That's true but don't you think that people new to crypto look there for coins that are "legit". I mean, we know that XC is, but not everybody does.
If I was new to Crypto, i might choose to invest in one of those because, at least I know the are not scams.

Oh yeah of course they would and that's what the op is therefore as well as the team details on the site.

Multipath (and trustless mixing) was implemented on 7/7/14 in the Rev 2 release.

It's working, and the team has been testing, bugfixing, and refining it since then and have released several updates.

Before the final Rev 2 release, stealth addresses will be added. This means that Privacy Mode will obscure not only the amount and the sender's address, but the receiver's address too. It's a whole other level of privacy.

In order for XC to use stealth addresses in the way we want to, we needed to implement XChat. Your XChat address will function as a traceless "business card" by which people can both pay and contact you. When they pay, your publicised address will not receive the payment (due to stealth addresses), and when they message you, no record is left on the blockchain. Therefore you have a fascinatingly public-but-private way of presenting yourself to the world.

Since XChat is now pretty much done, Dan has moved onto updating decentralised mixing, and is nearing the final Rev 2 release.

It will be peer reviewed/tested/bountied/etc. around Rev 3.

The review itself is only about the code, not the people involved - checking for anything amiss or harmful. There are other solutions for that in place already and it is up to the individual buyer if they should invest. It is not financial advice in any manor.
