereum has a lot of positive aspects to achieve bitcoin price but in this year it can be hard. I think maybe in next year
It is not possible in short because Bitcoin is already dominant currency and has huge potential in the market. In the present situation has the ability to show its potential but it will another 5 to 10 years time.

Everything changes in crypto world, but to say that Etherium will beat bitcoin this 2018 is far from reality. As you can see Bitcoins rule the crypto world as of now, etherium is almost far from behind so beating btc is impossible as of now. ETH buyers are filled with people with little understanding of crypto. These holders usually panic sell easily, will not cause stability. 
it could happen but not for this year, it will probably happen in the next year because for now ethereum already has a positive value in the society cryptocurrency
It will not be easy for ETH to defeat bitcoin even in far future, ETH and bitcoin are 2 different platforms. Bitcoin has the limit total supply but ETH is endless so it is quite hard too compare, but due to the total supply ETH will never have the chance to surpass bitcoin.
My opinion in reality situation with this is impossible. There are more things that ethereum must experience along the way in crypto. There is big gap on that and far price to each other.

yes for me, in all aspect eth beat btc and i think the reason why btc is in the first place is because of our respect from it and many people do not agree yet that eth could be the next top 1 crypto since they tend to think when someday bitcoin falls the rest will follow but for me it's not.

It is really a good thing to see that Ethereum are getting strong and very competitive enough in the market. But it couldn't possible that it will go beyond bitcoin achievements since we knew that btc is highly in demand and having a huge market cap.

You are wrong. In fact, ethereum is much more useful than bitcoin, and it doesn't matter if bitcoin has the LN or not. ethereum is very useful, smart contracts + intelligency, and a lot of more stuff that bitcoin doesn't offer.

There is a very big possibility that Ether's value will be much higher than that of bitcoin. But I doubt that it will happen this end of the year 2018. Ethereum's platform is utilized by more than 50% of ICO right now that make it popular and also the transaction fee is much more lower than that of bitcoin.

I think Ethereum has the best chance of surpassing bitcoin in market capitalization of all altcoins, because it's one of the most useful coins nowadays.
