Oh wait , why don't I feel sorry for people relying on third party to store their bitcoins ? Because they are not smart enough to not use desktop wallets where you and only you are in charge of your bitcoins. I hope lesson is learned and you never try online web wallets again. They can run anyday with your money. Start being smarter , learn a lot in the alternative clients section of this forum and you will see the advantages of desktop wallets.
I also am not able to access my wallet till I provide them with my ID and Address proof. I submitted the documents and asked them to open my account. I just hope they let me access my account as I have 0.3 BTC in my wallet and need my funds asap.
Just FYI to all the people that think that I am not legit: this user sent me a PM and with that push, I was able to get back to check the documents, get back to her support ticket, and reactivate the account!

Wallet online is very risky. I think it's safer to use wallets offline. However I use the wallet of xapo and I managed to move large amount of bitcoins without any problem. Hear no lock. 30 minutes ago I made a shipment of 2 BTC Xapo to my Wallet offline. Everything went perfectly as expected. I think this problem is only happening to you. Try to contact the XAPO. For me this is one of the best online portfolios.

But I know for a fact that if you gambled with your BTC and use for example Coinbase wallet your account will be frozen as well.
So this - or other 'suspicious' activity is most likely the reason your account is 'blocked'.

you use ur real ip-adress, email, id, widdraw from an atm with an inbuild facecam, or whatever and your country has a law that you need to pay taxes on mining. like here by me.
may they get forced to lock the account if its not a registered wallet for a real company.
I also bet that some (real legit) companys from europe need to work together with the governments.

Anyways its legal in my country to earn every month 450 texless wehich iam doing on my xapo wallet. Normally!so be aware you have been warned guys.. My account balance is for no reason from one day to another on hold.

The reason why I like XAPO and why i don't believe it's a scam is that it funded by some of the biggest names in private equity (e.g. Fortress Investment). These guys earn millions per day and would never Support a Company that is scamming for a few Bitcoins. Just not worth the negative PR. I doubt all These big names involved in XAPO would Support any such corporate policy.

Yes, I can assure you all that Xapo is not a scam. I am the Head of Customer Support at Xapo and due to regulatory reasons, if users have reached some limits or we did not previously ask for their information and then they reach a certain limit, then we are needing to ask for ID verification. We apologize that this was not communicated to some beforehand and also I apologize that we have a backlog in getting to some cases. However, I am willing to help anyone out and will expedite their case!

I have been with Xapo.com since they started and never had one problem.
Me too. but I am just using the simple wallet to receive and send payments. I have not get any problem but after reading this post. I prefer to go to xapo and redeem all my balance from there. taking care is better then loosing money. I've 0.5btc in xapo and they are too important for me. I've earned them in 6 month with my hard works. and don't want to loose them..

After Reading this thread and OP's accusation I went to Xapo. logged in my account there and Send all my balance to my electrum address.. the transaction done pretty fast and I got my money to my electrum wallet in only few minutes.
now I am feeling that there is everything fine with xapo. but OP is doing propaganda against the service. I don't know what happened with his account why his account got locked. he may tried to do something illegal and got banned from the site.
but for me Xapo is still working fine and good..

I have been a XAPO user for over a year and it has not failed me once. I might be wrong but I believe I had a handphone number tied with them, and 2FA enabled. And I do not access XAPO through a proxy.
So far so good.

My XAPO is still working fine. Did you guys enable 2FA? Did you guys accept XAPO via TOR or VPN? Did you guys use your XAPO address on gambling sites?

I have no problems with xapo here as well, and used my debit card this morning and worked.
I was also got problem with xapo but its already fixed now. Its my fault Im not blame them because its for the safe of the user who trust using their wallet.
ive got an locking issue on my Xapo account but everythings fix when i contact support althoug its bit late atleast its ok now,and if you still experiencing the same problem better to send many tickets to their support until they answer your inquiry.
What was the problem with your account, was it your mistake or theirs? Did it take long for them to reply and unlock your?
Are you still using them? I am just curious as I am also using xapo.
Since they dont charge the fees like blockchain I guess the support staff is smaller.
