Gambling is choice and some people when they reach old age will prefer to have fun with their family children or grandchildren in their old age rather than having to play gambling but there are also some older people who still gamble to get rid of boredom and boredom because they may no longer be working and spend more of their daily time resting and staying at home.

Duel Brunnson is poker legend and even at his young age he still has time to participate in several very classy poker tournaments.
I think Duel Brunnson was one of the people who really brought poker to life in him and he couldn't leave poker until the end of his life.

I saw several pictures of he playing on the table wearing a cowboy hat looking very confident.
Of course, this is more suitable for those older people who simply don't have grandchildren and other things to do. Or they see them very rarely, so they have more free time.
Duel was definitely not bored at his advanced age. People were always happy to see him at tournaments; he graced them with his presence. I would love to play with him at the same table, but that won't happen.

In other words, when you are older you will drink alcohol for other reasons than you did at a younger age? Tongue I believe some people think that's how it is, but it implies that everyone has full control over what they do and why they do it. But when only the why in their mind changes and the what stays the same, then the why also never changed. If someone is addicted to something for example and can't ever get rid of it, age really changes nothing. The first question therefore is why someone is doing it. It's not that out of a sudden you do something at the age of 60 that you already did at the age of 20 with an entirely different perspective and approach. For some things that might be true, but it all depends on the why. It is not like someone is sitting at the slot machine and out of a sudden sees things differently with age.  Huh
If a person does not look at things differently with age, then he lacks development. Even in old age he has life experience and wisdom. If a person played slots at the age of 20 and lost under the influence of his emotions and did not control it, then this can still be attributed to youth. But at 60 years old, a player should be less calm and not chase winnings as recklessly as he did at 20 years old. At least I will say for myself that I will not do that.

It probably depends, if you gamble to earn money and are addicted to it, it means that you might be happy gambling but you are doing it because you simply can't get rid of it which means that it's not an integral part of your life. On the other hand, if you gamble just for fun, it totally becomes a choice of whether you keep doing it or not after a certain age. So, if I gamble just for fun, and I grow old having money and having a lot of free time, I don't mind a bit of gambling just to kill time.

However, if I'm addicted to it and I can clearly see that it is turning out to be a curse for me and my life, I would obviously not want to continue it if I manage to get rid of the addiction because you wouldn't want to ruin your own life with your own hands, and when you are an addicted gambler and if you keep gambling, you will most probably become broke by the time you grow old.

I was in the garden this evening and I was think on my bet that I placed on this evening game, then something came into my head like...are you going to gamble even when you are old, or you will quit gambling at a certain age.

I don't know, it's even very possible for me to ruin that plan if I choose one of the two options. You can plan to stop gambling at a certain age, but in my opinion the best thing is to change your mindset about gambling. Make gambling just a way for you to have fun, not gamble for money and in my opinion that is a simple mindset that can keep you away from a lot of problems.
It is better gambling should be seen as fun so that even at old age, one can gamble to pass time, since it is a way to keep your nody and soul lively at old age. I will continue to gamble even at old age because I enjoy the dun in it and at old age one will be more lonely than when you are young that one can move around to visit friends and have all sort of fun.

It will be a problem when at old age someone is gambling to make profit because it will be not be good for his health as it will lead to high blood pressure and maybe heart failure, but if it is done for fun, it can make you live long because of the pleasure that you enjoy from it.

There is no stipulated age for a gambler to quit totally, it all depends on the individual involved, note gambling is addictive, so stopping will be a Very difficult task. Remember that there are people to depend on gambling, do you expect this set of persons to quit gambling anytime soon, I don't think that's possible, what I see here is, an individual decision and it takes a high level of discipline to stop, for me I can give it a break but I can't tell if I will gamble to old age or not because this can be challenging.

I think aging actually encourages more and more gambling. As you age over time you have more funds to use at casinos. When you can afford to lose more money you will gamble more so. I don't think retirement will stop people to gamble. In my country many over 50-60 people move to regions or countries that allows physical casinos just to have fun. I observe this for 10-15 years in my life. Its no different for me. When I was younger I would gamble less.

It is better we enjoy it now while it last because when we ge to old age, the strength, vigour, enthusiast and excitements and fun in it couldn't be compared to the time when we were still young, the older we go the more the reduction in what we do or have mind with, everything has it own time and it's specific duration, an old man should use the little money he has or earned to maintain his living and eat well and not to be gambling with it.
Of course, as long as gambling still exists and we are comfortable doing it, it will feel comfortable and enjoyable without it feeling like a burden in our lives for sure.
Yes, it is possible that in old age the passion for gambling will increasingly disappear. Therefore, if at a young age you often gamble and sometimes win, then what you should think about is investing, namely using some of the money from gambling to meet your needs in old age. Even though it is very difficult to do, such thoughts must be there and must be done as much as possible by gamblers.

and some persons uses it to relieve them after a long day stress at work.

Really? Because gambling is naturally unpredictable, and this unpredictability can be a huge source of anxiety. I mean the uncertainty of whether you'll win or lose can keep you so much on edge, which is the exact opposite of relaxation/stress relief.

My question is this, will you continue to gamble till old age, or you have planned to stop gambling at a certain age?

I will answer first.
I will love to quit gambling when I am 42yrs because I don't want to give gambling much time and I will prefer to look for an alternative means to have fun.

If truly you do it for fun then why would you ever want to stop having fun? Unless you find it unhealthy in one way or the other.

Even old people still gamble so stopping gambling at a specific age doesn't really matter much because if you have a healthy habit to your gambling then it's actually okay to gamble even in your old age because over here alot of old guys do gamble although I don't actually know the scale at which they do go with their gambling habit but I think they certainly don't gamble for the money anymore at this type of advance age.

I'll probably stop once I'm no longer feeling the thrill of gambling. As a matter of fact, I tend to spend lesser time on sports betting sites and just watching the games that I care about without thinking of betting on it. I guess at a certain point, you will no loner want to chase the win for yourself and just wish your favorite team to win regardless of your bet. For casino games, I no longer 'crave' playing dice every weekend, and have since settled with a more relaxed hobby that doesn't cost that much.

I don't mind keeping my gambling habit till the old age.  For me it is one of the entertainment that remove my stress after a long week work.  I do not go out and watch movies or have some outside fun activity because I don't feel like going out where there is a huge present of people after experiencing the pandemic.

As long as I am able to control myself and gambling do not affect my finance negatively, I will keep on gambling and have fun playing in a gambling platform till old age.

It never crossed my mind, at what age should i stop gambling because i feel that gambling does not interfere with my life at all, i have been gambling for almost half my life so it is no longer possible to stop, all this time my money has come and gone, It's not a problem at all as long as i'm entertained.  i noticed that no intelligent gambler and responsible gambler went bankrupt (they will not sell their valuables or make loans to use as gambling capital), only gambling addicts and greedy gamblers went bankrupt.

It is true that I see now that most of the gamblers are from the middle to lower class, it makes sense when I ask what their reasons are that make them survive to always gamble, which is yes as you said above "hoping to win" it is clear, the average of them always bring the same reason like this. This kind of mindset is really very frightening, which is where they see this gambling as a solution to increase their finances through a few wins, honestly I am quite concerned about those who have poor finances but instead enter gambling with unreasonable hopes and mindsets, instead of winning in the end they lose all the money they have, even if they have entered the level of addiction it is very possible that they will let their stomachs starve just to gamble and think that the money they bring can multiply when they win. But the question is, is that right? No, the fact is that gambling is not a place to earn income at all, that's the exact reason why until now there are still many who are down there because of defeat.

Gambling has taken a lot of victims and the average is from the middle to lower class because of the hope factor. So really it's better to change that mindset, this is only limited to entertainment not a place to make a living, I hope you will be careful not to go too far.
that's just the past being a lesson for me, now just focus on earning a living to prioritize family. Yes, even though I still like gambling, now I can control it and don't overdo it like before, now it's just entertainment when a friend invites me to play. Even though I had budgeted the money, it wasn't much. The statement of most brain gamblers who are addicted is that only big hopes are in the brain and nothing else

Well if you have already gone through it I hope you make it a very valuable lesson in your life, and from now on you can start with a better step, I mean walking with the purpose that should be lived, forget all your bad past and never think about trying it again. Of course it's better to focus on making a living from a place or job that makes more sense and guarantees you to get money for sure than you continue to depend on gambling which is clearly only limited to luck and of course there is no certainty in terms of earning.

To be honest, there is actually no prohibition at all for gambling if indeed they have full responsibility for everything that can happen, especially the number of defeats. If you can now control it, it's a good thing because only yourself can help you, other people won't care about your problems there. Agreed, limiting the budget is a very good idea to minimize your losses and besides that you should also limit the time to gamble, because obviously if you still allocate a lot of time there then it is very likely that you will be hooked again. It's just a matter of you getting your hopes up in the wrong place.
It's true, the people around me won't care about the problems I'm experiencing, everyone will stay away, the lessons of this broken life will become a solid foundation for me not wanting this to happen again. For example, if you have the ambition to gamble, you must have a static strategy, don't just be too passionate just because you are chasing victory. if you can't control control over and over again destruction is getting closer like me

If we truly take gambling for what it is which is for fun,  then the majority of us here will be gambling even in old age because that is when we have time to do all the fun-seeking things that the battle for survival may not allow us to do right know, we have a lot of people with so many plans for the old age and for sure we must take pro consciousness important phase of our life since at old age a lot of things will already change around us.

But. If I found out that gambling is taking a lot from me at this age such as addiction tendency then I would not want to go close to it when I am old and the same applies to other activities that I may find interesting in the now and the future.

I definitely have plans to stop gambling but I can’t pinpoint as to what certain age I’m gonna stop. One thing I know, I can’t afford anymore taking the risk in gambling especially that when I reach retirement age, I have no job anymore but only depend on my pension if ever. So gambling will only be good today but in the future, I know I need to invest my money more than gambling it and use it for entertainment. That’s why right now I am enjoying gambling because sooner or later, I know I have to stop doing it already since my priorities that time will also vary.
At least, we have this plan and it is good enough, so it will not make us dependent or addicted to gambling. Because being aware of the conditions when gambling is enough to give us sanity and self-awareness with the conditions that exist in us, and this is quite capable of preventing us from gambling. with addicts.

Regarding stopping gambling, everyone probably also has these plans. Personally, I probably won't do it in my old age, especially since gambling is high risk and I don't want to get stressed because of gambling. Yes, you could say I'm not a high risk taker, so this decision is quite reasonable. Therefore, I have to continue to be self-aware and not be tied to gambling or become an addicted gambler.

I will quite gambling when I do not see it as fun again. If I do not derive any fun from gambling, then why I mine gambling. This is not by age or anything than the fun that I am having when I am gambling.

If I have grown up, maybe I will quit gambling but I do not think so, especially if I still have the fun when I am doing it.
We can always experience fun in gambling as long as we don’t see it more of a source of income. That even if we are losing, that won’t matter as long as we get the fun and got entertained. But I also think when the time comes that I’m no longer capable to work anymore and my source of income will be limited, I don’t think I will still be able to gamble and look for fun. For me, gambling will only waste my money and effort by that time, instead I just spend my money on things that are more worthy than to spend it in gambling wherein only me gets satisfied.
Hmm I don't know about gambling in the old age but over here in my place I have seen alot of old guys that actually don't have anything doing again and they actually use gambling as an escape route to their problems. Gambling is all the rage here in Nigeria and many old folks have taken it as a day job it's actually quite funny if you get to see this from the perspective am actually driving at because you will actually get confused on the main purpose of gambling.
Same here on my place on which old people do love and hanging out with other oldies on playing some card games and some cockfighting. lol. Speaking of fun then it would really be not a problem.
All of the possible gambling games that we do have on this market is really that something that you can deal with as long you do have the money then its none others business on what are the things that you would really be getting involved with. Dont mind others words or comments that youre old but still doing gambling? Its none of their f%cking business on what you would gonna do with your money.

Its true somewhat that there are other ways that you could really be able to entertain yourself whether on gambling or on some physical activities on which you could really be making yourself do enjoy.
Just dont make yourself that be limit on things which arent really that making you move or exercised which we do know that we do have a body which is becoming that gradually brittle or something
that do easily get some health issues and this is why it would really be that relevant on making such choice.

This is Just like asking if you will work or earn money till old age.
But there is consideration to this question, I would say it depends on two things

1. If I'm profitable and have made enough money from gambling there is a reason to quit even before old age and engage myself in other businesses or may even choose to continue because man never stops to earn money if the business is a profitable one.

2. If I'm not profitable in gambling it most likely I will quit before the dam old age, although I have seen elderly ones in my locality that are still into gambling in their late 70s.

Well, if you stay profitable in gambling till old age, then why bother to stop? You can use that profits to build investments as well, but make sure to always put limits when you are gambling so that your investment profits will never be at risk. However, the problem here is that we can’t guarantee consistent profits from gambling. What is certain is that we will be exposed to more losses than winnings at some point. That is why if you can’t afford to lose anymore when you reach old age, it’s better to just stop gambling and focus on your investment or business that will surely give you passive income.
