right now every new exchange has more chance of picking up volume then a potential mintpal v3. we still don't have the perfect altcoin exchange yet unfortunatly.
I really hope everybody gets their coins back. with gox people been accused of greed trying to chase gox prices prior the default. this is a different situation here. this hit more unexpected imo but still the sings been there since vrc. I'm glad i didn't trade there now.

your not the only one... while I moved a good amount off MP, I still had some and the balance was off on mp v2....
There's still a decent chance you'll get (some of) your coins back:
"MintPal as an exchange is sticking around, and will be up within the next day or so in order to enable people to withdraw coins ahead of key changes to the platform" - Moolah post today.
MP is finished. If I was leading the MP development team I would shut it down and secretly start up another exchange with the same old reliable trading engine and a different UI.

I was never able to withdraw it from V2.
Although it is looking very much like MintGox, I wouldn't lose all hope just yet. They say they're gonna sort it. Fingers are crossed for anyone who's left anything on there.

yes you can update over current wallet, ALWAYS MAINTAIN current backups of your wallet.dat !!!!!!
and it should have the bandwidth fix as well << but it appears it is still causing excessive trafic
