Actually, I don't plan to gamble at all, if I feel I want to then I will whether it's 30 or 60 as far as I can afford to gamble. I have no idea how my old age will be, and thinking about gambling at that time wasn't even in my teeny-tiny thoughts.

Don't bother yourself with such deep thoughts now which you can figure it out at that time depending on how you want it to be. Cheesy

It's a good thinking that you are considering if you can afford to gamble or not despite what age bracket you will be on. It's important to take things into consideration before planning and making a decision so you won't regret a thing later on. Additionally, it's best to be financially capable the moment you bet and play, regardless of age, but of course, not being underage or below age limit. Just be prepared so when the time comes, you still have so much to spare for gambling. Work your ass off now, then relax and enjoy your heart out later. It's better to have delayed gratification than to enjoy now and suffer later.

I think that at an advanced age, greed fades into the background, and interest comes to the fore. There is no that crazy excitement that I had at a young age. I want to understand all the intricacies of the game without rushing anywhere. You can remember the poker legend Duel Brunnson, who played until he was almost 89 years old, it’s a pity that he passed away this year (I always admired him, looking at him I think that I will play for just as long. Of course, the brain will not think as quickly as that of young people, but wisdom and measuredness combined with experience over many years can also yield positive results.

It depends on the conditions that I will experience in the future, if currently I am still comfortable gambling and there are no burdens in my life of course I will continue to gamble even though I don't know how long I will stop and age is not yet an expectation. benchmark for me to just stop.
The most important thing is to know the limits in gambling, including time limits and limits on bets to be played. Apart from that, we also have to have useful activities or hobbies so that we don't just gamble and don't become addicted.

At old age yo have the liberty to so much, such as more free time and sometimes more residual income as your expenses may have reduced due to the fact that your bills may be shoulder by your kids, this is for those who has gat grown up kids who are now financially independent and capable enough to take care of themselves and their parents aswell.

You will have enough time to watch games and aswell analyse them because most probably you you have more free time especially if you have actually retired from work, but the fear will be if your interest for all these will still be there as so much would have changed by then, this may include the players you know most of them may have retired and you will see mostly new generation players which may not really catch your interest so you may not really have the fun on these things again.

For those who are businesses owners, CEO'S they may not really have that liberty of time even at old age except they will decide to retire and hand over their business to some one they have appointed or maybe their children then they can have all the time and freedom to possibly watch games and gamble but personally I don't think I will still be interested in gambling as my fun taste would have changed by then and I will find fun in doing some other things.

As long as you still have money and play responsibly that's good because most people play irresponsibly so they easily follow their emotions and are always greedy in playing, that's why it will be difficult to stop this behavior if it is not accompanied by feelings of responsibility, for example playing with wisely set a budget for gambling and limit the budget when to stop gambling.

I also often feel like that when I feel like I'm really enjoying the game, sometimes I forget to stop playing, but it still hasn't reached my weekly gambling budget limit, so I often forget myself when gambling and I'm sure everyone has felt the same way. that, but as long as you can control yourself and play responsibly there won't be any problems.
Yes, you are right and that is why I am still learning to be a responsible gambler because that is the only thing I can do to prevent greed or future losses. Playing gambling wisely is necessary for every gambler so that we will not experience any problems and can still enjoy gambling games.

I have experienced gambling to the point where I often forget to stop, making me lose several dollars. And that makes me really have to remember when to stop so I can reduce the number of losses I lose. And by continuing to learn to control myself, I can still survive gambling without experiencing any serious problems. But in the future, I think there will be time for me to stop gambling and I think I can still enjoy gambling.

I think I will continue at the age of 50-60 for sure because at that age you have more free time than before.
I also know myself that gambling is just a habit for me, I didn't reach the point where I became addicted to it,
I have self-discipline so I think I will continue gambling. My uncle is doing the same thing now, he is still gambling even though he is 54 and they just let him because they know that it is really just a habit of my uncle's
but it still depends on whether I'm still healthy or not.
Anything that starts from human interest turns into habit. I don't think he would have a gambling problem if he wasn't addicted. A older age needs entertainment so that he can be freed from other thoughts. If an old man spends time gambling I think he will live a better life if he is not greedy for money. I know many older people who like Spots Bets as the games are played over a long period of time so the gamblers enjoy the game along with the excitement of the bet which increases the gambler's focus on the game and makes the game enjoyable. But it is not possible to say that this will happen in all cases. Addicts will be adversely affected.

My question is this, will you continue to gamble till old age, or you have planned to stop gambling at a certain age?
I am not referring to addicted gamblers that will learn a hard lesson before the quit, but only responsible gamblers that are taking all prevention measures to addiction.

I will answer first.
I will love to quit gambling when I am 42yrs because I don't want to give gambling much time and I will prefer to look for an alternative means to have fun.

I've seen a lot of old gamblers in a traditional based casinos, I mean those who are in wheelchair or the health is not that good. So perhaps for them they did everything they can during their prime years to accumulate wealth and they work hard for it. But now that they are in the sunset of their lives maybe they think that they want to enjoy it to the fullest, including going to casinos and play with their families or even paid nurses to accompany them. Could be one way to relieved themselves with the boredom. I also don't know if there is a study about the older generation getting into gambling and what positive things it can bring to them? As for me, maybe, maybe not. Perhaps if I also amassed some wealth in the next decade or so and retire then I will go and play. But if not, then just play occasionally, but most of the time I will spend my time with my families. Just learn to prioritized things and just put aside some money to gamble for enjoyment.

yes it's true what you said about the number of people who are old and in wheelchairs or with not so good health, everyone has their own way of getting pleasure for themselves and maybe the people you mean include people whose pleasure is in casinos not elsewhere, in my opinion it is people who have been addicted to gambling when they are young until they are elderly, do you think the same?

As you said learning to prioritize things for pleasure, maybe for the elderly gamblers that's where and that's the only pleasure they can get, whether it's playing or just watching others play.

I personally don't have many problems with age when participating in betting games, as long as the player can meet the expectations to be able to perform the behavior.
I remember playing childish games as a child, and now there are many ways to entertain and gambling is a small part, so instead of choosing to get a set of clothes from a wardrobe filled with a lot of clothes. So feel free to choose, everything is still yours.

It's possible to quit gambling if you are not already an addicted gambler, as my good turns to better in the future I might see no reason to go back into gambling, maybe once in a while compared to weekly gambling.
there is no need to put specific time because if you will be having that mindset then  surely you will know when and where to play.

Also at a old age, you should be enjoying the rest of days with your retirement fund, gambling at a old age doesn't looks cool for me, and since gambling knows no age I believe many people won't see any reason to quit.
correct, in our old days we must explore the outside world, we must take out of our comfort zone , and will enjoy everything that will fir us physically.
Quote
If people can quit their jobs to enjoy their old ages then gambling should be one of the easiest thing to quit, a fact about gambling still stands, it's all about making more money, either you gamble weekly, or more, fun is just a tip part of gambling, but for many gamblers, they want to see how lucky they can get.
wrong , if people that does not involving themselves into serious gambling then you are correct.
but if they are to close to gambling then it is not that easy.

If you know how to manage your finances very well, you can decide to quit anything or do anything you like.

this is an individual decision but since you said its categorically for those doing for fun then i dont think anything is bad with it once you have the money to do that. old age shouldnt be a barrier if you really to do it for fun, thats even the time you want to make yourself happy the most. but also dont forget that things can change and anything can happen and anyone can decide to play or stop at anytime.

Will it be so easy to find an alternative means to have fun at that age. Because it is so far into the future, you may not find the activities of that time fun at all. They will not excite you like what you are used to. With Old age, you may just outgrow gambling as an activity that you realize to be too old for, just like some other things we have had to stop because we discovered that we are too old for it. Gambling will be harder to stop later because as it develops, it is becoming more interesting and difficult to quit.

It all depends on the lifestyle and the personal financial situation. I personally have the interest to spend on gambling, but during our old-age we won't be getting much of time to think about gambling. We'll looking on more other responsibilities, particularly the grand children and health. Another thing, gambling always need strategy development, analysis and knowledge when it comes to sports betting. During old age this and all won't be the priority and we might spend just for time pass. For everyone there used to be some kind of addiction and at the old age this shouldn't be a problem. It is time to take rest and enjoy with the pension benefits. Gambling is not about the age, but there'll be transition in the way we spent.

I agree that in the old age you will have a lot of time watching the matches and betting on them or playing the casino games with more dedication as we have a lot more free time but there is one big concern and that is money.

Usually when we get old, we get retired from whatever we were doing and this is more of a concern for the person who were doing jobs and getting monthly salaries. Now in the old age we do not have a reliable source of income and this could be a big hurdle for us to engage in gambling activities.

Now my question to all those who are favoring the gambling in the old age where will you generate the funds for the
gambling ?
At old age, you tend to spend less on many items. You might not have so much interest in trending clothing, phones, or other things. And you don't also have any dependant when you are old, expenses on children's school fees, feeding and other will no longer exist. Some of the issues that the elderly spend money on are medication and diet. If they are given free medical or they are healthy, it will make them save more money from their low earnings.  That little pension might be enough to take care of your needs and you can still have little to gamble with.

In my location,  financially stable children are expected to take care of their aged parents. As a child,  I was well aware that my grandparents usually possessed large amounts from the monetary gifts they received from our parents. They sometimes lavish the money on their grandchildren. Currently, my parents are gradually entering the same phase because their expenses are gradually decreasing. I was surprised when my mother offered me a noncollateral loan from her pension.

There are some people who have a lot of income and it will be right if they gamble. There are some people who have very little income and gambling will not be right. Gambling requires a lot of money and time. But not everyone has it. Those who gamble  After getting addicted, they never have peace in their lives. Because they sell all their possessions to raise money for gambling. I sometimes gamble to spend my free time. But when I see myself getting more addicted to gambling, I try to stay away from gambling.
People who live barely enough when they first start gambling will find it difficult to stay away from it, they hope that like others, when they get big money from gambling, this will attract the attention of various people. I have experienced something similar in the past when hopes were high like the others but on the contrary, it was a good experience to learn from. Now playing gambling is just to enjoy fun or entertainment, not the main thing is to make money
I would assume that you could just make sure that you are gambling in a limited manner and that could go on for a long time. I can give you myself as an example and I can tell you that I have been gambling for a while now, it has been a few years that I have been limiting and if I can keep doing this for years then I will be able to keep gambling until I am old.

Obviously if anything changes, like me starting to play a lot more then I may have to stop, or if I get even poorer which we do not know what life would show, then yeah I would have to stop that too. So long story short, there are situations where this is possible but not all of them would be the same as every other situation without a doubt.

I was in the garden this evening and I was think on my bet that I placed on this evening game, then something came into my head like...are you going to gamble even when you are old, or you will quit gambling at a certain age.

There are so many of us that are responsible gamblers and we only gamble to entertain ourselves not for making profit. Since gambling is done for fun, it becomes part of us, this is because we enjoy the fun, and some persons uses it to relieve them after a long day stress at work. We always assign some portion of our income for our gambling activities because it has become a habit in us. I know that some of us hasn't thought of quitting gambling because we are responsible gamblers.

My question is this, will you continue to gamble till old age, or you have planned to stop gambling at a certain age?

I will love to quit gambling when I am 42yrs because I don't want to give gambling much time and I will prefer to look for an alternative means to have fun.
Doing gambling responsibly is only for those who gamble to find pleasure in gambling it will be very easy for them to leave the gambling habit because they are not addicted to gambling, but for those who have experienced gambling addiction, it will take a long process to stop the gambling habit they. Yes you are right, only responsible gamblers can stop their gambling activities whenever they want. I will not gamble past the age of 40, I will stop gambling when I reach the age of 38 and look for other pleasures to relieve stress.
Having that control would really be definitely be that different whether you are already that old age or not, not all does have that kind of control towards gambling on yet there are even old people who do still that really

that impulsive when it comes to their treatment towards gambling on which it is really just that right that they should really be that careful when it comes to engaging specially if you are that someone whose
really that very that impulsive when it comes to this matter. If you do see that your arent that addicted and could simply stop and go on playing gambling then it should be fine. Usually when we are on this
age situation on which you would really be that mainly thinking about relaxation and relieving out stress which you might consider it out that it wont do any harm but of course its something that different
because gambling addiction is something a problem that cant really be solve out so easily.

Playing gambling isnt bad despite of being old, as long you do find yourself that responsible and could really be able to handle yourself well then it wont really be that a problem i would say.

Pension? I would those guys do have 401k which they can survive alone or pay for the nursing home. In the nursing home, you won't be able to gamble there. The nursing home will take all your money.

42 is still young to retire. I may never really promise to quit at such an age. If I see an opportunity in sports matches I will still be able to just bet and watch the game. There is no need to retire as being a fan of a sport never stops. But maybe I will quit playing the casino games.

My question is this, will you continue to gamble till old age, or you have planned to stop gambling at a certain age?
I don't see gambling as a source of revenue so I play games just because of fun. I have never had any health challenges because I lost large sums, this is because gambling has never been a financial source and my bets have never affected my finances negatively. Old age will not stop me from gambling because it is just fun for me. In old age, I will even have more time to properly analyze games and enjoy myself. I will have more time to watch more sports games and learn new sports. Retirement will bring boredom, and gambling can be part of my entertainment schedule.
