Many people are discussing this issue. I think we can observe them. In terms of cryptocurrency market usage, ETH has reached Bitcoin level, but from a global perspective, Bitcoin still exceeds ETH. , because their user base is not the same!
If viewed from the technology in use between the two coins is definitely better ETH because the technology is more modern than the btc. btc can reach a high price because the first coin btc is used for crypto transactions. I judge more from technology than the price of the coin.
It is always BTC and Ethereum is always the second largest in terms of price and market cap. Bitcoin is the king of all crypto currency and it will sustain its position as the number one crypto now and forever, no crypto can even come near in price or market cap even Ethereum for that matter. I strongly believe Bitcoin is the topmost all the time.
Although there's no actual competition between these two coins,that should have a one proclaimed winner when the year ends... For me,ethereum couldn't beat the bitcoin.
Looking to the price bitcoin is always winner.but in comparison for me Eth is winner.though market is down,Eth shows some sun shine but BTC remain the same & people lost their hope in BTC
The question is a little vague. Both are great coins for different purposes. What is considered a win?
I think it will always be the bitcoin is the winner this year,ethereum will still the number two.They are bith god and profutable coins but its too early to decide
I think it's still BTC. Although Ethereum has good technology, it's only one of the best things it has done so far. If it's not innovative, it still can't get beyond Bitcoin!
for a while I think the token etherium I currently think is the winner because I see the token etherium movement now faster than bitcoin. and this also I think is the factor that makes bitcoin will take longer to rise or recover to previous price.
If you are student of history, BTC is not the first digital currency, but it is the fisrt successful Crypto, you mentioned ethereum, but there are many coins in the space competing and claiming to be better than BTC, so is ethereum now have many coins on its toes claiming to be better than what Ethereum have to offer
depending on whether the bitcoin has a lighting networking start, and the etherium has a casper.If someone first solves the problem of scalability - he will be the winner!
It would be too early to judge who will overtake and who will top the rating, but I think that this year EET will not overtake the military-technical cooperation. He can not even compare with it in price.

The year still has 5.5 months left and considering this and looking at the past trends btc should be clear winner and will make even new high than ever in this year. Only thing that is required is some couple of good news form some countries like started accepting or made it legal etc and we are then all set for a quick uptrend.
To be honest, I like Ethereum more than Bitcoin. I consider bitcoin as gold, which is stored in my cell. And Ethereum is an asset, a crypto asset that is in demand today and at all times.

Both currencies are similar in which it decreases at lower range in this year 2018 ,but I believe it will bounceback again in both parties because this is the most potential currency and the most higher rank .In my option I choose bitcoin because this currency is outstanding last year and still no one can surpass in prices.

This year there will be no winners. There will be only losers. Therefore, the question is incorrectly posed. But if you consider that the etherium depends entirely on bitcoin (and the entire cryptomarket), then I would say that bitcoin will win.
In terms of progress - that was definitely a year of Ethereum, it mamaged to cut the gap berween and bring many new users. ERC20 tokens will also be used for a very long time, so ETH rooted deeper in the crypto industry
Bitcoin will always be an unique among all the cryptocurrency whether it be ETH or NEO or Litecoin. Because of it's unique features Bitcoin transactions happened in billions everyday. If, Bitcoin tumble then all other coin also go down because of a market index like behaviour of Bitcoin.
