I'm past 40 and I'm totally healthy, doing all the things I was doing at 30.
The only thing I'm doing less right now is getting drunk Wink
If you like playing with women then this won't last long because you will stop when you get old because your body won't have the strength to do that. And if you like drinking and getting drunk, then in your old age you won't do that because your body is no longer strong enough to consume alcohol. What is different is that when you are addicted to gambling, you will never stop this activity, where this right is not limited by your age, except if you no longer have money and goods to sell and also no one else trusts you to give you a loan. Maybe you will only realize that the gambling you are doing is detrimental when you have lost everything, including your wealth and family.

Don't just because you are now healthy, when you do that (get drunk) you feel calm. Keep control before something worse happens to you. Likewise gambling activities if you are still doing this.

I can't answer that for sure, it could be that I will stop gambling in the near future. Or, I keep gambling until I'm over 50 or older. I really can't answer that at the moment, because the fact is that even now I still like betting. That's why I'm reluctant to say something that hasn't even happened yet, especially since what we're talking about is the future and when we get older. but believe me, in principle humans are creatures that can change at any time. which means, we can stop in the near future or keep betting until we are old.

For me, it all depends on how we are in the future. We can say in old age whether gambling will still be interesting and enjoyable for us. or, we enjoy the moments with our children and grandchildren more in living this life. So for me humans are creatures that are completely uncertain and can change as we get older, as well as the understanding we gain as we get older.  for now, gambling is still very fun for me, especially football betting. let's just enjoy every moment, but only to be part of the fun entertainment.
Yes, that right, I agree with you all, it difficult to plan and also we will never know what will happen when we are old, whether we will still be able to enjoy the internet and be able to access it like when we were young, even whether we not become senile or forgetful will be problem in old age.
In old age of course everyone wants to enjoy their youth by relaxing and having fun with small things to enjoy the rest of their lives and if we can still keep up with technological developments accessing online gambling will not be a big problem as long as we already have an income or an established business.
So that in old age, even though we will continue to gamble, we will not run out of money because we always have a certain income and I agree that in old age the easiest bet to make sports betting.

I was in the garden this evening and I was think on my bet that I placed on this evening game, then something came into my head like...are you going to gamble even when you are old, or you will quit gambling at a certain age.

There are so many of us that are responsible gamblers and we only gamble to entertain ourselves not for making profit. Since gambling is done for fun, it becomes part of us, this is because we enjoy the fun, and some persons uses it to relieve them after a long day stress at work. We always assign some portion of our income for our gambling activities because it has become a habit in us. I know that some of us hasn't thought of quitting gambling because we are responsible gamblers.

My question is this, will you continue to gamble till old age, or you have planned to stop gambling at a certain age?
I am not referring to addicted gamblers that will learn a hard lesson before the quit, but only responsible gamblers that are taking all prevention measures to addiction.

I will answer first.
I will love to quit gambling when I am 42yrs because I don't want to give gambling much time and I will prefer to look for an alternative means to have fun.

It’s based on your economical status at the old age, because if you work hard and earned good money at the young age. Then you will have huge balance in your bank,It helps you to enjoy the old age with the huge vacations and gambling games. Many people was hard to survive at the old ages because of the lack of the money. So the future oriented saving person can save the money and enjoy their old ages with huge number of gambling game.Being a gambler,I had some savings for the old age gambling games.

There's no age for me that would trigger a response. It's like I were to ask you if you'd be still:
-playing computer games
-riding a bicycle
-driving a car
-using bitcoin
-using bitcointalk
-watching movies
-eating fast food

At the age of 40.

It's not required to be young to be able to bet. For me, I will still be playing as long as I can, even on my death bed if I still can hold my phone I might just be betting on sports matches.  Grin

But seriously the more you need to enjoy life while you are still young. Learn things and travel more, you don't wanna end up like these guys here who waited for old life before they traveled.

40 isnt consider to be old but in this age then it would really be that ideal that you should already be doing stuffs on which it wont really be that affecting your health because we know that health problems
do really come out on the time that you do gets old. This is why it would really be just that ideal that you must live on a healthy way so that later on you wont really be finding yourself on having a
sickly body and we do know that health is wealth. In speaking about involving on different things like those things mentioned above then no one could really stop you and even if we do speak about
gambling then its not something that other peoples business if you do decide on playing on.

We do have our own rights on what are the things that we do tend to engage and since its our money then its none others business on how we should gonna spend it.
The only issue on here is that spending up money which compromising your retirement money is already imposing that huge risks or in concern because
it isnt something that you must do in the first place. You should really be that mindful about securing your funds while you do gets older because we wont really know
on what would happen along the way and having no finances to back you up will surely fuck you up in the end.

Why do you want to quit at the age of 42 years? Is there a specific reason for that? Personally, I don't plan to quit gambling as long as I'm enjoying it. Even if I'm relatively old, I still find gambling to be a fun hobby and a form of entertainment.

IMHO It doesn't matter how old you are; if you can afford it responsibly you can continue to gamble for many years.Smiley)

Age is not a problem in gambling, but if you are wise, you will think that everything is over and now is the time to leave all the pleasures of life. After all, we have experienced it from the most difficult to the easiest, and it will be a memory that will not be forgotten. But if you still decide to gamble when you are old, that is also up to you because gambling or not at all is each person's choice, and everyone has the right to choose.

And it's best if someone can change their thinking as they get older, especially if their children are adults. Perhaps they will see that we are still gambling at our age and advise us to just stop gambling and enjoy our old days well. By stopping gambling, we can avoid many problems that can arise from gambling, and it will also be good for our relationship with our family.

Leaving or not is upto a person and his right, I am agree with this statement but I think that it will be better to use his right in beneficial practice. Once the limit gets increase then person will eventually go towards borrowing money after which I don't think that he will ever leave because firstly this advance will be burden for him and to minimise or finish this burden he will take more frequently in such aspirations.

I often saw that gamblers are not happy with their life but once they initiate it so they cannot move away from it but they wants to go outside but unfortunately due to their condition they cannot do it. Gamblers often advice others to not Involved in gambling because as they ruin their life same will be the conditions of others who are interested in gambling.

I don't have a serious target to quit gambling. I've had addictions in the past, but now I think I'm probably more in control of my gambling problem. when I want to play then I will, perhaps not limiting myself to something that I might break myself in the future. I'm still enjoying this, and as long as it doesn't disrupt my finances, I'll probably continue to enjoy this for a while longer.

Is that a joke? You must be very young if you think that 42 is old age.
Man, I'm nearing the end of my 30s and I don't feel old at all. I know a lot of people in their 40s who do extreme sports, have much younger girlfriends, ride motorcycles, race cars...

40 was an old age in the middle ages when a knight would be unfit to do battle at the age of 40 because he's considered too old, but now, people have babies at the age of 50. Look at Hollywood actors and how they look in their 50s! 40 is not old. Nowadays you're old when you're 70, unless in your country people die at the age of 60, then you should be worried. Where I'm at, people usually die when they're over 80. I've recently talked to a neighbor who's 87 and she still looks healthy and walks by herself.

Of course I'm going to gamble at old age, just as I'm going to remain a bitcoiner forever.

There is no way to know that, I gamble just to obtain some fun out of it, if gambling is still a fun activity that I enjoy even during my old age then it is going to be very unlikely that I will simply abandon it, however if for some reason my attitude towards gambling changed and it was no longer fun for me then I will drop it regardless of my age, however depending on the circumstances you may be forced to abandon gambling earlier regardless of how you feel about gambling itself.

I can say with certainty that all those who commented on this topic who are currently addicted to gambling will say that they will definitely stop gambling when they are of an advanced age. This is not an absolute ruling, but I know that addicts always want to eliminate the idea that they are actually addicted, and they have a patient perception that they will definitely stop gambling and that they can do so, and therefore they will be free from gambling in the future.

This question is like asking "will you have fun until old age or not"? Anyone who has compulsion control would not have a problem with engaging in casual gambling at any age in their life. You might do it ten times a year, once or not at all - moderation is key to most things. If you have ever had a gambling addiction then you might just decide to never touch it again and that would probably be the best strategy for you to overcome it long term. As long as you are mentally competent to assess what you're doing and keep the amounts reasonable in comparison to your income, then it is a fairly harmless activity. If I was very old then you do have to consider if you have the ability to judge the risks, but would probably not derive that much enjoyment from it either.

1. If I'm profitable and have made enough money from gambling there is a reason to quit even before old age and engage myself in other businesses or may even choose to continue because man never stops to earn money if the business is a profitable one.

2. If I'm not profitable in gambling it most likely I will quit before the dam old age, although I have seen elderly ones in my locality that are still into gambling in their late 70s.
There is no profitable gambling, the ratio of losing is greater than winning, try to pay attention to how you bet, is it going to be profitable? I don't think so.
With business it is much healthier to seek profit by engaging in any business until they are old will not leave this job because it is profitable.

This is just a hobby for the sake of fun now as a relatively young age so I am still happy with gambling but already have the intention when I get old I will stop gambling and do other work without going to gambling anymore.
Now many people are too hopeful with gambling to get rich quickly, but that is the wrong mindset.

If you play for fun or as a hobby I don't think there is an age at which you should stop.
I really don't think it makes sense.
Then if you see stopping playing as retiring and therefore a way to have a lot of free time... that's a whole other matter.
Personally I bet for some periods but in some others (in some cases even years) not, I have absolutely no interest...
Gambling is an addiction that sometimes attracts a person even in old age. People who gamble to earn money give it up at a time when they realize that they are suffering financially.  And those who consider gambling as fun may continue to gamble in old age if they can afford to accept and cover their gambling losses. I myself gamble sometimes especially blackjack I am a big fan but I don't play it regularly but 2-3 times a month. I play blackjack with very little money and I enjoy it so I'm not afraid to continue it till my old age. But I am not sure how long I will like them.  Because people's tastes and such change with time and since I'm human it can happen to me too

The world Gambling could mean different things to different sets of individuals, that is, to some, it is a side hustle, whereas to others it is a way of entertainment, but whichever form you may have seen gambling, for me, I think at old age, gambling is the least thing any responsible person should ever think of doing, because at old age, such person is likely to be a father figure, a role model and someone with more responsibilities to handle that you could even have time to think about gambling. Hence, 45 years to 50 years is enough for someone to quit gambling and focus more on taking care of the family (i.e. wife & children).

It is true that I see now that most of the gamblers are from the middle to lower class, it makes sense when I ask what their reasons are that make them survive to always gamble, which is yes as you said above "hoping to win" it is clear, the average of them always bring the same reason like this. This kind of mindset is really very frightening, which is where they see this gambling as a solution to increase their finances through a few wins, honestly I am quite concerned about those who have poor finances but instead enter gambling with unreasonable hopes and mindsets, instead of winning in the end they lose all the money they have, even if they have entered the level of addiction it is very possible that they will let their stomachs starve just to gamble and think that the money they bring can multiply when they win. But the question is, is that right? No, the fact is that gambling is not a place to earn income at all, that's the exact reason why until now there are still many who are down there because of defeat.

Gambling has taken a lot of victims and the average is from the middle to lower class because of the hope factor. So really it's better to change that mindset, this is only limited to entertainment not a place to make a living, I hope you will be careful not to go too far.
that's just the past being a lesson for me, now just focus on earning a living to prioritize family. Yes, even though I still like gambling, now I can control it and don't overdo it like before, now it's just entertainment when a friend invites me to play. Even though I had budgeted the money, it wasn't much. The statement of most brain gamblers who are addicted is that only big hopes are in the brain and nothing else

Well if you have already gone through it I hope you make it a very valuable lesson in your life, and from now on you can start with a better step, I mean walking with the purpose that should be lived, forget all your bad past and never think about trying it again. Of course it's better to focus on making a living from a place or job that makes more sense and guarantees you to get money for sure than you continue to depend on gambling which is clearly only limited to luck and of course there is no certainty in terms of earning.

To be honest, there is actually no prohibition at all for gambling if indeed they have full responsibility for everything that can happen, especially the number of defeats. If you can now control it, it's a good thing because only yourself can help you, other people won't care about your problems there. Agreed, limiting the budget is a very good idea to minimize your losses and besides that you should also limit the time to gamble, because obviously if you still allocate a lot of time there then it is very likely that you will be hooked again. It's just a matter of you getting your hopes up in the wrong place.

It's natural to have a question in your mind, ever since I started using gambling properly I have had an idea to earn from here. But I can't say for sure whether this income will last till old age, but I think most old people will not do such bad things then. We know that betting and gambling is a bad thing when one gets addicted to such bad addiction, the people of the society feel very inferior towards him. That's why I think when an adult is addicted to gambling he chooses casino sites as the main source of income. However, there are many people who take gambling mainly as entertainment, while there are many people who gamble for fun and become addicted. Moreover, most people never stop gambling once they start and aim to make their income from there and make it their main source of income in the future. But if you think you hope to quit gambling at age 42 then it might be good. But you don't spend too much time gambling, I rarely bet, so maybe I'll stop gambling sometime in the future.

This is Just like asking if you will work or earn money till old age.
But there is consideration to this question, I would say it depends on two things
