At the moment, I may not have been able to stop gambling completely because, for me, this game is just to have fun and fill up my free time. At this moment, my age is still quite young, and maybe, with your opinion above, I'm also starting to think about being able toset limits to stop playing this game so that, in old age, we no longer depend on gambling because we realize that gambling requires money and we never know how we're going to be financially.

After become the gambler,it's hard to get away from the gambling. If the young people become a gambler,he will have enough money to gamble till their old ages.If the gambler get addicted at the young ages,it's very hard to control such people even at their old ages in the gambling.I had involved in the gambling since my 21 years when I had started to work after my college days.Still I am the gambler over a 7 years of long year in the gambling. My friend alsothe gambler,we do gambling at every Sunday.

I can't say for sure if I will gamble in old age. Because people's mentality is not the same throughout life. I find gambling very fascinating at the moment. It is a medium of entertainment. Also I have a lot of money. But it is impossible to say for sure whether I will have any interest in gambling in my old age. Also, how can I gamble if I don't have money? So I would say we don't need to think so much about the future. Now we are fine. Enjoying gambling, we should enjoy it. God knows best what will happen in future.

I knew that from a certain old age I will grew tired of these gambling games, I know for myself that I will stop seeing it as amusing anymore and I will basically stop playing it given that on my current status, I'm not into huge profit anymore and more on entertainment. If the entertainment I got from doing gambling is lost, for sure I will stop doing gambling. I don't have a clue on what specific age should I quit but I'm sure I will stop doing gambling before I perish in this world, maybe a new hobby that makes me really entertained will make me quit.

Yes, this is 100% true, the potential for gambling addiction should not be underestimated in any age group. Even at the age of 60, addiction can manifest itself in a more aggressive form than at a young age. But I meant that, on average, older people are calmer if divided into 2 large groups: young and old gamblers.

When I often see on TV or on the Internet when they show Las Vegas, there are a lot of retirees sitting at the slot machines, but I think they like to go out somewhere and spend time, which they have plenty of. Young people prefer to play online, and of course there are tens or hundreds of times more of them than those pensioners. This is also facilitated by aggressive advertising of gambling in all areas, even in games such as Dota 2 and CS, where rare items that cost a lot of money fall out of the chest. I would even call it a hidden form of gambling that minors are taught to do from a young age. I think this is a real problem.
Gambling addiction is age-neutral. Young or old, gaming can be highly alluring. Yes, older people may appear calmer, but it doesn't mean their addiction is weaker

We often assume Las Vegas retirees are there for fun. Who knows what's in their minds? Young people have platforms like online games, as you noted. Gambling in Dota 2 and CS is worrisome. Aren't these games disturbing for normalizing gambling in kids? They seem ready for real-world gambling. This is a major issue. Addressing this: how? We protect the defenseless how?
On the one hand, you are right; this still, to some extent, prepares minors for gambling. They won't have the same surprise effect that I had as an adult. But on the other hand, a lot of children play these games, and the element of gambling with different objects may negatively affect some small part of them. Surely you have heard that some child stole money from his parents to buy himself an expensive thing in the game. He doesn't yet have a strong understanding of priorities in life, and in this rare case the priority was focused on the game. It is probably impossible to protect them from this,  these are the modern realities of our lives. Although I heard how other schoolchildren made money on game items thanks to their brains and some kind of schemes, I am far from this.

It is completely unthinkable to continue gambling into old age.  Even though gambling can provide pleasure for most people, there are still other ways to find pleasure that are more positive and do not have a bad impact on oneself, especially in old age, a person's physical and mental changes will definitely experience changes.
As we experience when gambling, of course there is tension when playing and old age is very susceptible to experiencing excessive tension.  It is feared that the gambling he did could have a worse impact on him.

The love of gambling makes someone play even though they are old already and retiring. As long as they still see gambling as their pastime, they will go and play just like in the old days when they were young and strong. Of course, with their age, they still have the chance to win but I don't think they are in after with that because what is in their mind is to enjoy their life while still alive.
If my father is a gambler and is still playing now, I don't stop him either but to let him go with what he wants.
If your parents don't have a job or income, but you give funds every month to your parents to buy food and other living necessities, will your decision change forbidding your parents to stop gambling?
I don't want old people to still be involved in gambling at the age of 50, they have to stop gambling when they are old and have to start a new life without gambling activities, we hope that old people can live peacefully in old age without any burdens that make them anxious and sad.

I was in the garden this evening and I was think on my bet that I placed on this evening game, then something came into my head like...are you going to gamble even when you are old, or you will quit gambling at a certain age.

There are so many of us that are responsible gamblers and we only gamble to entertain ourselves not for making profit. Since gambling is done for fun, it becomes part of us, this is because we enjoy the fun, and some persons uses it to relieve them after a long day stress at work. We always assign some portion of our income for our gambling activities because it has become a habit in us. I know that some of us hasn't thought of quitting gambling because we are responsible gamblers.

My question is this, will you continue to gamble till old age, or you have planned to stop gambling at a certain age?
I am not referring to addicted gamblers that will learn a hard lesson before the quit, but only responsible gamblers that are taking all prevention measures to addiction.

I will answer first.
I will love to quit gambling when I am 42yrs because I don't want to give gambling much time and I will prefer to look for an alternative means to have fun.

Everyone will gamble until his wallet is emptytill old age. Or another option. There are no former gamblers. Smiley

Gambling diseases affect all genders, all ages, all social groups, and so on. It doesn’t matter how old you are, if you are a gambler, you will continue to play in old age. This endless pursuit of imaginary gains, driven by greed, will never end. If one day don’t stop and stop gambling forever.

Just don’t need these fairy tales about how gamblers play for fun and not for profit. If you want entertainment, play free casinos without real bets (download the "toy" version) and play for fun. Won't you do it? Well then, don’t need these stories about playing for fun then.

You are not responsible gamblers, but “already addicted to gambling” players. There is no need to manipulate concepts.

There is only one cure for preventing addiction: “tell yourself stop and stop gamblng. Forever.”

How old are you now? Just trying to figure out how long you want to "torture" your wallet. Smiley And what alternative ways to have fun are you ready to switch to? Anything in mind?

We don't know yet our future if we can still reach in 50+ ages or not but For me if I have given a chance to get older then for sure I will still gamble for fun. Actually here in my country like what other said there are many old people still gamble not just because they are addict but they will still gamble because they will feel happiness when they are in a world of gambling .

Even at 50+ one can still find gambling to be more interesting to play, but when you begin to reach age 70+ i don't think there's anything fun in gambling as you would have gotten while you're still younger, when we get to certain age limit, we will by ourselves adjust without anyone to tell us what to do, gambling is for fun, but when we are old enough then it will be our joy in seing the younger generations and our grandchildren playing it than we doing it ourselves, that is why we just have to enjoy it all while it last and we are still young in age.

         -  Here in our country, I observe some senior individuals who continue to gamble, but they mostly play bingo and the lotto. However,
I have not observed any elders or elderly individuals playing internet games. Online gambling is a popular pastime.

They play the ones I mentioned the most since they don't have to think as much as other casino games. Of course, I won't want to gamble again till I'm old; it's good to gamble once in a while, and I'm the only one who knows no one else. To be honest, it's more acceptable to me.

Yes because it becomes their habit and also their source of happiness . That is why just like other game and just like other entertainment there's no limit in age if they want it and they like to spend their lives gamble and will continue to do it even though they are old enough just because they want to have a fun with their friends and also their loveones and the emotion they are feeling.

Bingo and lotto are classic games, that's why they're prefer this game over the new online games. Nowadays e-sport is really popular and almost all youths play this game, when they get older in the future, they will play this game instead of bingo and lotto.

Old people are only want to bring back their memories, that's why they spend more time to play including gambling.

Maybe it is hard to see elderly people gambling online because this trend started in our generation and not them. Although there might be some elderly people who gamble online, it is just that we cannot see them since they play at home or in private. Bingo and lotteries are indeed very popular with the elderly. But when I visited land-based casinos, it was also common to see elderly people playing different games, especially in the slot machines.

Once our generation gets old I am pretty sure a lot of our gamblers will continue to do their thing online.

No matter you are old or young, you only need money to gamble. If you have your own money to gamble, then nothing will stop from gambling. This holds true for both the young generation and the old generation.

Usually the old people have all their life saving with them, so they can gamble with it too. But i don't know as we grow in age whether the urge in gambling decreases or increases,
This we can only know when we grow old in age  Smiley

Yes, exactly, and indeed I also think the same as you that whether or not someone is addicted cannot be measured by the age factor at all, as you say young or old it doesn't matter, and I think it's more about the person himself, although maybe older people are more mature in terms of thought but that doesn't always make them think more realistically in seeing gambling, there is a chance of winning and if they are very serious about it then obviously whoever it is and whatever age they are they will definitely pursue a victory that is not promising at all.

Of course, not all retirees always have the right mindset as I said above, and it's only right that no one can know what's really on their mind, it's not uncommon that they can think of something even beyond our expectations. So the point is that whether they are addicted or not cannot be measured by who they are, how old they are, only they know what they will do.
Older people often look childish and want to win from gambling, so they will try to win Grin

But people who have gambled should know that gambling can tempt them to continue playing. And if they continue to chase wins, they will experience many losses they would not have expected. It's because they want to win so badly that they keep playing.

We have to determine whether we will continue playing until we are old or whether there is a target age at which we will stop gambling. And for now, it's better to just do what we want. If we still want to gamble, we continue gambling and see what will happen later.

Why not, right? There's no age limit to gambling, as long as you're mature enough (at least 18 years old), you're good to go. If gambling brings you happiness and you see it as entertainment, then sure, I'd keep gambling even if I got older, as long as I'm still financially and mentally capable. These days, you can gamble from the comfort of your own home, right on your phone or computer. It's pretty convenient, and it's a way to keep things interesting as we grow older.
I think I have different opinion from yours and that's because of the factors that should be considered before gambling at old age. I don't think it's an engagement that old people are supposed to get involved in because of how nervous it is to gamble. For instance, whenever one stakes his money, he's always nervous about it on wether he's gonna win his stake or lose it and that is unhealthy for an old man because the anxiety can be too bad for his medical condition. So people should gamble as much as they want but shouldn't continue at old age for the purpose of their health.
I will have to follow your path as well as it shows that you have a very good thought about this. Old age is not what we should take lightly, perhaps experience will change the minds of some people when they eventually reach that level. It's the age at which we should leave the things of the world for the world as much as possible, and gambling is part of what I would never advise old people to engage in, they should rather find a different thing that would keep them occupied if need be. Anything that is mind and mental controlling should be avoided during this age as they could bring some kinds of unplanned shockwaves that will cause further issues.

At this age, people should have no worries anymore but try to live a peaceful life until that glorious call. That is not the age to chase money if you planned and lived a good life. So, it's better we start planning for our old age so that nothing will push us to the extreme of gambling at that resting age.
