Would YOU choose to live forever?

Scientists have made a discovery that could lead to a revolutionary drug that actually reverses ageing.

The drug could help damaged DNA to miraculously repair and even protect Nasa astronauts on Mars by protecting them from solar radiation.

A team of researchers developed the drug after discovering a key signalling process in DNA repair and cell aging.

During trials on mice, the team found that the drug directly repaired DNA damage caused by radiation exposure or old age.

'The cells of the old mice were indistinguishable from the young mice after just one week of treatment,' said lead author Professor David Sinclair.

Human trials of the pill will begin within six months.

Cool

That would be the stupidest thing humans will ever do. Only GOD can decide wether we live or die. We are just creations and do not have the right to alter what has been given to us already. I really don't see anything good that cam ever come out of this discovery. Yes, human life matters but people die for a reason and this reason gives way for us to multiply. We even have too much addition in population than deduction which becomes a problem for everyone. Thus is just pure bullcrao.
Nah, I'll decide if I can prolong my life myself if I find a way to. And if God ever decides to show up I'll argue with him all day.

Either way, we can just move on to other planets and build higher buildings to counter rising populations, so the only argument you've made is pointless.

Ummm nope. We are not meant to live forever. And if ever we'd manage to do so, people will also find way to contradict this. And if not, a higher force would do the burden of killing. We are not gods and are never meant to be gods.  Evolution and nature itself should never be altered. This will only result to something bad.

Ok it depends, if i could live forever and have the ability to "kill myself" at anytime....then i'd have np living forever.

If i was invincible and couldn't die...nah screw it, i'd still live forever and wander the universe.

I'm hoping to make enough money to invest in immortality research or at least pay ahead for cryogenics. I would love to live forever.
Google around. There's actually a significant effort being made towards longevity research now and it actually seems possible. If we're lucky we might just be able to live until reversing aging becomes a thing, if we're unlucky we could end up the last generation that will die from old age. Grin

No it won't. If you get bored that's your fault. There's literally an infinite amount of things to do right now, and there's going to be even more in the future. You will never be capable of exploring everything, so it's impossible to get bored unless you choose to.

Even if we want , we can't withstand the negative emotions we have like being hurt or if you want to live forever you should be so indestructible person which i do not have an idea if it is possible. For me, yes i want to live forever unless being hurt is not present there.

I would if my body will be in tip top shape all the time. I mean disease free. Immortality has no point if you're diabetic and complaining about arthritis every winter. If the problem is seeing my loved ones die, i think i could move on from that
Nice. I thought I was the only one who wouldn't mind coping with beloved ones passing on. I agree with the health issue though, but that seems like it'll be solved in the coming decades. Worst case you would probably be sick until ~2100 and then reverse the damages. Which would be good enough for me to be honest.

Ofcourse i want to live forever but i need some guarantees ;
First one is age. 25-28 looking good.
Second one is 1000 BTC  Grin
Why would you care about 1000 BTC if you could live forever? You'd have an infinite amount of time to amass wealth lol
