This is the height of it all. We have had men do all sought of silly things because of how addicted they are with gambling but i have never heard of trading a full fleshed human being just for the interest of satisfying gambling pleasure. This is why i don't really find it funny seeing my gender involved in gambling because females are always desperate and the don't mind going any length to satisfy their quest

It is the story of a woman who abandons her 4-year-old child after using him as collateral and sustaining huge losses. Firstly, I am shocked because it is the male gender who have been known to go to any lengths to satisfy their gambling addiction.
Addiction does not have a gender and there is no discrimination on the extremes one can go when they are desperate, so do not categories people in the name of gender.

In addition, I wonder what would have moved the woman in this case to do this kind of thing. My assessment is that this is simply a case of irresponsible parenting and problem gambling. How do you think about this?
The audacity that they accept a child as a collateral blows my mind and it is time the authorities have to take some action against these gambling institutions for accepting a child as collateral.

That is extremely rude, and the mother should be held legally liable on whatever happens on her son. Most probably the 4-year old son would be put to use in some kind of labor or whatever that the owner of the casino deem fit. The mother is so far into gambling that she consciously made the decision to leave and use her son as a collateral, and that is already a tell-tale sign that the mother has something going on with her mind. On the part of the gambling platform however, they should also be fined for accepting the kid for collateral because that can also be considered as human trafficking.

The woman is suffering from chronic gambling addiction and she should also go through mental examination because she is mentally unstable. This is the highest form of parental irresponsibility and in recent times we have continued to see parents that have no respect for parenthood. She should be arrested and taken to an addiction control centre for proper medication.

The gambling firm or house should also be sanctioned. How would they accept a human as a collateral? Thia is equivalent to slavery. They have violated the fundamental right of the child and they should be charged for infringement of child right.

Things like this, maybe not as extreme as this is why KYC is required. Not only is it to provide you with better offers, via marketing. It's also to do background checks, and therefore affordability checks. Since, I imagine gambling websites get burnt with fraudulent deposits a lot.

It could've ended badly for them too so I'm surprised they would seriously accept such a "trade". Or maybe they wanted to take the child away from the mother or get her to get help by taking them away and getting her to collect them from a police station.
I'm assuming they contacted the authorities, and to be honest I think it's safe to say letting the child stay with you, instead of allowing the mother to take it back after trying to put it up for collateral is probably the safest approach, since clearly she isn't a good mother.

I'm not sure I fully believe this story though, I just can't fathom of something like this happens.

after she incurred a huge loss she couldn’t offset.

Here the question is how she get in that debt, and why the casino let her play with debt?

If the woman didn't had the money to gamble, then from my point of view the fault was from the casino for letting her play.

And leave a child as collateral is a really cruel move, the place shouldn't allow her to do that. All was wrong in this history.

She should not have been allowed to continue playing when she has already accumulated huge losses and now had a debt hanging on her neck.
She’s pretty irresponsible using her child as a collateral and the gambling shop is pretty dumb to have accepted such a collateral.
The woman should check into a rehab to check her gambling habit

Also, i'm surprised that the gambling shop accepted the woman's deal in the first place as I think it could've been avoided if they didn't take the collateral but maybe the guys from the gambling shop are desperate to make money.

This is the height of it, making the innocent child suffer for her own irresponsibility. The child should be taking into government care and such a mother if found should be arrested and taking to rehabilitation. I wonder what her intention was, maybe that the child should be held by the gambling shop to repay the equivalent of the money lost in labor.

I doubt a 4 year old is going to be very productive working in a gambling shop. They probably did the right thing handing them over to the police (as long as they can have a positive effect from there).

How do you think about this?
It's definitely irresponsible for a mother to leave her child due to a huge loss and what's the range of the amount for her to do that kind of thing? I feel bad for the kid since no one deserves that kind of parent and I hope they find the mother and let her face the consequences. Also, i'm surprised that the gambling shop accepted the woman's deal in the first place as I think it could've been avoided if they didn't take the collateral but maybe the guys from the gambling shop are desperate to make money.

While some people are looking for children of their own, some others do not value what they have.
My assessment is that this is simply a case of irresponsible parenting and problem gambling. How do you think about this?

Gamble responsibly
My assessment is that this is simply a case of irresponsible parenting and problem gambling. How do you think about this?
Yes, irresponsible parenting. The woman is not responsible at all. But the woman would be found because likely she would be gambling in an area close to where she is living or close to her working place  where people would know him.

I think the woman is tired of her life with the child, or maybe not.

If people do not know the woman, that means she is from a far place and have no other mission than to sell the child or something, but she used her child to gamble instead. If this is what that happened, that means this is not about gambling or gambling addiction, but a mother that does not want her child again. But who will do such a thing? To let a woman use her son as collateral and he does not know her? So I go with my first opinion.

People who are addicted to gambling have done crazy things as a result of their addiction. Nonetheless, I never imagined reading a story as unbelievable as this.
