This isn't a question about whether everyone gets a voice (because everyone does, already), it's a question about how best to keep news and updates prominent while facilitating discussion - all without inciting mprep to delete anything.
The idea I suggested might:
- decentralise the conversations and empower the community to take the initiative with things.
- prevent news getting lost in the noise.
- serve to spread the word about XC to other people in the forum more effectively.
For what it's worth... this forum is called bitcointalk, not crypotalk or so.
I know being present here with information is important, since it's the first address for most new interested parties. But I think it would be good to encourage people to go to the xctalk forum by providing information there first (or at least parallel). Testing software and things like that should only happen on xctalk, since it's very impractical to mix this matter with a continuous stream of chat.
My point is the team should give more attention to our forum, which doesn't mean to not provide news here. But it would be nice, if some FUDsters come here with ancient accusations and what not, if you can direct them to a dedicated xctalk thread where it has been discussed and not direct them to a clarifying post you made 100 pages back in the tread.
Just my 2cent.
