I'm surprised not many people are mentioning Gox.

My biggest mistake is having sold btc on PayPal.

Not too bad, actually a learning experience, was receiving tons of dust from faucets. When I went to send them I couldn't because of the fees involved for such large transactions. Also, gambled on SatoshiDice.

1.) not buying when i first heard about btc and the price was 15 cents each...
2.) when I eventually did accumulate a little btc (paying between 20-100$) "investing" a lot of it in btc securities... activemining, labcoin, even ASIC miner... I lost everything I wagered.

expensive lessons. Im still slowly accumulating btc, but I would already be rich if I simply hodled.

Oh man, I feel you. This is horrible and I hope you won't lose any Bitcoin. Better to take no risk with your coins at all.
Just hold your BTC and buy more if you have some "pocket money". I'm sure you will make it at least all back if you hold it for a long time. Bitcoin will go up. This is what I think and it's really possible. I hope for the same price like in 2013, it was $1200.
I have enough BTC to live good if it goes to this amount, so I really hope for it. Anyway, if Bitcoin goes to $10, I would be very poor compared to today's price. Never invest high amounts of BTC in things like cloud mining and ponzi schemes.

My biggest mistake was that I got into bitcoins very late as firstly I was not having faith in it and I believed its just an Scam as I was not aware how it works or how it is useful as a currency and then when I started using bitcoins the very first payment I made was to a wrong address which never recovered  Huh

Not buying enough in the right time, maybe.

But the biggest one once I got the coins was sport betting a bit more than I could afford to lose once or twice, but I recovered

My worst mistake with bitcoin was buying a lot at over 500 USD. I've been buying all the way down since then but id only I'd waited a number of months I could have saved a whole lot of fiat.

Hopefully we go to the moon though in the distant future & I won't care.

A man just sold his house and went "all-in" when the price is around $600. That is even worse than your worst lol.

But maybe that would result to an even more positive outcome. The future is bright for bitcoin. It will pay off soon. Hindsight is 20/20.

Not sticking with it sooner when I first heard about it.  I was already a late starter coming into the bitcoin world in 2010.  But I was discouraged because it didn't seem like I could ever attain any bitcoin and I was unwilling to look into gear or equipment at that time.  When I finally did pursue equipment it was in 2013 and I was chasing it too much.  Never a good thing to chase.

worst mistake that i was made in bitcoin is, invested on gambling. Yes! I just bet all my bits at hig risk and lost all within a second Sad Shocked

~Rude Boy Kiss

Same with me. I betted huge amount of bitcoins on the team which was favorite but I was not lucky that day. The major upset created in the game and the non favorite team won the game and I lost most of my bitcoins in a single day and since that day I am staying away from gambling. Grin

Not buying enough. I bought in before $100 and saw it go to over 1k, but I guess it's not too bad given the price now but still could have made a nice sum.

My worse mistake was not selling Paycoins during the PUMP at 15$usd per Paycoin. I was expecting it to raise further and even maybe really get 20$ per.
My second worse mistake was not selling Paycoins after the DUMP at 4-6$usd per Paycoin.

The worst error is to invest 3BTC pbminingcom, and a week later they ran away with my coins.

Buying  a cloudmining contract on pbmining and bitcoincloudservice  Grin Grin Grin

From the day that they launched their "service," many users have already raised a red flag on them, but still people believed that they are legit and will continue to pay their users. Afaik, their service lasted for a year or so before they ran. Good thing I wasn't one the people who put their money on it thinking that it will give me some returns.

Your friend wasn't wrong theoretically. It is just very nature of bitcoin can't be tamed and you never know when price will go up and when bubble pop.
It was not a mistake you just entered the scene in a bad moment.
Yeah actually I never blame him, in otherwise I should thank him  Smiley  I just regret didn't get into bitcoin early, when its price was at around $1,000.

My biggest mistake was to trust some bullshit crypto company. Later they turned out to be not really that great and untrustworthy. All promises were lies.
But I learned that way that you could never trust bitcoin 3rd party service fully.
Most of them seems obviously as scammers, especially the new companies. The first thing they will do is gain your trust little by little, then if you fully believe, they will get your money.
