Hello everyone!

Recently, I was thinkig. Is there really any reason for the BTC to be the market leader? The only thing that is giving the value to BTC is pretty much the fact, that it was the first crypto currency. It is the grandfather of all cryptos. But we know it has its flaws... It was never designed for broad usage, it has scaling issues and so on.

On the other hand, we were given ETH. The Crypto Kitties or w/e the awesome internet meme ETH appliction is called showed us, that ETH network has issues with high amounts of usage. BUT, 90% of all altcoins are based on the ERC-20 standard, brought to us by ETH. The smart contracts using the Solidity are extremly good piece of technolgy.

So my question is. Do you think, that BTC will keep its leadership, or will ETH be the winner of this year and surpass its ancestor?

Btc is the winner of all times let's say that all altcoins is based on the erc-20 wallet which is the token is ethereum, but if you'll convert it you'll passing by btc to exchange your token to money.

if I see, BTC will maintain its leadership this year even for the next year even though in reality all altcoins are based on the ERC-20 standard with excellent smart contacts.

It seems that this year there will be no winners in the market for crypto currency. All the crypto currency shows not the best results. Now the price of bitcoin is only 5 982 dollars, and ethereum - 265 dollars. This was not long ago. Even if the market rises by the end of the year, it is unlikely that it will be a big increase. No one altcoin can stop how increase of bitcoin price, bitcoin is main of altcoin and have more higher price than all of altcoin. Always have one way to stop bitcoin is created new altcoin have higher price than altcoin, but so far no one altcoin can do it.

I still dont see the fact who is the winner for these year. Because this two coins as of now is in a competition to being the lowest price of the moment. But there are still months left before this year ends. We can see it before the year ends.

The possibility of ethereum outside of bitcoin can occur but not in the near future. I think bitcoin this year will still be a winner, because the difference in bitcoin prices with ethereum is very far, and bitcoin is more traded and many people see bitcoin as a store of favorite values and transactions.

I would take btc as the best for all coins and it has all fundamentals that this coins is irreplaceable alts are keep being an alts. Ethereum is good but it can't replace bitcoin.

ETH does have a pretty good development but not enough to shift bitcoin. I think Bitcon will always be a winner and become the No.1 coin in crypto because Bitcoin is the main coin in crypto.

I believe bitcoin is still the king in the cryptocurrency market in the next few years. Currently, there are not any altcoins that are sufficiently influential and capable of replacing bitcoin. Ethereum is a pretty platform for many altcoins to use but you can see a lot of platforms that rivals the current ethereum like NEO, EOS, ADA very potential.
The market share between the platforms is quite fierce, but altcoins are generally all based on the value of Bitcoin. So, there are not any good candidates that can replace bitcoin. Wink
