As I said the current design is based around our current tech which means that especially the xchat window is likely to change considerably.

SDC are smashing it when it comes to UI etc. also check their website, its way better than ours..

I really hope when XC gets its new UI and overall revamp its going to be even better.

XC is miles ahead regarding tech, but we need to get on the case regarding things like this.

I can't wait until our app is user friendly enough for non tech people. Will be so much easier to spread the word if i can send a download link to a friend and easily have a private chat and then send them some "magic internet money" while im at it.

However I would like to stress that the first revisions of the UI will be based around current technology meaning that they will be more focused on design.

Dark didn't have the name x11coin, but they were originally called xcoin, I believe. So a reference to x11coin would have indeed been a reference to xcurrency. Or perhaps the book was referencing the X11 algorithm?

Yeah i gave it some thought and came to the conclusion XCurrency sounds to "economical" for everyday people. thats great for the platform but not for the coin itself. XPay would close that gap.

XC has some old man dust on it for various reasons that hinder a lot of people to connect with it on a emotional level which is also important for mass adoption. XC gets often compared to apple, well they got that shit down and we not quiet yet.

I sometimes get the impression the write ups of our Press releases are almost "too good" from an articulation and writing style point of few. I personally take great joy in people like synechist that talk and think outside the box but lets face it, majority of people rather get put of if they can't relate to someone or something and XC presentation while one of a kind gives me that expression sometimes of beeing to "special". i don't want street talk but a little more peoples language would be better i think.

thats not personal synechist , i love your writing style in this thread but for the public image it shoul be more accessible. Right now XC looks like some project of only University professors 50+ if you only read about it in the media and not in here.

Fail to understand the link between a 'bad node' (fail to sign can be intentional if i understand it correct) & DOS, Atm think the terms 'multisig' & 'transaction timeout' are needed to explain the reaction to that event or even a split of that bullet between tech problems or a deliberate attempt to steal the coins that sould be forwarded

I agree, this is why I have suggested the use of cartoons. Show the users the benefits they get with a picture format story, the front page cartoon should show "why XC?", the subpages should show the benefits each feature can deliver to the customer with a scenario cartoon.
However this is only needed at 3.0 when XC targets the public, for now I believe that the communication style is deterring trolls. One minor suggestion would be adding the articles like the web 3.0 as links in the roadmap.

I think its rather attracting trolls. Its this underlying projection of superiority in a kind of akademically elite way that provoces constant counteraction. I don't like the Release date mentality in this regard. people want the feeling of beeing part of the movement and i think we are missing out on some grassroots dynamic type of build up. It looks like we have a great channel to the media but not to the people.

I mean define " the public" . perhaps i missed something but is there some gigantic crowd out there not carring about crypto right now we expect to be all over XC when rev3 comes? the "crypto public" is watching now and they need to get emotionally involved just as much as intelectually to buy XC. And i don't see that happen with our current release architecture. It really comes down to Arlyn beeing to damm smart, eloquent and also sounding like so basically. Cheesy

XC can give private identities to those who doesn't have privacy or identity.

XCurrency is a solid coin. One of the few rocks in a very volatile crypto landscape. It's definitely a long-term HOLD. I'm just happy prices are where they currently are, so I can keep acquiring slowly. Great work by this team! Also, it's nice to see some of the XCurrency dev team now working with NHZ. Hopefully that eventually becomes the NXT killer.
