ExtraSpecialBitter everyone is free to work on any ideas that will add value to the project.It's a community effort so it will have to be all hands on deck for anything non technical development wise.We need peeps with time to spare who are willing to tweet,promote or whatever.

If this is to be a community focused project then it is up to the whole community to use the coin and talk with each other about ideas for making things grow in the way they want to see it happen and we will make every effort to create the platform/infrastructure funds permitting.

Like we said nobody is in charge here.Everybody who makes an effort in any shape or form is as good as the next man here.If you want to join the team in any shape or form jump onboard.

Once the swap takes place, are there any immediate plans for marketing, etc or is that all still to be decided? Thanks.

The deadline for the XBC swap taking place at Poloniex is TODAY May 20th, 2015.  Please make sure to move all of your coins to Poloniex before that time to ensure that your coins are swapped.  

We would also like to announce the sustainability/funding plan that will be put into effect after the swap takes place.  We encourage everyone to review this document.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled both 1.6.0.0 and 2.2.1.0 versions of the old wallet and they work fine.

I have just reinstalled a wallet to see if the same error happens and it seems fine.Is your wallet even opening?What version of windows is it and what is the error code?

Note... New wallets will be released on 5/20/15.  Support for the old wallet will end on 5/20/15 as well.

Is your wallet actually opening and if so is it syncing?AFAIK checkpoints are only needed for the network to agree on the blockchain, for forks etc so shouldnt stop your wallet from syncing or sending coins.

    Opened my wallet after some months, to get into the swap. But first i get an alert on the bottom, saying "checkpoint is too old..." and then windowsruntime  error.
    Can you help me ?

We have been getting a lot of emails asking about the trading pattern on the exchange recently.

In answering a few points raised:

-NO we are NOT suppressing the price and are NOT concerned how low or high the price goes at anytime.

-YES we have NO problem with anyone buying or selling at ANY price(Cryptoland is a free country the last time we checked).Volume is good for traders and contributes to the exchange.

-NO we are not planning a major pump to 500btc(I dont know where these ideas even come from in fact the coin has been dumped over the last few days).

-YES the coin will remain for as long as we do and the next generation coming after us.

-NO Mr Satoshi does NOT work with us(unless he is going by a different name).

-YES we will be continuing with further development into the future(We are only getting started and even this new start is just an experiment as once we see a genuine community interest and input effort we will go in whatever direction they want,budget permitting).If you are a tech geek and want to implement something feel free to chime in.

-NO we are not a foundation or any other official BS that seems to be happening to other coins once they smell profits(XBC is owned and will be ran by whoever the fuck wants to run it NAMELY YOU and any other Jane or Joe who uses their wallet and trades the coin or sends an email or whatever.

-YES we are trying to make it basically run itself like decentralised,autonomous,peer to peer systems are supposed to in the true sense WITHOUT despots and dictators and communities that are ran like centralised communists.

-YES anyone is welcome to develop any technical stuff that they want to contribute to the coin provided it doesnt compromise decentralised P2P protocol.

We will post swap details and financial/spending/sustainability plans as soon as these final steps are coordinated with Poloniex.   I am excited to say that we are very very very close to a new beginning. 

It took me a while but I got all my coins over to Poloniex. I had to send it smaller amounts.  Thanks everyone for your help.  Looking forward to a new beginning.
