will a linux client for rev2 be released?

Synechist can confirm this but Dan was talking about a probable release of mac and linux wallets on Sunday

Yes there will be a Linux version. XC will always be cross-platform.

Gutted I did not hear about this in my home town! :

http://www.manx.net/tv/mt-tv/watch/66795/crypto-currency-conference

I would have gone and told them all about XC.  Grin

What caught my attention is Brock Pierce talking about Web 1.0 - if he hasn't heard about XC's Web 3.0 then i'm sure he would be seriously interested.

Yes its working , i really like the simple autonode over the top bar ! Good way to show this is working !

The shortcut in the start menu is ok with all the argument but not the one on the desktop there is no argument in it, just to clarify Smiley

One more question ,you was speaking about "stacking=0" to add in the Xcurrency.conf file to stop the minting of the wallet,  i have add it but i always see that its minting , that's right ?

With this version, you can stake provided you have enough coins in your wallet.. so you can get stake interest and mixing fee's

to turn off staking though use

staking=0 (not stacking=0)

Dan

w8. If some1 has 10k XC and 10 wallets in 10 different environments/IPs he can have 10 xmixers, is that argument correct?(So we got 10 mixers but no staking revenue since each mixer commits 1k, right?)
BUT if some1 has 10k XC in 1 wallet setup as a mixer, he can make staking + the mixer fees? which method will provide better, more optimal revenue, is there an estimation to that?(1 mixer but many coins to stake from? and how would coin control relate to that, what coins does the mixer use so it doesnt reset their age?)

Good Morning XC brats!!  Grin Grin Grin Grin

Bumping this up already for some technical answer Smiley

Morning folks!

If you have 10k in a mixer, you might get a stake, but the chances are the inputs will be used as mixer outputs and their age will reset.

At the moment, if you run an Xmixer, you can't prevent an address (nor an unspent transaction output) from being used for mixing.

You're best off maintaining a separate wallet.dat for your staking.

And to address an earlier question, you only need to run a staking wallet once every few days.

ok, from what I gather, what we need with this RC is an update with some kind of advanced coin control feature, so we can make a wallet set address for mixing and separate ones for staking, s their age doesnt reset!

I'd like to make a suggestion.  I'm surprised XC doesn't have this.

Please add an update warning message inside the wallet.  Since there are quite a few updates being released now and in the future, it would be useful to have this.  FlutterCoin had this inside their wallet.  There was another older coin but I do not remember which one it was.

This would help make sure everyone was up to date.

Dumb thing to do, is that why nobody answered this?Huh

Would this work for setting up my Mixer?

For the past couple of days in my spare time I have been playing round with setting up virtual drives on my Windows 8.1 machine -  Hyper V plus W7, XP & Ubuntu.  All running too slow and clunky, with glitches.

Either I upgrade my RAM (a tiny 4GB - I normally use a Mac for day to day stuff) and purchase a better virtualizer, OR can I run my Wallet and Mixer on the same machine but in separate sandboxes.  I have tested the Wallet and it runs fine sandboxed, but I don't know how they will run together (ie sandboxed separately but running at the same time on the same IP).  I hope that makes sense.

Any thoughts, advice?

YOu can run your Xnode wallet or your Xmixer wallet on a sandbox but not on the same ISP IP.

Thanks tr8kr

don't know why I'm rising to this bait - but sorry technicals apply equally to any volumes as long as you choose the time scale long enough to
incorporate enough data - just look the the charts if you don't believe me. Even FLT/BTC which has less than 1BTC per day obeys the same rules as BTC/USD.

one buyer or one seller will destroy technicals predictions which is why volume is needed.

I guess we will just have to agree to disagree.
I agree. Volume is important. It was originally said to be important as it was thought to show broad participation in a move.
BTC is probably the only coin to have enough data and volume to say too much, but the data we see in XC is not irrelevant

Hey Guys,

I have wallet v0.9.2.49_RC6.XCurrency-REV2 running, autonode on top left hand corner.

It looks like I just had a Mixer transaction but I was charged.

Let's stack up buy orders at 150k, whaddya say? I've got one in there at 150k on Bittrex.

Anyone else take my suggestion and catch some more XCs on today's dumps?

so my wallet has the autonode at the top, is that all that is needed to run the mixer? I haven't done anything except run the xmixer installer. My coin total is still the same as well
